  • If your child has a reading disability you want to help them however you can. But finding the right curriculum and resources can be frustrating. In this video I'll share some information about dyslexia, phonics versus phonemic awareness, and what and what reading programs are designed to retrain the dyslexic brain. I'll also share flashcards, apps, and more to help with reading remediation and accommodation.

When we watched your video, we cried a little. It was like you were describing our daughter. We immediately got the Equipped for Reading Success and are pouring over it currently. This is the most informative video we have seen on this subject. Please, please, please continue to share your thoughts and resources with others. We were feeling very alone until this, so thank you, thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! While it's difficult for me to help my daughter with dyslexia, having someone like you sharing your journey really clam me! Not that you didn't already help us enough but I would love to know if you have any tips on helping dislexic kids with their math, like multiplication as we all know that memorizing is not the strength to kids with dyslexia.

I just wanted to come on here and thank you so much for ur review on the abecedarian company. My struggling 2nd grader had tried numerous programs to help her read and it just wasn’t clicking. We started her on level b abecedarian and I’m not kidding, within 2 weeks of using the program she was starting to read books… where before she could barely finish a level k book. We are toward the end of 2nd grade and I am so happy to have found this curriculum. It gave her quick success and gave her the confidence to continue to try reading

Hi. Thank you for the video. I have an 8 yr old struggling reader. He will be in 3rd grade in the Fall. The ABcCeDarian Program looks great. Would you recommend the set of storybooks for that age or are they too simplistic?

So would you prefer ABC reading over Barton? I’ve heard Barton is slow and boring but works. I know you did Barton but if you could go back would you just start with ABC only or did Barton help to start with?

Side note: it helps to engage the listener if you look at the camera and not the screen of yourself. Just a thought 🤔

I used to think that Barton had monopolized the information for “retraining the mind” for dyslexics but it’s not true, I’m doing it for my child and it’s just awesome when you can’t afford the thousands for this program.
