I think, for me at least, the pressure to eventually set an example as a woman is turned off for our sons so it's easier to focus on just loving them so that they just know how they ought to receive love from people, but especially a woman in the future. And my husband is the same with our daughter...he doesn't feel like one day he has to teach her the ways of being a man so all he needs to focus on throughout her life is showering her with love and adoration. So that she just knows how to be loved by others and especially by a man one day. All this said, we both want to cherish and appreciate and love both of our kids and any future kids, even though this slight dynamic exists.
