We Cook A Beef Joint In Our Ninja 15 in 1 On Steam Roast

- We've never steam roasted a rolled rib of beef joint in our Ninja 15 in 1 so decided to give it a go. We would normally cook it in our slow cooker for 4 hours to make it tender but it took about 1 hour and remained juicy as well as the roast potatoes were fully cooked. Let's see how it turned out.

Oh my gosh, I’m drooling. Looks absolutely delicious.Well done you two for another great video .
Lynn here on Hubby's phone mines playing up 😏, Hiya , 😘 ng this video , I can cook pork really good but beef I have real trouble with , I've just got a Actifry and a 9.5 litre ninja , however I'm not afraid to admit I'm a bit scared of using it , what setting would you use in the double drawer ninja to do beef ? also how to do the roasties when they won't fit round the roast ? I'm just used to oven doing them round the meat , might I thank you for hopefully helping 🤞, Take Care you lovely people ❤XX
When I get back home from Canada next time I am going to search you out and hope to join you for that Sunday dinner. What a wonderful piece of beef and a splendid 'Full Metal Jacket' helping of vegetables,, roast spuds and perfect Yorkshires. I always feel you take me back home when I watch your videos (I was born in Putney). Love your way of presenting and sense of humour too. I left the UK in 2006 to be with my now Canadian wife Jessica but now I am 81 I feel I shall probably trade my clogs in here ...thank you for showing me what I am missing for my traditional British Sunday dinner. Huge thanks and hugs to you both.
Nice one Paul. We lived in Roehampton in the 70's and 80's
I used to be a lifeguard at the Roehampton private swimming pool back in the 1950/60s (now long gone, I think they built a housing estate on the grounds) and we moved from Putney to East Sheen for most of my teenage years. I was educated at St Paul's in West London. After getting my required GCSEs I qualified in First class radio and Radar at Bristol Technical College and I spent 8 years at sea as a Radio Officer for Marconi Marine then emigrated to New Zealand in 1966. Once ashore I became a TV director and announcer there with the NZBC until 1970, returned to England and ended up working as a TV News Director with the BBC. After early retirement I lectured in media studies for a few years at Swindon College, hence my interest in all the wonderful CZcamsrs and how they present, edit and communicate. Finally fully retiring and taking gardening leave I met my present wife Jessica in a Yahoo chatroom (third time lucky!) and emigrated to Canada ...after 10 years we are still happily married and living in French Canada alongside the Ottawa River. I don't make videos any more as I am pretty disabled and cannot walk too far. My wife does make good videos and is a professional stills photographer. We experienced a flood here recently and if you'd like to see her work follow this link :

Our gaff is the little cottage at the end. I hope this isn't TMFI but I love to correspond with all you good folk...keep up the good work and reviews. I have bought and love my Air Fryer/Pressure Cooker Instant Pot and may invest in a dedicated air fryer soon after I have digested all your recommendations. A bientot amies.
@@paulwhite7593 What an interesting life you have lived!
I’m a bit confused about which one to get. I like crisp stuff but I also want to pressure cook the beef. What’s the best machine please guys. Aussie Bob
My favourite meal. Yumm. Aussie Bob 😊😊😊
4:00 Don't worry - it's not blood, but myoglobin, which is made inside muscle cells. The muscles use myoglobin to store extra oxygen, which comes in handy if you need to use your legs to sprint for a bus :)
You have inspired us to invest in a Ninja A400 and with this video we have purchased a 15 in 1 thank you for revolutionising our cooking methods and saving us money and time love you family vids as well…ignore the jealous hater trolls keep it up stay well😊
Great to hear!
YUM! Good to see the Ninja perform so well - as we can't get the Cosori pressure cooker down here at the moment, so this looks to be a good alternative. Interesting to see the spuds turn out so well - thanks for listing all your tools & appliances. It is SO helpful when I can see tools being used & people giving honest appraisals so I can work out the pros & cons... Happy noshing!
Oh wow!! I've got the 15 in 1 but never used the middle setting 'steam' roast/bake/airfry etc before. This has definitely inspired me to. We're having gammon joint this Sunday so will def try it on steam roast instead of slow cooking it. Thanks guys x ❤
Wow… that looked delicious. I want a roast beef dinner now 😊 Sharon is a great cook xxx
Lovely looking . Yummy time . 😊 looks so easy to make . Thank you for sharing this video with your guest .
That beef looked amazing. Great cook Sharon! And you always help out Martin.🤩🙏🏼👏😘😘
I am watching this a 9pm at night wow could just eat that now.yum yum ❤❤
Oh my word look delicious,I can't afford joints these days , but I'm on my own , so plate us one up ha ha yummy good job no smell vision as yet , well done , X 👍
Wow, I’m salivating watching this, looks amazing.
I can smell that beef dinner and am absolutely drooling, I've got the 14 in 1 without the temperature probe but I use the steam airfry setting for meat joints and it is perfect. FYI you don't need to bother with the pressure valve setting as it's not using pressure to cook the meat joint. Love your videos x
Looks absolutely gorgeous beef and roasties , would go down a treat here.Your video is deffo swaying me into buying a Ninja foodi as my slow cooker is on way out.Ive already got 2 airfryer but you just need a slow cooker for meet sometimes and that beef looks perfect. The heat probe looks very useful..Love to you and family as always x
Wow, that dinner looked amazing mouth watering again. 😊. What a cook sharon is, great cook, great person. Well done lovely people. 👏. I love the taste sensation music, makes me chuckle lol.
Best Yorkshire pudding recipe on CZcams well done Sharon👊

This is your best video in my opinion. Straight forward most people could follow it. And quite a healthy meal!
Thanks for this vlog. Im cooking a piece of beef in mine today but have never tried the steam roast....until now... Never too old to learn something new...cheers
Hope you enjoy
Ohhh yesss, that looks amazing, my mouth is absolutally watering, that 15 in 1 is the business, great video again guys, 👍🏻❤
Rib of beef is my absolute favourite! The dinner looked amazing. Merlin is wagging his tail about like Basil Brush at the end of the video lol (that boy is smelling something darn good).
Thanks Sharon and Martin for another excellent video.
Wish I was close enuf to call in for dinner lol. It looked bloody amazing I was drooling watching the video. Wow you two come up with the goods. Thanks for sharing take care.
I'm going to have to get one of those 15 in 1's ! My Old Boy loves his roast beef and none of that 'jus' stuff either just good rich, thick gravy and lots of it - anyway we don't speak french in our house! Good to see that you and Sharon dish out proper servings too - you gotta put back what the night takes out! Really enjoy your videos - the cooking ones are my favourites, I'm a 'proper' British cook of many years standing but I always learn something or get a good idea from your shows.
Hi Sharon and Martin they all looked lush I watched the vlog for the cosri pressure cooker and was so impressed I brought one and I am over the moon with thank you
Wonderful
That beef looked really nice cooked to perfection love thick gravy too
So good
Fantastic Martin that dinner looked amazing well done Sharon and that baby Frank eats like a king 👍👍👍👍
dunno if you have ever done it but on the fat side of beef joints i get i coat it with marmite, its what we did to roast beef joints for slicing when i worked at George Adams in Frampton... really enhances the beef flavour and stock
That dinner looked delish. You are very lucky to have such a great butchers near you. 😋😋

THAT LOOK GREAT HOPE YOU AND SHARON AND BABBY FRANK ENJOY IT AND ALL THE BEST
It's 8.15am....and I want to eat that dinner now!
I'm well lazy these days when (on the rare occasion) I cook a roast.
I can't risk ruining a joint of beef so I always cook it in the slow cooker = Melt-in-the-mouth tender with superb gravy 😋
The lazy element is more savvy really. It's generally only us 2 so I cook the veg (fresh carrots, cauliflower, Brussels, brocoli and a few peas) in one big pot! Just layer up, with a little water (no salt) to steam essentially). And yeah, the cooking water goes into the gravy.
Spuds and yorkies in air fryer.. Job's a good 'un!
My dear old mum would have loved this Ninja as her pressure cooker was her go-to pot.... heaper cuts of meat were transformed! (Have to say that rolled rib looked amazing!).
That boy Frank must love his grub 😋 😊
Lovely
That looks fabulous
😂😂 when you pulled the beef towards you after telling us what you was going to do with the potatoes it sounded like it was skidding onto the scene, sorry, just made me chuckle 😂😂❤
Well done Sharon looks absolutely amazing. We are having sirloin steak from East coast meats tonight. Picked it up when we were down your neck of the woods at the weekend Martin 👍🏻👍🏻

Steam roast is the best 😊 it does not matter where the valve is for anything other than PC x
Oooh that looks good - thanks for sharing this! :)
My pleasure 😊
Hi guys…… great vid….. but, on the combi steam modes it doesn’t matter on the vent position , it can on vent or seal position. Ta.
Yes, we realised that after. Thanks

Yum. I love making my roast beef in the insta pot. Always like butter.

Oooo that looks lush. ❤
O.M.G that looked so gooooood.

Hi Sharon and Martin, in the words of "Pop" Larkin (David Jason, Darling buds of May), That's perfect! In my words... Yummy! x
looked a beaut of a dinner x
Yummy yum yum, your dinner looks great, so easy too. And not much washing up too. Hope you all enjoyed it. X
It was lovely xx
Have you tried Iceland's frozen mash potato it's fab. Love everything you do . And love all your family. Love from Caroline Butler from Birkenhead. X
Thank you Caroline
Just love this, I think the Ninja is great cause it pressure cooks and roasts. My husband is amazed that it roasted the potatoes and meat at the same time. Can you tell us how long in total it took cause normally a roast in the oven with potatoes and veg takes about two hours by the time the oven has heated etc? Thanks again
Roast beef looks and probably tastes delicious. How about trying liver and bacon for another winter warmer?❤
I hope you have horseradish with the beef looks so delicious
Yes we did, it was on the worktop Jennifer.
Martin you need a roof rack for your plate 🍽 lol 😊 , I'm the same though plenty of veg an stacks of meat 🍖 😅
😁
Dam you guys, i was going to have chicken and pasta tonight for dinner. Chicken, still half frozen back in the fridge now and frozen beef pulled out. Seeing the gravy poured over was the final straw, and the york puddings
You two are stars !! The food looks delicious , never mind crooked apron , you should cook Sunday roast and sell it !!
Love that baby frank eats normal dinners full of goodness . Don’t mind me asking ? But is he you grandson ? Or your son ? Don’t really know your back story , but he’s the cutest thing . Lovely peeps 🤗❤
Frank is our Grandson Jacqueline.
Hi Martin and Sharon love watching your videos
Hi I have a cosori pressure cooker what setting would I use to cook meat and the potatoes
We'll have to do a video on that Sue.
@@butlersempire that would be very helpful
Lovely yorkies 🇮🇪
Thanks for making me hungry guys 😢
Looks delicious. How long does it take roughly to come up to pressure when you cook in that setting?
It was a lot quicker using hot water
Its not under pressure, its steam roast.
