I've spent the last year diving into the science of training but nothing shocked me more than a cadaver case study that revealed to me the true anatomy of your deltoid muscles. Turns out big boulder shoulders are mostly comprised of the anterior and posterior head, the lateral head is quite small in comparison. In this video, I rank some of my favorite exercises but also give the science behind why they are more effective than some of the more popular but less effective ones that most people do.

don't get me wrong. Ryan knows his stuff. No doubt.
But as many other large real natty fitnes-tuber said. Listening to someone who is on gear can be missleading sometimes. Bc what works for them, doesn't work for natty bodybuilders or your avarage Joe.
He shows real studys, tests them on hits own and even make own assumptions based on facts. Nice! The only downside is, that somebody on gear could pick up a big rock everyday and he will get bigger shoulders (or any other muscel). You (by that I mean every natty) this doesn't work. Even if you follow his guides, you won't ever reach a freaction of what he has.
Just my opinion. Working out for 15 years now, saw a lot of people, bothe on/off and without any gear.
What I am trying to say is, that one should different how and by whom they get information.
      Have a great day :)

@@buck8266 The initial premise of the video makes no sense, big sholders are exactly big lateral delts, he goes on to show the many subregions that make up the delt and the one in the middle is obviously very small if you split the whole muscle into 20 parts, this small part of the muscle is not lifting all the weight during shoulder abduction and you would obviously have the last and the first parts of the anterior and posterior delts contrubute since thier fibres orientation obvously aligns well with the movement. You don't get wilde by trianing rear delts just because the academics define them as 10 times bigger than the middle head and so let's spam rear delts

    • @sshreddderr9409
      @sshreddderr9409 Před 9 hodinami

@@AleksandarBanov-tm9ql you dont get "wider" at all doing shoulder exercises. if you are exercising correctly, you are gaining in volume everywhere equally. if you are narrow, its because of a narrow bone structure, and no amount of training will change that. you will proportionally always look the same, no matter how much muscle you gain.

Hey Ryan, i dont know where i heard this, was a yt video ages ago.
A high lvl strongman was training a bodybuilder on yoke and farmers handles and the like.
One of the simplest biggest ques the strongman gave the bodybuilder was to allways look forward and never tip your chin down onto your chest/look down as it causes the traps to disengage for a large amount, and you need those to work on yoke and farmers.
Whenever i do rear delt movements and certain side lateral movements i have been tipping my chin down onto my chest and i felt a big difference in targeting my rear delts/delts on machine and dumbel work.
Definetly not as masive as you or others are but i do feel a better pump and easier activation on my delts doing that little thing.

@Ryan I noticed at 9:03 while doing the pullovers, you weren't working at an optimal tempo to stimulate hypertrophic results proportional to your efforts. This has me concerned for your cognitive abilities. I recommend you check the back of your skull for another one of those dents. I love you Egg.

*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*

You just can’t develop big huge basketball shoulders without

@@n2lz873 yes, but true boulder shoulders don’t exist naturally.. big shoulders? Yeah course.. I’ve got a afew pals with pretty hefty frames and decent size shoulders.
But true boulder shoulders as seen in most of this sort of content is straight up down to steroids

And this is no hate post, love this channel and its content! Gets me hyped up for the gym myself but it gets pretty boring when next to all creators will list out a load of exercises that will GUARANTEE MASSIVE HUGE MONSTER GAINZ
But should really take the time to atleast tell the naive watchers from time to time that steroids play a massive part in it all.
Got kids growing up these days thinking this size is the norm and easily achievable by just doing certain lifts

I tried hitting my calves hard and heavy 3x/wk and I got plantar fascitis from it! I love to hike and for 2 months, 1 mile was all I could manage. It still flares up after over a yr, from time to time, but wearing a foot compression sleeve means 6-8 mile hill hikes aren't a problem.
