    Are these headphones good for office? I have too many calls per day, so I need a wireless option to be able to walk around, draw on board, stretch, etc. Bose 700 I use right now causes me a lot of issues with the bluetooth stack. It sounds like these might be a good replacement, but I'm worried about the weight.

Or does surround work only with Atmos supporting games and just in Stereo mode in all others? For example Logitech Pro X has DTS:X virtual surround, and works absolutely with any games, movies as well. There are quite a few games with native Atmos support. Would be great to clarify it. What's the difference between what you did and the Xbox version regarding support for Atmos? Is the atmos support in the cans themselves or the drivers on PC? E.g. if I connect the headphones to a FireTV stick, will I hear the Dolby Atmos effects watching Jack Ryan like on a soundbar? Or the licence is in software outside the headphones themselves. Do you know if the answer to that question would be different depending on xbox/ps5 version?

    Great coverage. Why dont these headphones let you connect via USB direct into the AV Reciever? That way you can output whatever sound from whatever devices you have connected to the reciever. Its odd everything has to be platform specific. Maybe Im missing something. Ordered these, but wondering if I can just hook the USB dongle into my Marantz SR6014 Av reciever and output the sound that way? Guessing not. Its a little irritating to constantly be wearing out USB -ports every time you switch devices and with limited USB slots on PS5 and Series X, problematic since I use brooke adapters to use multiple controllers on those platforms. Might have to use the back USB port on Series X, unsure if PS5 has extra USB ports.

Looking for 1 all around system to pair with TV and Xbox... appreciate the feedback. (Samsung smart TV with Bluetooth)

    • @moon-audio
      @moon-audio  Před 11 měsíci +7

      Not a question we were expecting but it was certainly fun to test! You can pretty easily connect these Maxwells to a Samsung Smart TV. Open the settings app, go to audio outputs and select Bluetooth speakers. Then make sure your Maxwells are turned on and double tap the power button to enable pairing mode. The option to connect came up instantly for us on the TV. From there all TV functions were instantly outputting to the headphones! We do not have an Xbox in office currently, but it seems likely the TV output would also extend to the Xbox. However, this might introduce more compression and latency than if you connect to the Xbox via Bluetooth separately. Ideally you would want to use the wireless USB dongle to output the Xbox to the headphones so we tested to make sure you can quickly switch between Bluetooth and USB output to the headphones on a PC and you can! So the ideal setup would be to pair your Maxwells to the TV via Bluetooth and just leave the USB dongle plugged into the Xbox. It should automatically switch back and forth! 🙂

      The new PS5 firmware update adds support for HDMI-connected devices with Atmos licenses. I have the PlayStation version and using them on my PS5. Current Firmware. I'm having an issue when watching movies through Netflix, Hulu, Prime etc... On most of the movies (about 90%) the actors voices sound separate from the movie itself, almost like they are on another audio track and overlaid into the movie, regardless of EQ setting. That's the best way I can describe it. It is a stark contrast from other headphones I have used in the past, most recently Astro A50's, that sound more natural in having all the sounds/voices of the movie blend together. Anyone else experiencing this? Any fix for this?

    Do these headphones have any bass? I have been using the Corsair Virtuoso XT Wireless and through USB cable wIred and USB wireless dongle using the native headset 7.1 Audio processing the bass not optimal. Though Using a 3.5mm cable to use my motherboard Realtek onboard processing along with Window Dolby Atmos Processing at 24bit/48000Khz and added Gain using a third party EQ App the Corsair Virtuoso will have adequate bass and hi end tones the gain really enhances the foot steps I notices I can even hear my foot steps much louder while crouch walking in COD MW3 . Im trying to justify switching from the Corsair Virtuoso XT Wireless to the Audeze Maxwell Wireless. The Audeze Maxwell Wireless has 90mm drivers which IO assume could push more bass the the Corsairs 50mm drivers. Why a dedicated micro will be ideal for competition gaming ? wtf ?

    • @moon-audio
      @moon-audio  Před 11 měsíci +1

      When it comes to a wireless connection there is a lot of noise/interference introduced when simultaneously outputting and inputting sound.
      The same occurs with a wired connection, although to a lesser degree.
      So when it comes to squeezing out every last bit of clarity and performance for a competitive edge, it is a best practice to have a dedicated mic so that your headphones are only receiving sound. This mitigates any potential loss in quality. Plus, a dedicated mic will make your voice clearer for your teammates at the end of the day.
      The Maxwells having a good built-in mic is an awesome feature for ease of use, traveling and more laid-back playing sessions, but not endgame for competitive play as an all-in-one device.
      Hope this helps! Thanks for the comment!

    For Gaming? These are one of the WORST... not from the quality aspect, but from the feature lacking perspective. Spat
    Even this video here: says they are great for gaming because they have great "wifi" (aka wireless) connection, great battery, hi quality detachable microphone, etc... None of these MATTER to the gamers if there is no virtual surround, spatial audio, 3d feel - so people can hear where the enemy is coming from... That is where this headset fails in my opinion... they were never meant to be gaming headset, so I am excited once they come out with one ...
