I don't know it sounds more mechanical sounding to me, I'm not sold!! I wish the people who do reborns could make some of these features! That would be one awesome doll!!
I have this doll. After awhile her hair will get really fuzzy. The way to cure this is to take a small spray bottle, add a little bit of regular hair conditioner and fill with water and shake well. Spray it on her hair and use a baby comb (NOT THE BRUSH) and comb her hair a bit and it will calm down the mohair.
I don't know if it's just be or if the sounds didn't do it justice but her cooing sounded really strange really mechanical....would be interested to see more of it just breathing and listening to it.

Never thought I'd spend so much but my daughter is super careful with babies and has been wanting a silicon baby doll! This is as close as we will get to a actual Reborn! Well worth the $$
This was my very first Ashton Drake doll. I love her. She is quite lifelike. We have had a lot of fun with her. I also bought a reborn doll a couple of months after buying Sophia and that doll looks very lifelike to the point where she could pass as a baby. I have to say for me I prefer the Ashton Drake Sophia doll.

I am a reborn artists so as lovely as these dolls are they just don't have the realism. I think they are great for kids but there are so many amazing reborn artists out there who are making some really great babies and they are true works of art. They are not just dolls they are works of art.
I'm on SSI so I don't have much to spend and the reborn dolls are to much if someone would take payments on a reborn doll I would get one of those I would want one that acts like a real baby.
Saintcloudnursery I would like to have a reborn but the ones I've found are expensive ($799.00-9,000.00 and must be paid in full and payments are not excepted so by the time I saved the money the doll would be gone) especially if you want a full bodied doll and a lot of scammers are on eBay..I have several friends who've paid and never received a doll from eBay sellers...reborn are definitely more realistic but for some are way out of their price range unfortunately so this is why Ashton Drake and Paradise Galleries sell them so much
My daughter gave me a Sofia baby doll for mothers Day , she is so cute ! I really love her ! She reminds me of my daughter at that age,her hair was a reddish gold like This Sofia’s too !

This review was very helpful. I was on the fence about ordering this baby. She's beautiful, although I'm not crazy about her hair, the hairline to me doesn't look like a newborn's. Also I'm not sure I like the "cooing" sounds. I think I'm going with another baby doll, this review really helped me to make my decision. Thank you!

Maureen Dream .. I have Charlie and he's adorable..yes he's factory produced but has a full body..the hair is wild but I mix half water and half leave in conditioner and spray it then use a baby comb or my fingers to style it and it's worked out fine so far

My question love....I want this day soooooooo bad, but I have read so many BAD reviews I am terrified of getting it. I really can't afford the Reborn dolls but this little Sophia is what I would love to have. And to top it off, that was the name we picked out for a girl...but we can't have any now. I hear the hair falls out and the machine that makes her breathe is very loud and that the heart beat is bad and the cooing sounds like she is sick.......... I'm so nervous I ordered Sophia on Friday, and I paid for 2 days shipping. After paying I received an email saying she would be here on Tuesday, September 13. I have checked the order number multiple times and it keeps telling me she won't ship until December 2? :-( Has anyone else had this problem and receive their doll when they were supposed to? As far as I know she was in stock when I ordered her I'm just really excited to get her and I want to know when I should expect her. rebecca nelson hello hope your well and ok. I have this exact same reborn doll and I absolutely love her. She wears a range of sizes I find that she fits best in anything from tiny baby (6lb) up to 0-3mth at the moment my Sophia is wearing a tiny baby top (6lb) and 0-3mth leggings and newborn jacket (7.5lb). She can fit into tiny baby tights 5-8lb and tiny baby UK 00 socks. I find finding shoes for her a tiny bit hard as some 0-3 month shoes can be a bit on the big side but at moment she wearing newborn shoes. But I don’t tend to put shoes on her all that often. Yesterday my Sophia was wearing a 0-1 month old outfit. But saying that I also had some 3-6mth leggings that fitted her BUT that’s rare. ALSO I WILL SAY when I got her she wasn’t as heavy as I expected I weighed her on my scales and if they was right it said she was about 3lb 11oz. Just thought I’d let you know so you wasn’t too disappointed. Hope all this helps hun. But I love Sophia to bits I love all my reborns. Xx
