Let this be Nick's first CZcams project let him take complete control and decide how the car ends up
That’s a great idea!
I agree that would be a great idea!
Yes , let nick decide
Let Nick decide the color. The Crown Vic is like driving a couch on wheels. Very comfortable
1992 Hawaiian ( purple) chevy camaro color! That'd be cool along with trim and badge delete....
Not like a Lincoln tho
I have had about 8 Crown Vics and Grand Marquis over the years, and when they get some miles on them, I always either clean or change the MAF, change the idle air control valve, clean or change the EGR valve. These three things typically tend to be the biggest contributors to sputtering, rough running, etc. Of course plugs and wires or coils, depending on what it has. I think maybe 99 or 2000 they changed to coils. Excellent vehicle, a breeze to work on! Great score for the money. You will sell it in no time if you decide to not keep it.
No, they went to coil on plugs in 98... 92-97 had the coil packs with ignition wires.
@@philipthomas6808 Yep you're right....I forgot. Last one I had of that gen was a 97 then skipped to a 2000. Easy stuff to work on nonetheless!
Don't forget the fuel filter! 👍
I'm thinking a nice dark blue metallic would look good on that car. But certainly OK with letting Nick choose.
CHEERS! 🇱🇷
I bet your 100% right
That would have been my first suspect. Seems everyone forgets about fuel filters.
First words out of my mouth was fuel filter.
Agreed
Yes on letting Nick decide. It’s nice that he’s back with you. I’m certain that there is much you can teach him about these cars and life in general.😊
I just bought my first car from Copart. 1997 Acura integra with only 128,338 miles . For $700 I’ve got $1300 in it and she’s a solid runner. What a steal car is in excellent condition inside n out.
Police Package aero Vic with working AC for $1100 bucks…wow that’s a deal. You should clean it up, sort it out mechanically and keep it all stock/original…those are hard to find. Check your fuel pressure and change the fuel filter…nice score Randy.
Randy, the harder you work the luckier you get.
Greetings from Mexico City 🇲🇽
Arriva iztacalco,tlacotal:)
The Ford Crown Vic was one of the best cars ever made.
Brother I agree 100-%
👍
I agree , especially the ones built in Canada .
Yes sir
Police Interceptor is worth investigating and saving starting with the basics - good fuel, new fuel filter etc. Sweet deal!
Yes I'd like to see Nick pick the color. And I saw it already got a new intake manifold so don't worry about that Shoutout from Houston, Texas
Tune up will probably solve your problems of get up and go. It needs nothing Randy tune up and it's golden.
Let Nick do it! Such an awesome idea, I’m sure he will love that!
Yes, great idea for Nick to get involved. It’s great to have him back. I think he likes working with you. He should pick color or even choose to wrap it.
Love your channel and your adventures.
That's a dang clean old Crown Vic! Best car ever made.
Don't forget fuel filter when getting the tuneup stuff. I have a 03 and bought it 2 years ago. Went to replace filter and it was the original one!! Car runs perfect after I replaced it.
Asking us if Nick should pick the color is like asking us if water is wet...... Of Course!!!!! Come on man, you knew we'd say that and I am sure you were already planning to do it. I'm glad you're getting Nick into fixing up the car's, too. It's a great father/son bonding experience and will most certainly be an experience that will shape his adulthood. You're awesome for doing that!
I’ve had 3 Crown Vics and I miss have one. They are awesome cars and can take a beating. These things are bulletproof. Let Nick pick the color! Think it would make for some good content!
I see it got a newer intake manifold already, so you don't have to worry about that part
No Ranndy ,these car are monster's, very very dependable, I had one, drove it for years 97 vic exactly like that one, it was a former cop car, you bought a hell of a car, glad you bought it
Leave the way it is, just add tint windows and the tune up.
Long live the Panthers‼️
Shoutout from Waycross, Georgia
Wow a clean aero Vic, what a beauty. Don’t see many of those in good condition like that. Shes a gem and i can’t wait to see her get all fixed up
Randy u have a winner nothings wrong so far
man you picked up a great deal, being a Cop Car it was regularly maintained, I wonder did they keep the heavy duty police package with this car, I would paint it blue, what I love about these big cars is their drive, perfect long highway driving car, you can still get around 22 MPG on the highway
Nice pick Randy; I think that might be the best Panther car yet you have found!
Hi Mr Shear, definitely YES!!!Let Nick choose the color, his choice will be GREAT!!LCongratulations on winning this car, I had a feeling this WIIL be your car the day I saw it at Copart in that video, and here it is, thank you for all you and your families great work on this channel, ALL the Best, God Bless you and your family.
I love those old crown vics. You got a great deal on it. Let Nick choose the color. I think it would be fun.
Great Score Randy!! That's got to be a fun daily driver. We have had 2 Crown Vic's and put a large amount of miles on them. When ours got like that it was a tune up and she was right back to her old self!
i do love the sound of those vics especially when the cops puch the gas and rocket off down the road
True dual thrush welded mufflers with side pipes Will sound Great on This old Girl
Awesome video Randy! This car is identical to my first car. I had a white 97 CVPI and loved it. I now have a 2005 CVPI! Thanks for the video!
Nick would have so much fun picking out things for the Police car and I say yes, let Nick do his ideas !!!!!!
Glad you won this crown Vic! Definitely scored! Very clean for the year! Yes
Those Police Interceptors are solid cars and they are usually well maintained. With all the cop options you can’t beat them.
It would be pretty cool to let Nick decide the color. Also just give it an all around tune up under the hood and it should run better. Nice Crown Victoria though and great value. Love the 90's body style a lot as well. Great video as always Randy.👍
I bought one of these vehicles for my son's first car from a police auction for $500.00 just before the car market decided to go crazy. It runs and drives like a dream.
Before blowing money, get a can of CRC MAF cleaner and clean out the maf really good. I had a similar problem with my old Tbird. Cleaning that MAF made a world of difference
Very clean and straight Vic. These things are killer and pretty much indestructible.
Randy and his diamond in the ruff crown vic addition!!! Awesome car buddy. Hope nick picks dark blue! Maaco here comes randy!
Loop a hanger on the plate and secure it with the trunk. Losing plates is a hassle.
That is one of the best cars made. For the age of the car it is in remarkable shape. It was an excellent price congrats. Yes let Nick choose the color. 🇨🇦
All stock with a tuned 4.6 and duals is the business.
So happy you bought that car Randy, my favorite style crown Vic! 👍
Randy, you should get a police design wrap on the crown Vic that says "AAR Headquarters"
Love those cars. Actually thought about buying one soon as a driver sick of truck prices ready to go back to a car. I'd keep it clean and white but that's me
I replaced my last daily driver with a 2007 Grand Marquis I got a decent deal on. Not perfect but very nice. It's a luxury tank and I see about 22 mpg average. Zero regrets.
CHEERS! 🇱🇷
@@armedinbama Damn 22mpg that's nice in those big cars. I've been looking around today for those
@@frankm8533 A BIG G.M. CAR does better than that 20 MPH CITY & 26 HIGHWAY that is with the 5.7 350 LT 1 CORVETTE ENGINE I have one a 95 BUICK ROADMASTER with the very ENGINE in it my AUNT in OKLAHOMA CITY has a 94 CAPRICE CLASSIC with the exact same ENGINE & hers gets the same GAS MILAGE
@@aslamb6489 that actually comes out to about 22 miles per gallon average.
Yes ! Go for it Nick!😉
This thing is such a beast I love it
The best cars on the planet I had 95 Crown Vic as a cab. Most reliable car. The only thing the seat is uncomfortable
Let nick pick the color. I’d say you are looking at a coil pack that may be getting some moisture in it. Spray it down with wd40 and let it sit for an hour, and drive it. The WD will temporarily seal the coil
Always have liked the interceptor, either Crown Vic, Mustang. Yes let Nick choose the color
Let Nick pick the color. You got a real on the p-71. I had one and drove it for 250,000 miles on it. It was smooth and nice. Congrats Randy 👍👍👍👍
Good I'm glad you got it
Sounds like it needs A tunup ,fresh plugs and wires, air filter and oil change and that should fix the hesitation
Had a Police Interceptor! That handle a lot better than most think! Good mpg, handling and very comfy!
Yes. Let Nick decide. Lime green would be fun !
Yes! These came in a very light green that looked sweet at the time.
Yes, definitely let Nick choose the color. I would play around with it and do wheels, exhaust, etc., but I’d skip the light bar just to avoid the hassle and unwanted attention.
Missing these days, you changed a lot man your CZcams channel was better back then you should start doing this again on buying affordable cars
Nice Vic looks solid & clean panther platform🚙🚗💯
Aaaayyy, another Crown Vic Police Interceptor, only it's an Aero Vic this time! This is the 2nd P71 for you, you must like these P71 Crown Vics, and I don't blame you! In all seriousness, I'd have a bit of fun with this one before you eventually sell it! And honestly, a navy blue or a storm grey and spraying the pillars black to give it a more modern continuous window look would REALLY look good on that car, I feel!
Let Nick decide for the color! It must be amazing!
Love the panther platform.
That crown Victoria brings me back memories I had one just like that for my first car love that car had it for 7 years
Nice car. One thing I do want to mention: The blowby test you did was inaccurate. Unless you plug off all other PCV hoses, the blowby gases are going to get sucked into the intake via vacuum. You'll see a big difference if you plug off the PCV hoses and do the test again. Even healthy engines will have some very light steam pushing out, but should be no pulsing pressure behind it.
YES AWSOME IDEA. LET NICK PICK THE COLOR. BET HE WOULD LOVE IT!
I had a 97 ,put flow masters on it,The car ran and ran and by the way people would just move out of your way on the highway lol.
Awsome, great video and content😎
Yeah! I'd be curious to see what kind of color Nick'd pick for that thing... I think that's a great plan.
Let Nick decide. I like when you spend time with him. Seems like a good kid. Like the video and recent content. 😊👍🏻🇺🇸
Love these 1997 ford crown Victoria's my grandpa has one same color and interior color
If the A/C in a Ford works, it’s usually ice cold. Summer of 1980 I worked for a public library system with a new 1980 Ford Fairmont wagon. 200 cubic inch 6. I drove around the state 4 days a week taking borrowed books back to their home libraries. About 200 mile a day. Summer of 1980 was a hot one people my age still remember. You could hang beef in that Fairmont.
Love the older crown vics, good cars.
Good smokin’ deal. Yeah let Nick pick the paint. 😎🇨🇦👍
probably running lean,,, start by changing the fuel filters check fuel pressure at the rails,,, etc,,,Really a nice car Randy,,, major score,,, :-)
Idk what it is, these older car videos are my favorite!
If its still doggy under heavy throttle check the cats, they could very well be clogged... also could be old plugs.
Let it match the Ram's colour "two tone colour" White and Gold
Randy let nick pick the color of the crown vic and also let him decide what else should be done to her good to see you and nick spending time with each other he's going to learn a lot from you
Yes let Nick choose the colour 🔥👌
Coil packs, plugs, wires, clean the MAF with MAF cleaner.
Heck yeah another one 😀
This time after dinner episode 😇
Those vic’s sound so mean with a straight pipe lol
That cop car is........a steal!! Well played!
I would give my left testicle to have a Crown Vic as a patrol car again and this video brought back great memories. I could close my eyes when you opened the door and started it, and it took my mind back so many years! My first take home car was a '96 back in '99 when I first started. I had numerous CV's through the years. Battle Tested and and proven rock solid time and time again. We drive Chargers now. What a sorry excuse for a car, let alone a patrol vehicle. Failures at every turn, it seems, with those things.
Nice old Crown Vic, tune up and a color change sounds good! Let Nick decide! 👍🏼
This the content we crave!
I would let Nick pick the colour and after that i would tint the windows, put the lightbar on it and maybe throw some AAR stickers on it
Yes
Loving This. 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
I owned a 95 , it did that same thing , changed the maf and cleared it up ( caught myself doing 105 on I 40 in new Mexico )
It would be cool to let nick decide a good change.
The greatest car Ford ever built
I'm jealous of the $2.69 per gallon...
My father still owns and daily drive a 1996 Grand Marquis fully loaded. Great cars
hi again from San Antonio. Just keep at it.
Goodjob randy your blessed. Keep it up
Those cars run. A very good choice to try this with. Good 👍
Let Nick do his thing ! 👍
Sending love support and respect from Boston 🔥
