Schneider Cine Xenon: One Take

In this video we talk about the Schneider Cine Xenon lenses. A purpose built lens set from the ground up that has basically been forgotten. But they are massively relevant now and you should absolutely be shooting on them!

I worked for Schneider and you nailed it -- Great lenses, especially for the price. The 18mm is so outstanding, it's in a class of its own.

Nice write up. I have three of the six and use them a lot for commercials and docs. For the price, they are really hard to beat and I am amazed more people don't know about them.

We had a set of these in 2016 when I worked with promo production at Disney/ABC in Burbank. At the time, we paired them to a RED Weapon and they were great. I do know that after I left, the team invested in the Amira and I’m sure the image looked even better.

They look phenomenal on the mini LF and the V-Raptor.

The amber flares at around 1:20 - were they using a filter to get that, or do these lenses have an amber flare? (The footage is pretty!)

From my experiance the 35mm is the only one with an amber flare
