📌 I'm Uruguayan here, I'm glad you liked my country, thanks for making a video about it cheers!!
"I thought all of south america was kinda like México"😂 it always happens bro, we are used to things like that and to see European tourists coming on winter barely with clothes thinking that they are in the tropical SA. No problem now you know it. Peace!
It's the way he pronounced Alfajor for me... Lol
alfa jors are my favorite jors.

Im a uruguayan anomaly. I was born in the US but lived my life on Uruguay. And boy am i glad i did. Uruguay is... just... amazing.
I’m from Uruguay and lot of people know what a taco is but they’ve never had it
They know now. Before globalization (AKA internet), no one in Uy knew what a mexican taco or tortilla were.
They do know, because of TV,...nothing else, and to be sincerely, we do not need it.
Uruguay ? It's Cisplatina , our province.

Uruguay is the best country !!! Its very quiet and beautifull !!!
"Black beans" is what we call "Poroto". With rice is delicious.
PD: Sorry for bad english.
Yours English is good Javier👍
Sorry english is great....
We all love milanesas! It is yet another food brought by the Italians. The name translates to "Milanese" (from the city of Milan) and it's a fairly common food in the Alpine region, maybe in North American culture you're probably used to its German name, Schnitzel.
Flat out I love that tiny country and modestly I’ve been there 7 times , and knew 14 of 19 departments. The worst part it’s comparing all the stuff with Mexican ...
Wow! I was also born in Uruguay and haven’t visited more than 6 or 7 departments. I promise to change that!
I agree with you, never compare that part of South America with Mexico!
Uruguayans are probably nicer than Mexicans too. Mexicans are entitled and like to act tough.
White Americans think all of Latin America is Mexico... Nevermind the fact that Uruguay and Mexico are on 2 different continents 🙄
La Milanesa! Y el Alfajor!! Que grande! 😂
Uruguay is for meat and wine lovers

beautiful Uruguay
Very nice guy. Castellano (Castilian) is actually not a Uruguayan dialect. There are multiple regional languages in Spain, such as Catalan, Vasco, Gallego and Castellano. When Castilla became the dominant power in Spain, their language became the official language of Spain, so for most of the world Castellano is known as Spanish.
True, but you’re making it too complicated. The guy is just trying to give a simple, easy to understand explanation to why / how our Spanish is different from the kind of Spanish people in the USA usually hear
I appreciate it. It's not too complicated for my brain.
@@gaa389 Thanks
The local dialect derived from castellano - es rioplatense - on both shores of Rio de la Plata
Muchas gracias hermano ! Thanks brother ! Greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾
This guy looks straight outta 1980s high school yearbook
I am from Uruguay and i love every single food there
Food, dialect, and safety.. ok well, I came for banking, taxes, property ownership, vehicle ownership/rental, cost of living, visas, residencies, citizenship. Moving along then.
Hi, what type of business or service need do they have?
Well, we´re very concern about food here and that says a lot about Uruguay. If u care about food then u care about family and friends. If you have the right friendships and keep your family together then you will also do well in business. If you do well then why to worry about costs, ownerships, vehicles, taxes and so on? See? First F.O.O.D.: Family Over Other Duties.
Uruguayan here, a pretty honest review and a show of good understanding. Loved the Alfajor's description... even I find it hard to explain it sometimes!
I'd also like to add the word "Vamos!" used as a "Let's go!" when something goes nicely (To pump us up!), we tend to cut the last "S" so it ends up as "Vamo'!"... Also "Vamo' arriba" it's pretty common too.
As for usage, "Vamo' arriba La Celeste" is a common saying for cheering our local soccer team :)
Love Uruguay 💋❤️ nice video
Your Spanish is very good 👍🏼💕
Thank you for this video and welcome to Uruguay when you wish! If you are looking for more info about Uruguay in the playlist of my channel you will find it !

That’s right, I didn’t know what taco was until I came to the US 😝Love them now! 😋😋😋 And the “este” word, nice point too 👍.

Merci bcp soeurs ,we love u too
Heard its like Greece, but in Latin America... Dno if its true but Id like to visit sometime...
99 percent of the people have European genetics
Thanks welcome always to Uruguay
Though good pronunciation of the ll but catellano is spoken in castilla and not here
Pollo (chicken): Mexico: "poio", Uruguay/Argentina: "posho"
Poyo.
poyo
The "sh" sound for "y" or "ll" is not a Castilian thing; that's a purely Argentine/Uruguayan thing. That is not how things are pronounced in Castilla Leon, Spain.
Gringo doesn’t know any better. He probably thinks the official language is Spanish and Castellano is the dialect
Riverplating castillian.
Exactly, el acento rioplatense.
Great video
"no somos latinos, yo me crié acá en la Suiza del sur" 😉
Yo me crié en Uruguay 🇺🇾 un país latinoamericano que no se parece en nada a Suiza 🇨🇭.

The truth is....the food is really great
A milanesa with ham and mozzarella (and a marinara style sauce)is call Napolitan Milanesa, (milanesa a la napolitana) there's a difference between the 2, and NO, we don't eat a lot of black beans.. seems like you never been to Mexico or Colombia or Brazil or Guatemala... Uruguay is the Latin country that consume less beans.
Milanesa it's schnitzel bro it's a german/italian food
I’m moving to Uruguay within the next 2 months.
Did you move?...And if you did how do you feel there?...I'm planning to move there....
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 "esteeeeeh"...
Castellano is spoken in Argentina too
We all know what a taco is. 😂
Sabemos lo que es, hay restaurantes que los venden pero no es muy popular, es un tanto exótico.
Yup
Very similar to Argentinian food and culture
Quién gana?
Uruguay vs USA.
Uruguay obvio man
Yeah I don’t think we eat rice and black beans
Alphahor; 💪 you can have your cookie and your pie (cake) and eat it to.
Wow! AlphaHorses 😱

Dude, Castellano is how the Spanish language is known, it's not a dialect
@@m.f.b7144 Qe bueno ! gracias.!!
This is the tip of the iceberg.
should of said este instead of uhm at the end
Milanesa : schnitzel
Omfg the way he pronounces milanesas has me dead☠️☠️☠️
Uruguay = URU o UY
