I live in Maine, but The Whites are my #1 too. There's something remarkable about The White Mountain National Forest that's kept me going back for 40 years.
Thank you for showing where you hiked. I feel like there are so many people who are unable to see these places due to financial restraint or physical disability.
Taylor I love you. I got the discount on my backpack and and have been following along for 3 years. You are such a beautiful soul. You are magical and bless your parents for raising you right even though you were named after Tim Taylor. I LOVE your mama.
The Whites remind me of the Rockies but on a smaller scale. The views are fantastic! The southern Appalachians are also beautiful with all of their different flora.
Hey, I opened a new hostel in Marion, Va called The Merry Inn Hiker Hostel, above an outfitter called Marion Outdoors. You’ve got a free stay if you want to come hike Grayson again sometime! -Coach
Coach, the one picture that stands out in memory of the AT I saw in NatGeo, was AT above Harper's Ferry.. is that really what that view looks like there? It's a pretty famous image, I guess?
@@bold810 Harpers Ferry is very beautiful, but I’m wondering if you’re talking about McAfee knob. That’s the most famous picture from the Appalachian Trail.
Not necessarily in that order, but I am totally with you on the locations. Tinker, section hiker from 1980something to 2022, hopeful thruhiker 2023, celebrating my 70th birthday in July! 🙂
I'll be honest... I haven't watched your videos since your AP through hike... and you look so grown up in this video! Now i gotta go get caught up in your life! Lol
NH is such beautiful state! I did a hike there. ( Franconia notch state park ) We went up via the falling water trailhead, cloudland falls, shining rock, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Lafayette, green leaf trail and back via the old bridle path on the way down. It took us 6 hours to complete but wow the views are incredible! This summer we have In mind Mt. Washington and Mt Washington Auto road as well. Thanks for your recommendations.
The Whites are just so much fun and beautiful all year round. I loved the Grayson Highlands. I was trying to figure out what section I should do this summer. I was considering the Triple Crown or the Shenandoah's. I am hoping to do about 80 miles. Any recommendations?
Hey Taylor.. Now that you've finished you AT venture, Congrats!!! AND since you're from our Granite State, we kind of assume you have done a majority of the NH 48x4000s. How bout a video listing your favorite 4ks of the Whites? Just a thought.
Ms. Taylor, im west-coasty PCT-ey, is Mt. Washington really that hyperwindy, blizzardy place that folks make it to be, Ive got Mt. Whitney around me and I've never heard of 200+ mph gusts-! 😮

It's amazing!
From central Maine myself😂😂
Same here. I can see Mt katahdin from my yard.
Moved to NH after hiking all the 4,000 footers in the Whites. There's something magical about those mountains.
