#LIVE #DellXPS #Upgrade - Věda a technologie
This is AWESOME! I think this would be THE only video on YT which showed a Dell XPS 15 9570 Upgrade to 64GB RAM and 4TB NVME M.2 SSD. Thanks much!!!
I hope everything works great!
I love it when you do upgrade videos. Nicely done Carey. Thank you for the continued education.
Nice upgrade Carey, Thanks for sharing it with all of us. Thanks @CrazyVera for the edit.
That was a great real world upgrade video. I've recently bought myself a Dell XPS 17 with lower specs so that I could upgrade it. I'm an IT professional and felt for you with the data stick issue but that is the sort of thing that does happen. Well done, mate.
A very educative tutorial. Thank you! I like your confidence and self belief enough not to fear making mistakes!
Excellent instructional video, Carey. Really appreciate you taking your time to explain every little step and obstacle encountered to reach the component upgrade. Thank you!
looking good Carey
Great video Carey! The clone using Acronis and the NVMe enclosure will be very useful for me.
Great video , thanks for making it. I have this laptop and now know what to do to upgrade it.
I love Dell Laptops. Very easy to upgrade and I have worked alongside Dell techs at my last job and they highly praise this brand for quality and ease of upgradability.
Carey, you are the man, thank you for having the patience of showing how repairing a laptop is not as intimidating as it appears to be. I must admit you have nerves of steel buddy. Thank you Thank you and Thank you
I love the video Carey!!
This is what I just needed. Thanks
great video Carey
This is exactly what I needed!
Hello! Carey thank you so much I learn another upgrading technic I learn a lot thanks again stay safe and take care
Thanks Carey. Really helpful demo. Very interesting to see that 64gb of ram WAS possible on your Dell.
Nice job with the video. You gave some very good advice.
Good video Carey. I followed one of your pervious videos when replaced my 1T HDD with a 1T SSD. Looking inside laptops is entertaining to me. I’m not a tech, I started using an IBM PC/XT, so I’ve been around computers a long time.
Cheap tools just aren’t worth the supposed savings.
great video! bravo!
the king! my respects
Thanks @CrazyVera for the edit.
You can hold SHIFT and press restart in windows and it will get you into the UEFI directly.
37:05 love the pitch meetings reference lol
👍👌😍😍😍😍😍😉 THANKS VERY AWESOME visit with you!!!!
Carey will be set for 6ghz when windows 21h2 and the Intel driver comes out in may.
Super!
Thanks!! 64GBDoable thank you!!
Hey Carey and Crew
Still here?
Very helpful video glad you don't rush through it and take us step by step.
Hi will this upgrade 64 gb ram and 4tb ssd work with the dellxps 15 9570 full hd version?
Fantastic video Carey. I'm going to take this on. Thanks for the extra details. Is there anything you would do differently or upgrade doing it now... 1 year later?
No, I would do it exactly the same today.
@@CareyHolzman Hey Carey, I updated my hard drive with no probs. However the UPGRADE to 64 (2x32) RAM didn't take. I'm getting the 4 white lights and 2 yellow lights blinking after I install it. Tried it a few times. I can easily put my old RAM back in without issue, so it's not like a 'push it all the way in' issue. Seems like a compatibility issue. I bought the exact same RAM using your link but it just wont fire up. Black screen and blinking front light below the track pad. Did this about 3 times. Any insights? Thanks
Just an update on my case for others following. I was trying to upgrade to 64 but it didn't 'take'. I returned the 2x32 in exchange for 2x16 (same brand) which worked fine - NO PROBLEMS.
I tried the 64MB... and it failed. Then heard Carey's thought about the BIOS UPDATE. So I updated the DELL BIOS and tried installing 64of RAM bit again it didn't take. I might have had faulty RAM - ??? Basically I gave on 64 - which for me was a little OVERKILL as I do mostly audio editing. I was working with 16 but now I'm at 32MB of RAM. So still happy with my upgrades. Thanks again for your video!
My inspiron laptop have one nvme and hdd slot, upgrading to NVME drive took only 5 minutes,

Great video, Carey... Question: have you done a video on replacement of bad keyboard??
Costs too much to do that for an old laptop. Just get a USB keyboard and be done instantly for minimal cost. Most laptops out of warranty are not worth the cost of fixing in my opinion, therefore I do not do or show that kind of work. I find it to be impractical.
@@CareyHolzman Actually I beg to differ regarding the keyboard. They are not that expensive, and very simple to install-the cost being less than a usb keyboard, and much more convenient. I've done this on a few Dells over the years, one still in warranty that had a defective key.
@@martin42mm I have to agree, replaced my off one bought off ebay and working like new again no problem and very easy to do.
I got ifix it 89 dollar one, it’s great. ifix it has a lifetime warranty on there bits. If a Bit ever gets stripped or breaks, you just send it to them a receive a replacement
BTW, I believe you were using a blue screwdriver when removing the screws, not the green one you were using at the end, just an observation. lol
if you are considering the wifi 6e card replacement on the Dell XPS 15 9500 being described online and in CZcams it wont work because the killer chip is soddered to the board and looks nothing like the one being shown in any of the videos. Which actually sucks.....and is not even mentioned in this video
Because this is a 9570
Sir i have xps 15 9570 4uhd. Can i up the ram to 3200mhz? Instead of 2666
?
You could take the money and flush it down the toilet. Same thing.
Hey Carey I fixed my dad’s laptop what I did is I took out the old SSD it was a Samsung 850 250 GB and I got him a new western digital SSD 240 GB And I will load windows on the USB and flashed it to the USB with a new copy of windows 10 for him bro It was pretty easy It was fun and I enjoyed it I wish I could do it again! Now I have to fix my mom’s laptop because the internal battery is dying because she always has to plug her laptop in or otherwise it turns off man!
Sometimes I wish laptop and system manufacturers put a UEFI that doesn't suck on their motherboards. I went into the BIOS on my hp omen and almost puked at how horrible it was. It was just some legacy keyboard only bios from 2012. And the omen was made in 2018.
