I think it would be cool to see native Spanish speaking artists do interviews in Spanish with real time subtitles to make them even more comfortable.
English artists get interviewed here on Spain with a translator that listens to them and translates it to the host and the viewers, it would be cool to see it happen the other way around haha it's obvious he is not as comfortable in English

Most peope do not understand the concept of his new album, which is: Bad Bunny vs Benito. The album shows a duality/ an internal fight between the person and the artist. The album begins with Benito venting about how he really feels about fame/controversy/what he values, he then tells us about other experiences (someone cheated on him, he wants to retire at 33, thanking his 🇵🇷 and important people in his life, talking about Carliz etc.) and then we hear Bad Bunny fronting his success, saying “I could be talking about something deeper, but this is what sells and it confuses me (people critique but consume his explicit lyrics the most), Bad Bunny says he is afraid of how high (on top of the world) he is and then the album ends with Benito’s Un preview saying that he is ready to fall in love again (with his current girl) and show us a bit of what’s coming next year: perreo pa las babies)

His English has improved so much! As someone who is learning Spanish, him speaking English is a great way to learn the language! So yes, he would feel more comfortable speaking Spanish, but for him to learn, he has to be in the language.

FYI. Benito does not like to do interviews in English, he is not fluent (he is also an introvert), but the deeper reason is because when American or other foreign artists do promo in Latin America, they speak in English and the interviewer has to adapt to their language even tho’ the artist is the one visiting. Latinos and others are expected to make the effort and speak in English, but not the other way around! Also, Bad Bunny doesn’t believe that to make it big and be successful worldwide, artists have to do an English crossover like most have, that’s why he keeps on speaking/singing in Spanish only and pushing Latin music in Spanish! 👏🏼💯🔥

He has expressed just that. When Americans go to Latin America to do promo, they keep speaking English, don’t make the effort and the interviewer has to either speak English or find a translator. Media doesn’t do that to accommodate Latinos, we are expected to learn and speak in their language.

exacto, es lo que ha dicho que para ser exitoso a nivel global no hay q hacer el cross-over en inglés como todos lo han hecho y por eso ha demostrado que si se pude hacer cantando en nuestro idioma. Igual en las entrevistas, siempre ha criticado que los artistas latinos deben adaptarse y hablar en inglés, pero los americanos cuando van a hacer promo en america latina no se esfuerzan y termina la entrevistadora adaptandose a ellos y hablando inglés, aún cuando los visitantes son los gringos.

Tupac es una legenda no solamente por su buen rap y voz distinctiva y atractivo, pero por inteligencia y manera de expresarse, no es un titere como el prefabricado bad rabbit, fue crudo y autentico. Lo que pasa es que el latino quiere llegar a ese nivel porque has ta ahora tienen un poco de atencion, pero se siente tan falso. Todo lo tienen que copiar y extraer de lo negro, desde la salsa hasta el tango...desde el rock hasta el country...desde el house hasta el jersey...de verdad tienen talento? no lo llevan en la sangre, eso es cultural y las base es negra...y lo peor es que no pueden darle ese toque especial a sus canciones por mas sucias que suenen, son repetitivas y zombificadas, carecen de ritmos nuevos, creativos etc, todo ya fue inventado por su origen, hay canciones sucias con mejor ritmo y lirica creativa que la porqueria que cualquier hijo de pepito pueda "cantar". Listen, being bilingual isn’t easy. It’s one thing to sit one on one with someone without an audience, and a whole different world to have people watching you. Becoming shy and overwhelmed is super easy. He’s doing great, he’s always being humble and doesn’t really like to brag or talk about himself that much.
He’s still in the translating to English era before speaking lol it’s totally normal.
You are correct that becoming bilingual is not an easy task. However, I believe he should have made more significant progress in his English by now. I'm Puerto Rican, born and raised on the island. It wasn't until I moved to the States that my English started to improve. Prior to that, my English education was limited to just five hours per week of English as a second language, and I rarely had the opportunity to use it.
@tonytech5520 I believe he mentioned somewhere that he's not interested in learning English, and he won't sing in English either. When you become such a big 🌟 you don't need to learn English just bc you perform in the US. Just like Messi, he doesn't even try speaking English at all 😂 tal vez tu y yo que tenemos trabajos normales en US si lo necesitamos y es una gran ventaja pero personas como benito o messi ya se pasaron el juego de la vida y en su Lengua Natal 🫡

Writing lyrics for a Latin music genre is one thing, but engaging in an interview is another. While it's true that they didn't need to speak English to be successful, speaking the language of a country not only demonstrates respect but also intelligence. Benito is from Puerto Rico (US territory), where English is taught as a second language from first grade all the way through twelfth grade and the first two years of college. Sadly many students are focused on passing the class rather than genuinely learning.

@@tonytech5520he speaks better english off camera, but he gets nervous and most importantly he has expressed before how much he dislike doing interviews in English, because they always expect latinos to adapt to English, but when Americans go do promo in Latin America, they never make an effort and is expected that either the interviewer has to speak English to them or they must find a translator. American Media never accommodates foreigns like that, they all have to adapt and speak English in America.
