Awesome video. I saw your XJR at Cars and Coffee one time but I couldn’t find you lol. But I’m really impressed because these cars can be reliable if you know how to maintain and take good care of them otherwise just say bye bye to them.

I have a '98 XJR I've owned for nearly 17 years now. I have to say, I've had quite similar experiences on longer trips, usually 400-500 miles and one of about 1000. I had similar mileage, and with some effort, I got it up to 21mpg average before laying into the throttle some more and dropping into the teens again. I've never had any fluid leaks. But I've had enough small issues that I still have a bit of anxiety when I'm on the road. But I love driving it and people love seeing it!

XJR´s where build for long distance traveling. Thanks to Ford, Jaguar was saved in the nick of time and they did a great job.
Here in Germany we have 45 million cars on the road and only 397 Jaguar XJR / X308 are still registered. That's nothing!

I have an 01xjr. It’s nice to see content from others who appreciate this car.
Btw you are missing the shift lock button cover to the upper left of your shifter on the shifter bezel area. It’s like a plug you screw into the hole. I love the green color. Just out of curiosity, what are your rpms at 80? Is your rear shelf speaker “sub” working in yours?

Thanks. I noticed, the assembly is cracked and needs to be replaced.

Drove one years ago, decided to buy a 2003 in the next couple of months. Thx. for affirming that these cars are actually daily-drivable, reliable, dependable… and not outrageous to maintain.

Hey man, how's the heating seats on this? Are they any powerful? I'm looking around and I have three specifications - 1. Black interior. 2. Cruise control. 3. Heated seats. I've seen a minuted one, but it's a 1997 XJR which means it doesn't have 1 or 2. As for the seats, I can respray down the line.

Tire plug kit should be in every car.

Hello, would anyone know a source for high quality replacement parts for the rear suspension (control arms and tie rods) on a 2004 XJR?

GREAT job buddy. I want to do this to my 98 XJR but I do not trust it.. We are friends on Facebook and I have a Jag car channel here too.
