Crazy that a former social worker doesn’t realize the gravity of how dangerous it is to normalize relations with that family as a whole sadly, allowing her daughter around theirs even though she is innocent in this tells other parents that the offender’s family is no one to be alarmed by. I love when John said “You aren’t going to do anything, are you?” and her immediate response is nervous laughter. He saw right through her at that moment and exposed the truth. This lady only called to gossip about it and not take any action. If that was my kid i’m calling the wife immediately and exposing that information and demanding an explanation. Just because you’re a social worker doesn’t mean you have the guts to do something like that

My dad is a sex offender and I always had friends ghosting me, or families that we were no longer allowed to hang out with (parents always blamed it on the other family!). I have struggles with abandonment fears because of it. When we discovered who my dad was 3 years ago, we removed my daughters and his teen daughters from the situation. He has the balls to consider it the fault of myself and my husband that he has no access to his granddaughters. Ick. 🤯🙅🏼‍♀️

I agree with everyone else here the caller needs to end this relationship and notify the community group asap.
With that said, where does the background checking and googling start and stop these days? It’s a known fact that abusers are usually people closest to you within your own family. How can you truly protect your child these days from the world?
I have a young daughter and there are lots of children in my extended family, i’m sad to say I’ve thought that I should not leave my child unattended with some of her own male cousins or aunts or uncles. Can I really google everyone she comes in contact with?

I'm appalled on all levels. I had my boss who is a forensic voice analyzer listen and he said all factors point that she will not immediately resolve this problem and he determined that through her hesitancy and balking when beginning sentences, and avoidance techniques she used in her voice language.
After listening to my boss, I too heard all the silent lies she told. Then we both thought, what about the family itself??? The mother should have thought twice before going back with her child with him or even having a child with him. It will not be long before the predator's child is at an age more desirous to him and then the real issues will begin.
Caller should break ties immediately and report to authorities about him being involved in community groups with children. AMEN!!

My concern is that this community group doesn’t have a required mandatory background check for the vulnerable. As far as I know every institution is required to do so. If the group chose to disregard the check, they are held accountable and liable for their actions and failure to protect children.
