Noo! don't give up, don't ever give up! that's what Dyslexia wants you to do, sort of like trolls from the internet come to think of it. LOL when I was in college what helped me alot is recording the entire class so I can rewatch it later along with 10 min study 5 min break than 20 min study 5 min, than back to 10 mins, etc. I hope this helps. :)
a little side note the best way to control ''freaking out because you don't know how to say or do'' is to calm down because you're not the only person in the world that doesn't know. :P

also, there is nothing wrong with “ear” reading. Especially in subjects, like history, science, etc. where main focus is not reading. Learning Ally is a wonderful app specific for dyslexics. Yearly subscription is not expensive especially when they run their sales and it is well worth itthe yeay fee.

Hi Dan, are you aware of any dyslexia dedicated channels? The benefits of dyslexia, if you know how to leverage the differences, are largely unknown by the general public and by many dyslexics. I've been thinking of doing a channel on how people can leverage their unique skills, whilst mitigating the language challenges.

Are there any apps you know of that help adults, that already have a grasp on dyslexia but could use help with expressing what they are trying to say in like a speech? My son is in politics but says sometimes he has a hard time explaining his thoughts/ideas so others get what he means.

Inspiration is good for mind mapping and organising ideas. I tried Read and Write Gold but I didn't like it. I heard that Dragon software is really good but I don't think the newer versions are compatible with Apple devices. I liked the Livescribe echo pen because you can take notes and record at the same time. I haven't tried the newer Livescribe models. I like the accessibility coloured filters and speech to text software on iPhones. I think that an iPad might be a good option as they have the same accessibility filters and text to speech software and I like the idea of being able to draw out ideas with the apple pencil.

How things have changed. My family read all my college text books to me. I can read. I just read so slow i couldn't keep up with required readings. This was before audio books. Lol

what me and my sister do is record the entire class and watch it again later but if a college have a test before taken any courses than I can't help you there, study! for whatever it is. what help me is studying for 10 mins and 5 min break through out the day rather its reading whatever it is you got this!

I dont have iphone because i cant pass the online courses i need to enable me to earn a good wage. I passed everything but now stuck with the online part, any suggestions as i ma faling to pieces. Thats exactly what i wanted to say toi, I have zero interest in spelling or grammar, i really could not care less about it, but pathways i do care about, memory recall, which affects my ability to remember where apps are, how to adjust settings or use my phone at all, i cant remember pathways, and its am ADHD thing too, i cant get from A to B without broken down directions, no good babbling them all in one go, anyway you understand so no point me going on, but well said, is what i meant to. Say
