I need to find a 4bt, would love to put one in my 77 Ford F-250.
Might as well go 6bt
I'd build a performance 4bt and put it in a miniature dually S10. I bet it would do good in an S10
might be a bit heavy for an s10, I would go with dodge dakota/mid sized truck at the minimum.
I understand this is an older video, you all offer a 140hp 4BT currently (June 2024). What would that 140hp motor need to get the 170hp that the dyno shop out of this one? And this would be fine in a E4OD powered truck correct?
What gear ratio is in the axles ? Thanks for the update. Very interested in seeing more
Please post more videos about this setup! I have a 93 f150 xlt 5.8 e40d 4x4. I have some questions regarding the auto trans.. Have you had anyone run into problems with the auto trans with the setup you have in this video? Im looking to get better mpg and similar torque and horsepower overall but more is better
Very nice 👍
Have a 72 bronco that I put a 4bt in the turbo I located in the upper Position dose that make a deference if I were to do the same mods you did?
If yall don't mind me asking how did yall get it to work with the computer
What size exhaust housing does that garrett have?
does the Mazda transmission hold up? i was looking at nv4500 or 4l60e. I wanna swap a 4bt in old ranger or a tacoma not sure with the axles will hold up. Im currently saving $$ for a mechanic school so i can learn more. Thank you and awesome truck.
We put more than 30K miles on it, and so far it's still working great. No way I'd put a 4BT in anything smaller (Ranger, Taco, etc). 850lbs. of 4BT up front is just too much for stock stuff. I have an 85 Toyota that i used an 04 TDI. Makes more power than the 4BT does with some pretty easy performance mods. And cheaper to get these days than a 4BT.
Should have used the p pump, yeah they cost like $1000 more but when it comes to making hp the ve doesnt even come close
It's the p7100 injectors your talking about yeah
So he could’ve just added it?
Do you have a adapter for a 4r70w? 02 f150
Para un jeep wrangler el 4bt turbo diesel queda bien. O es mejor el 6bt que opinas cuanto sería el consumo diario en carretera abierta
what you spent in tuning you could have a bought a p pump and been way ahead
What do you guys think of using the E4OD instead of the manual?
We don't have any trouble with them (and we do use them for customer vehicles), but most guys here are just more likely to run a manual trans whenever possible.
I thought it was 5x12 injectors and that be pump can put a lot more fuel than it is right now!!!! ????
How did you hook up the tach
For this one we used a three pulse tone ring mounted on the front of the engine and sensor from a 6.0.
Theres also universal diesel tachs that hook up to you alternator to get the rpms.
Should have done 6bt for the size of that pickup 4bt to small
Hmm. it made nearly 450lbs. of torque at the wheels. seems to move it around just fine.
6bt will not 30 mpg....
F150 front end won't hold a 6bt up for very long. Also the 150 is lighter than 3/4 or 1 ton
