As a Canadian I’m thoroughly stoked for this.
Stoked but frankly a very east coast box, with a lot of coast to coast snacks I don’t know why they still exist lol.
As a fellow Canadian and a food reviewer myself I was also very excited for this !!!
Suddenly realizing is east coasters love our vintage "old people" snacks lol
Me too!
@@cyrvanessa they definitely got New Brunswick's old people candy. I strictly came here for the chips.
Somebody needs to send these guys a box of quality street or celebrations or something.....
I was thinking round tree fruit pastels for the blackcurrant!
So many better Canadian treats than these!!!
@@kaytejohn6679 yesss!!!!
@@lorenadunne4199 I believe you. My auntie stayed in Canada n when she visited she brought us sweets they were so nice xx
Quality Street is British
This Canadian has never seen half of this stuff.
I was thinking the same ahaha
As a Canadian and a food reviewer myself , neither have I !!! LOL
I was vary confused about molasses on bread
Mostly eastern Canada stuff 🇨🇦other parts of Canada exist lol
Same xD
You guys crack me up, I am a Canadian from the western side of the country. I should make you a goodie box.
Please do!
As a British Columbian, I just want to point out we have no control over the oddities that emerge from the other half of the province! 😂 I've never heard of half these things! You didn't get a Canadian box, you got a Maritime box!
From PEI I don't eat half of those and lot of them I have never heard of!
Says in the beginning of the video that these are really only known to New Brunswick.
Yes exactly.
I'm from Nova Scotia and my sister lives in New Brunswick and I didn't hear of some of the things and everything thing she picked was gross! 🤢 Except the crunchie bar.
Yes! Hello fellow British Columbian
Yes as a Canadian from Ontario Canada never seen most of these
I’m Nova Scotian and don’t recognize some of these
I’m from Ontario and thought the same thing
Came here to say this lol, and personally I think I've only had the crunchy bar and they're nasty 🤣
Well and the cherry blossom but I don't like those either
AGREED?! Where da hell in Canada are they?!🤔
Pei and same
The way Jess pronounced Jujubes lol 😂
I was like "what the heck are jujubees... oh wait. LOL"
I went to Canada in 2019 and their snacks are so good
Ketchup chips are sooooo good
As a Paige from New Brunswick who wasn't the Paige who sent this I was very confused and amused lol
This video must've been quiet a PAGE turner for you :)
You’re not the only one! 😂😂
Crunchie was first made in England in 1929 by Fry and Sons
Looks like it was a sponge candy .
@@kellymullen8265 I believe it’s honeycomb
We have them in New Zealand as well
I’m from Québec and we do make maple syrup whisky. It’s called Sortilège. There is also Coureur des bois. Just though I would tell you guys 😊
I was gifted maple whiskey from Quebec a few years ago. So good! Made an awesome roasted chicken.
Omg I just made the same comment. I'm from the states and the moment the borders opened back up I made a weekend trip just to get a few bottles. I had not had it since 2018. Sortilege is the best 👌 👍
I’m in Illinois we get whiskey pancake syrup. And whiskey here has numerous flavors; honey, cherries, apple, peach, cinnamon, salted caramel, peanut butter. And more, some are good but some 😝
“The shnoz berry tastes like shnoz berry” I’m still dying!! 🤣
You literally got all the gross things that are always still on the shelves 🤣
Exactly!
I'm from Ontario, and when I heard Delecto I thought, "eww they got the crappy chocolate from a dollar store!".
@@susanwilson8995 Dang
Delecto aren't that bad.....
@@susanwilson8995 delecto is 10 dollars a box. Its not 2.50. Never seen it at a dollar store🙄
Laughed way too hard at the Dulce reaction 😂😂 It really is something you either love or hate.
Also, the way y'all pronounced jujubes was funny (ju-joobs, not ju-ju-bees)
I was so confused when they said 'juju-bees' then I remembered Avatar when that a-hole military guy mentioned that everything out on Pandora wanted to "eat [their] eyes like jujubies"... So an American pronunciation maybe?
Ha ha we call them joob joobs !
Teehee
This is an incredibly Eastern Canada selection. I have actually only ever seen a few of these. Eat more, cherry blossom and crunchie. Eat more and cherry blossom are old people candy here! I enjoyed your reactions though and know what to watch out for when heading East!
Crunchie yes have not seen eat more
They said at the beginning that this is mostly stuff from NB and Maritimes
@@andrea-rq1fe only NB ahah I think the others maritimes provinces are as lost as the others
@@supermiku01 true...I'm from NB so wasn't sure if some of it might be in other maritime provinces. This was very much an old school NB selection too
Crunchies are not exclusively Canadian. We have Them in South Africa as well and I love it.
I’m actually from Saint John New Brunswick so seeing your reactions to all this stuff I’m used to seeing on the shelves is too funny and a lot of the ganong candies are liked by older people but almost nobody else eats them, don’t judge all of Canada for the maritimes weird choices trust me even we are confused why some of this stuff is still being made 😂
It's a good start to a morning when u get notifications for Men Try, Ladies & Lattes, & Austin & Jess one right after the other! Love u guys! 💓
I am french canadian and that first video you've test canadian snack was HILARIOUS ! !! Loved it ! !😄☺
"Chicken Bones" are an East Coast candy, usually only available at Christmas. It is a long pink cinnamon hard candy with a chocolate cream in the middle. Was happy to see an Eastern Canada selection this time - we have some very unique treats! Also, never heard them called "joo-joo-bees".... we call them "joo-joobs"
love those! christmas time, I search everywhere for them xD
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm from Ontario Canada. Thanks for the laughs guys. Try letting the chicken bones melt in your mouth rather than crunching them.
I was confused what joo job bees were until I saw the spelling, and then I was like ooooo Joo Joobs!
Not only found at Christmas! Ns here and we find them all the time in stores.
I am from Saskatchewan . My great Grandma ‘s favourite candy was chicken bones
Appreciate anyone who takes time to do the time stamps
🤣
Maple fudge is great! As a canadian from ontario, I have only heard of the Crunchie, eat more, ketchup chips and molasses!
There are so many maple flavoured things in tourist shops too!
Only of my favorites is a thicker maple syrup which you pour over ice and use a stick to twirl it up, so yummy!
I couldn't stop laughing from the way you pronounced black curRant😂 think of it like the "current" of water❤️
😂😂😂
As a Canadian this was hilarious to watch ❤️🇨🇦 The Crunch bar has to be one of my favourite things on this list. Love your videos! You always make me laugh ❤️
It was a crunchie bar. Crunch bars aren't that good. 😂
Crunchies are British haha does not belong in a Canadian box
@@mandimoo87 exactly what I was going to say
"swiss chocolate" proceeds to show a danish flag 1:54
I'm from Canada as well and have NEVER seen most of these! The few that I did recognize are the grossest candies! I almost feel like someone's playing a prank on you! 😂
I agree 100%. This was a prank.
I love these videos. I found your videos in the beginning of 2020. I have binged watched all the videos ever since :)
Wahoo albertan over here! And yes haven't tried or heard of alot of these. Canada is a bomb place to live!
As a Canadian I've never tried molasses on toast. I didn't even know it was a thing.
And after seeing their reaction to it, it's not happening.
So thank you for saving me
As a Canadian in quebec province, I have never some of these lol I need to make my way to the Atlantic provinces 🤤
Literally same. Being from Ontario I’ve had some of these, but not most of them
Pareil! 😂
As a Canadian from Ontario, I love watching you eat whatever food boxes we send to you. I love Dulce, Crunchies, Eat-Mores and Cherry Blossoms but the other things I haven't seen before. I just finished watching this for a second (maybe third) time and I'm still laughing! Love your videos on all of your channels :)
We sell Frank's chips in Canadian Tire!!! The bacon maple one included... not sure if all Canadian Tires sell them thougj
@@SnowxXxAngel I will have to check it out the next time I'm in there. Thanks
As a Canadian loved this video. Sorry boys EatMore’s are delicious 😋 one of my faves
I agree with you about EAT MORE !!! Is there dark chocolate in it ??
Mine too, I love those things!!!
@@SnowxXxAngel I love them too !!! Im a food reviewer on CZcams as well and have tried EAT MORE several times , but Im still not sure , is there dark chocolate in it ??
@@FoodTastertv I think so, if I remember right it's a dark chocolate nougat/fudge thing... with peanuts...
@@SnowxXxAngel All I remember is that its delicious !!!!
I’ve got Ganong chocolates while Crunchies and Cherry Blossoms are very common in Quebec. I also enjoy buckwheat pancakes with molasses.
The chip flavor you were looking for is All-Dressed. But you did get a very Atlantic provinces centered snacks.
As a Brit I have never heard of a crunchie being described as a sponge toffee, it’s always been honeycomb 😂😂😂 also fudge isn’t traditionally chocolate I don’t think so the inside was fudge and it was chocolate coated I believe not 100% certain x❤️❤️
It's cinder toffee, I don't know when that because honeycomb and don't know what people called actually honeycomb these days.
PAL O MINE is a very tasty bar !!!
Defo agree, it’s honeycomb. If a sponge was crunchy it’s normally gone off
We hound send them a box from the UK, lol
We have a Crunchie in South Africa. It's literally my FAVORITE CHOCOLATE. 😁😁
I just found your all’s channel 2 weeks ago and I am addicted I just love you guys your personalities are awesome this has become my number one channel thank you for making me laugh.. I think I’ve watched almost every video I’m binge watching hahaha
Canadian girl from New-Brunswick, Canada as well!
May I suggest you put a few chicken bones in your hot chocolate and let them melt! They're SO GOOD!
As someone from New Brunswick this was very enjoyable to watch!! And some of the thing you don’t like are my favourite things to eat!!!
Ontario girl here....so glad I watched! Now I know to bring my own snacks to the east coast! Lol You want to try Smokey Bacon chips...not Maple Bacon...huge difference!
Most maritimers don't like this stuff either. Only old people eat most of that because its gross.
Omg I laughed so hard at the toast tasting.😆😂
"I don't like chewing these." I'm with you Cam, I hate gummy things for that reason.
FINALLY some snack representation from the East Coast🇨🇦
As a Canadian, this makes me laugh! The expression on your faces looking at the Eat-More, freaking priceless!!
It is a more East Coaster package, but I found they have some of the most unique snacks from my short time out in Newfoundland.
Here in Ontario you can find most of what you tasted, but some are just so uniquely East Coster.
Side note for the Maple Syrup and Jacks idea.
I'm a cook, and have made "Jacked up Syrup".
Mix 25% JD with 75% Maple Syrup. Just keep it away from the kiddos mmk haha
When they got to the seaweed.......Cam pulled a face I died laughing 😂 💀.....but then he tells Austin...I came back to live just to cry full a tear, was slapping the bed like a happy seal....barely breathing and died all over ☠️ 😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏👏 you guys never fail. Stay safe
Cam tasting the molasses..."It tastes like boiled tree bark." So funny! And poor Austin! I don't think I would like it either. Love and hugs from Norway!
Love all your videos and I always smile watching them makes my day better 💕
hey girllll! i’m from NB too! so stoked to hear NB finally get a shout out!
As a Canadian this was so fun to watch, love watching your videos
As a Canadian and a food reviewer myself I also loved this video LOL Too bad they didnt like most of the snacks !!!
Omg you guys once again you made me laugh so much and this made my Day for sure 🤩😂 i could not stop laughing when you guys tried seaside dulse 😆 that face the both of you made when you guys try it 😂😜 i would not like it so i am right beside you 😆
As a Canadian I haven’t seen most of those before. Must mostly be from the Atlantic Provinces
I recently found y’all and started watching. I have laughed so hard I have cried, peed my pants and my ribs and cheeks hurt so bad. Thank you for the laughs. Y’all are great.
Cam- ‘tastes like boiled tree bark’ 😂😂
Maple syrup is exactly that! Molasses is what sugar comes from.
@@b.bennett3 well not technically bark, it's sap
I've been Canadian my entire life and have never heard of Chicken Bones or Ganong Delecto Chocolates. This is an extremely east-coast selection.
Ganong is actually Canada's oldest Chocolate company! They're worth a try! And if you ever make it to the Atlantic...definitely head out to St. Stephen to check out their museum/factory :)
As a person from Saint John, New Brunswick most of these things are only found in Atlantic Canada. Ganong chocolate is amazing. I prefer Ganong over other chocolate. I HATE dulse but my dads dad's family LOVE it! Molasses is definitely an acquired taste. It is better mixed with butter in toast. Also chicken bones are made that way to resemble actual bones. The hard cinnamon outside is the 'bone's and the chocolate in the middle is the 'marrow'. My family LOVES them!
I am allergic and have not eaten chocolate, sweets and cake for 4 years.
The only thing I can tolerate is salted licorice (but I'm from Denmark so I love it😋)
So it's really nice to see others enjoy it. And even better that it's 2 of my favorite youtubers. 🤗
The dulce reaction was priceless haha i had to play it again 😂
As someone from western New York about 10 min from the Canadian boarder, I’ve had some of these. And my horses get molasses feed in the winter and it’s always smelled so good to me 😂
😂😂 seeing their reactions is priceless. Especially with the seaweed 🤣
Yay, NB rarely ever gets mentioned in these things! Thank you, Paige! It's not Christmas without chicken bones. We usually make baked beans or gingerbread cookies with molasses. Dulse tastes just like bacon when you fry it. There won't be anymore Covered Bridge chips, the factory burned down. Ruffles makes the best bacon flavoured chips: Sour cream and bacon. 😋 Thanks for the reaction guys!
Growing up we always bought the chicken bones candy at Christmas time. My dad loved them.
Lmao!!! Austin's reactions are HILARIOUS!! Anytime he REALLY does NOT like something, his face reminds me of the Mr. Yuck stickers youd get in elementary school. Lmao!
Didnt even get through the first 4 mins without giggling ❤ #atlanticcanada Thanks for a fun episode paige from NB
I loved that first video..and I'm Canadian. I love you guys!
I knew the snazzberries taste like snazzberries sentence was coming out of Cam’s mouth! Molasses is in brown sugar. Costco had fried pickle chips, they also had fried pickle dip, the dip was actually good.
Another awesome video :)
“Fudge” for me does not make me think chocolate, it makes me think of sucre à la crème. Chocolate fudge is a flavoured fudge, if that makes sense. Just like maple fudge is a flavoured fudge.
Also, I about died when I saw both the Eat More and the dulse. Both are… something. Lol 😂
Thank you for giving us Canadians a good laugh 😂 😂
I love sweet Marie candy bars I actually had them as wedding favors after my Canadian wedding when we had our reception in the US.
I’m Canadian and excited for this 😀
I'm Nikisha and also from New Brunswick Canada and I also loved the first Canada video! Love you guys and also fellow your other channels!
As a Canadian viewer I have been waiting for this video.
As a Canadian from Vancouver I've never ate molasses on toast nor tried many of what you just ate 😅😅☠️ this was great, but you need an updated Canadian food box 🥰
I'm from New Brunswick, and it was great to see this video! So many of these treats are very iconic New Brunswick, but like others have said, they are often enjoyed by the older generations. I think the majority of the population choose other snacks. I love Crunchie bars, and OMG, I think if you gave dulse another try, you'd like it. It's exactly like you described - salted sticky paper - but once you chew it it breaks down and it's sooo good.
HAHAHA omg you got me rolling on the seaweed stuff camron says put it in your mouth, Austin face hahahaha
As a New-Brunswicker myself I’m so happy to see this hahaha 😂❤️
Watching this from Nova Scotia-Canada🇨🇦 loved this video 😂😂
I DIDNT WATCH YET BUT IM JUST SEEING THIS AND IM SO EXCITED I CANT WAIT
Growing up in New Brunswick, I use to eat Dulse for 10 cents a bag. Now it is more like $6 for a small bag. Have you ever had gingerbread cookies, then you've had Molasses. Eating it on toast is an east coast thing. Chicken bones only came out at x-mas and Eat More are the best. Seeing all those snacks brought back memories.
The faces you made when trying the seaside dulse is so funny
I'm from New Brunswick and know all of these! Molasses to me is amazing on bread or biscuits with peanut butter! Also fudge can come in many different flavors not just chocolate. Brown sugar, peanut butter and more
Molasses on bread is fantastic!
I have never heard of most of those candies but love those crunch bars
That's so neat to have an Eastern Canadian box. I'm from Alberta, so I haven't seen most of these items. I love the faces you pulled!
As a Canadian from Ontario, I haven't heard of some of these but growing up I have had the Crunchie bar and I have definitely had the Covered Bridge chips since I lived in Saint John, New Brunswick years ago! The treat box was more like an Atlantic Canada treat box. Nonetheless it was awesome seeing you's trying some Canadian goodies! Much love! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🍁🍁🍁🍁
Covered Bridge Chips are from my Town!!! So cool to see you guys try them :)
Cherrybombs... YUCK! Also, so sad you guys didnt enjoy the EatMore. I crave those sometimes! 🥲🤤 Shout out from Saskatchewan Canada! 💕
My favorite chips are Ruffles sour cream and bacon. Although I love the classic lays flavors- barbecue, dill pickle, and ketchup
Yay I'm also from New Brunswick, Canada. Enjoy these treats 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Dulse is my favorite. Use to pick it off the beach dry it and eat it. Loved it since I was a kid. It also good for low iron. Better than taking iron pills. It's delicious but it is a acquired taste, my dad loves it my mom hates it
I agree with Austin’s reaction to the molasses.
I'm in the prairies and this is totally east coast, you are talking about fishing communities sending you snacks...I'm glad you got to try some new things but ...yeah I'd not be wanting to eat those snacks either! Salutations from Manitoba!
I absolutely love having Black Strap Molasses on buttered toast!!
Lol y'all are killin it. Oh I love gum drops. Then again I am old. 🤣🤣🤣❤❤👍😊
Just tried a Palo-mine this past summer and it was the best chocolate from east canada stocked up before going home
Hahaha I fully enjoyed watching this. I am from Ontario,Canada and you're gonna think I'm crazy but Eatmore is my fave!!!
As kids in the south we used to take a pat of butter and add molasses. Mix it together then put it on biscuits or toast.
Montrealer here.. the only one of these snacks I really recognized was the Cherry Blossom.. I like those and was happy to see you found them one of the better snacks.. I didn’t recognize the rest except maybe the Crunchie which if it’s what I think it is I don’t really like all that much. Loved your reactions.. was laughing most of the way through. 😂
"I just got upper cut by a maple tree" I snorted laughing
I personally would love to see candy in a separate video than normal food and snacks, but I’m not a candy guy. It’s just more fun watching them eat odd snacks
Bought some Canadian treats after watching this video! Cant wait to taste these for myself!! :D
I’m from Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
Most of us don’t use cheese curds because of the melting factor. The cheese curds don’t melt and they stay a weird texture that I don’t like and cheese curds taste like chewing on rubber and they aren’t salty enough. There’s places that put shredded mozzarella on it. Even in the stores, they don’t use cheese curds and neither do I.
We have donair poutine which is really good. If somethings too rich, we’ll add ketchup to the corner. It brings out different flavours profiles. Never forget pepper and they give us vinegar too when we order them from the restaurants and we do eat them as a meal, it’s really cheap and you could feed like 3 people with a large poutine. I only put the condiments in the corner because I don’t want my whole poutine to taste like that. The ketchup and stuff in corner, it’s nice not have the whole poutine being sour from the condiments. You can pick choose. Honestly the biggest poutine I’ve ever seen was from Costco but it wasn’t good at all. The donairs places make the best poutine here. I also love the KFC and A&W poutines. I love the way kfc fries taste, my other favourite is the curly fries from Arby’s. The fully loaded ones are amazing and cheap, it has sour cream, grated cheese, bacon bits and green onions. For that price, it’s a pretty good bargain. I found that you can eat the curly fries and they still maintain the shape. I don’t like fries because of how they get really soggy the next day but curly fries are crispy and you can put old fries in the oven to reheat, instead of using the microwave. That’s my tip.
From a homesick Canadian thanks for the video😀
