What a beautiful old woman Cathleen Nesbitt was..
I loved her as Lady Southwold in the original Upstairs, Downstairs.
Her performance in "The haunting of Julia" was AMAZING! She gripped me in her scene in it.
Here’s a lady who’s 10 times more attractive in old age than she was when young. What charm, what class. So witty, too 💖 What a grande dame. #oldagegoals
What a lovely lady. Thank you for this!!
Just lovely
Lady Southwold! Maud! Brilliant
This was right before her performance in The Haunting of Julia, my favorite part of the movie
The lovely elderly lady from An Affair to Remember - (Cary Grant's grandmother, Janou), and its beautiful music ..
Cathleen is just amazing. What a lady! I love watching her in “The Farmer’s Daughter” tv series on You Tube.
Beautiful woman ♡
If anyone was wondering, the Hitchcock film Nebitt mentions at 14:40 is Family Plot (1976). And it was Hitchcock's last. But I don't think it was hers?
Her last movie was "Never Never land" 1980.
She played a heroine addict/thief stole Gene Hackmans watch and she had the needle marks on her right forearm in the French Connection 2. What a career she had spanning 7 decades such class and distinction she brought to the screen and stage and her personal life. Like a commenter said she got better with age like fine wine. When you don't realize who's playing a part that you should know right away is a good indication of a really good actor.
❤💗❤💗❤💗
She was cute. She played with Gene Hackman in French Connection 2.
Respect. Thankyou
Lady Souhwold no less!
Mabel Countess of southwold :) upstairs downstairs lady Marjorys mum ;) she was 80 odd by then .. born 1888 died 1982 aged 93 her daughter is 90 odd now born 1928
So sad what happened to Rupert Brooke.
I LOVED HER IN THE PARENT TRAP
I can't remember the name of the comedian, but this fella once noted how his grandmother complained about how those punks (from 40 +years ago) would dye their hair all funny colours.. Uncouth!
He then remarked,
This, from my grandma, who aimed to hide her grey hair,
By dying it purple!
Omg she heard Sarah Bernhardt on the stage!? Damn she must be old!
Don't you get it? You see the hat? I'm MISSESS NESBITT!
1888 - 1982 94 Yaşında Ölmüş
