Clearly Premier Kinew understands the idea of technology not taxes. He cuts gas prices and he talks about the alternative fuel sources they have invested in. Taxing without easy affordable access to the alternative is torture.

Go Wab! Band together with the other Premiers and really turn up the pressure on Trudeau and Guilbault and their all impoverishing, ineffective, needlessly punishing carbon taxeS.

10 years of Carbon Taxes, and wildfires getting worse every year. Is this because I'm not taxed enough or because the carbon tax is ineffective?

Billions of dollars collected and no evidence that the carbon tax has prevented a single fire. I guess that means we need to increase it to make it work.

Once it gets to 61 cents then the fires will stop overnight 😂

Your parents never taught you delayed gratification? Yes, we've had the carbon tax for a while. We've also been INCREASING carbon output in that same time. So things have gotten worse, not better, because the market based approach hasn't gotten to the point where companies need to change tactics in order to stop losing money.

@@Arkhanno delayed gratification huh? That’s classic. As in never. But my parents also taught me not to believe a govt that claims they can reduce emissions by massively increasing the population of the country. Just in case you’re wondering how on earth our emissions could still be rising.

The Carbon tax has to permanently disappear. Right now the bandaid fix is to remove the Manitoba Provincial sales tax on fuel of 14 cents. However, this has a financial impact to the province of Manitoba. Costs the province around 400 million dollars in lost tax revenue.

35 billion in public tax revenue to ship offshore via the " trans" Canada pipeline. Costs the " province" too, whoever the province is. Looting of public coffers for private profits.

News flash. Even though I support Conservatives on the Federal level, Manitoba has always done better, in my opinion under a NDP provincial government. The Liberals are non-party in Manitoba. It has always been a choice between the NDP and Conservatives here.

Trudeau really needs the funds for housing..
Conservative MP Lianne Rood asked the government last week what “goods and services” are being provided to asylum seekers in Canada without approved applications.
Rood published the document containing the response, where the federal government stated that unapproved immigrants receive “$140 per night per room” and roughly “$84 per day” for food, totaling $224 per day per claiman
