I am SOOOO excited for this book! & I’m interest to see where Mat decides to go from here with his writings. Physic Witch & Mastering Magick seem to be primers, the beginnings, & mechanics. I wonder if he will dive deeper into specific topics in future books. & if he does, I wonder which topics they’d be

That's so weird, I can see I have responded to your other comments, but I only see the 1 about dark goddesses! Sorry about that! The one I always recommend to people is called "Dark Goddess Craft" by Stephanie Woodfield 😊 Hope that helps!!
Although, that book by Stephanie Woodfield is a general overview of many dark goddesses. It really depends on which dark goddess you're interested because there are many more that deep dive into specific goddesses 😊

I have high expectations for this book as well. I WANTED to preorder this book SO badly but I decided to get "Magic in the Ancient Greek World" since I've been wanting this book for 4 or 5 years. It actually arrived today! When I'm done reading Spell Bound I'm going to order this book.

Thank you so very much for the book review. Funds are so very tight, but with the holiday season, my father gave me the gift of getting to pick out a book that I want to get. I'm very much a beginner and was considering Psychic Witch and Mastering Magick because Amazon currently has them as a buy one, get 50% off the second. I had heard that Psychic Witch had practical exercises in it, but I wasn't aware of the exercises in Mastering Magick, nor the fact that there is some help for those that have trouble visualizing. These books sound like the books for me. Thank you again for the review. I very much appreciate it.
If you are a beginner... DEFINITELY get psychic witch! I would probably still recommend that one over Mastering Magick but both are excellent for beginners. There are sooooo many exercises in both that it will take you a while to worth through them all. It's definitely a full course in magick! ❤️

Thank you for this review. I started Psychic Witch but stopped because I need to be in a place to really focus. Anyway, I saw this book on Amazon and have been curious.
Oh yes, definitely invest in it! He really tried to be inclusive to everyone - including people who struggle to focus or who have ADHD. Worth it! 😊
Just ordered this and the Psychic Witch on Amazon after watching this! I also was deep diving in your channel, is this the first ever “Honest Occult book review”? If so I havea book that I’d love you to review that got me to have THAT epiphany that everything just started making sense that didn’t, “Outwitting the Devil” by Napoleon Hill. (Which if you look at the history of the book, he wrote this in 1920 something and the entity he interviews told him he would need to release it years later after he dies for it to make sense. It was published by his foundation in 2011!)

I bought Psychic Witch on your recommendation and started it but it's on hold til I get home from this cruise. I like his writing style and can't wait to get into his exercises. Tarot is my main way of communicating with spirits so I probably NEED this book as well. Lol
Hahaha yes you totally NEED this book 😂😂 I think there was 1-2 tarot exercises if I remember correctly. But the rest of the book is just fantastic! I still really love Psychic Witch though and I think everyone should read both!

Such a awesome book! The cleansing elixir and the purifiy cinnamon spells has become a staple in my practice. The metaphysical concept (hermetics principles, the 3 cauldrons and the 3 worlds is well explain. Some book does reference those with not much explanation, Mat filled the gap. I would have love to got the mat auryn books 25 years ago lol.
As someone with Aphantasia (the inability to visualize) that really wanted to love Psychic Witch, but just couldn't connect with it, I'm very happy to hear that he addressed this in his new book. I was reluctant to read this, as his previous book left me feeling left out. Thank you for the review. I just added this to my cart and look forward to checking it out.

One thing i've seen Wachter talk about is that "visualization" doesn't have to mean literal hallucinating holodeck style. i've seen Jason Miller talk about that as well, and both reference Jan Fries Visual Magick. But it helps to go back over with visualization interpreted as... a vibe, a feeling, other senses, a concept held in mind, and building from there.

Ah, yes! I think the 3 Cauldrons theory is a beautiful way to imagine the different aspects of our beings... With that said, it's not something I personally incorporate into my practice. I tend to look at things as: subconscious, conscious, and supraconscious... But that's probably my background in psychology talking. I think it's a great visual for people to work with!
