This movie really hit home for me. Cherokee Bill's mother and my Great Great grandmother were sisters. And also I live in Muskogee where Bass Reeves is laid to rest. Sometimes it's cool to be a black country boy. ✊

In Spike Lee’s movie X, When Malcolm (Denzel) gets a crowd to the jail to have a brother released, he points one finger and the men roll out in a single file. Trudy points her finger in the exact same way when theyre breaking Buck out. Nice ode. She’s even wearing black gloves like Denzel. Pretty sweet ode

So the Easter Egg would be karma came and got him in the form of the bullet that was supposed to have killed him anyway.

Cherokee Bill, throughout the film never demonstrated how fast he was. He was ruthless and could shoot; however, he shot Jim Beckworth before the count was done, and he shot Bill Pickett in the back. I think it has something to do with these three lines and the scene that they are aligned with.
    "I never met a madman's soul
That I didn't see reflections of that which I own
But I know there's something better outside" And when Ceelo sings "OUTSIDE" the camera cuts from Rufus Buck to Nat Love...only it isn't known at that moment their connection...so I don't really want to SPOIL it...but those are part of my thoughts.
Then a couple of scenes before that there are two scenes that show a three way gun shooting from the back with Nat, Cherokee and Jim... and then cuts straight to a wonderful SHADOW scene then fast forward to the lyrics Ceelo says: "Well, I lost my shadow in violent sin" and then towards the end "Ooh, found my shadow in a violent sky".
Another interesting point was when Cherokee Bill said to Bill Pickett "Being scared will only give you bad karma in the afterlife." And then shortly after getting murked by Cuffee, Ceelo sings the second stanza about karma in his song "I thought my karma would be my fate..." Then Cherokee dies.
That's All I Got yall...Please Jeymes Samuel let us know...eventually. Also, where was the credit for Theodore Love/Buck in the end, I looked for who I thought was Michael Beach but I didn't see his name...Just wondering.

But this is what I think he was talking about.
As Cherokee hits the ground and is dying, the camera angel changes at first we zoom in and then we get a wider view.
At this point the words we hear are .."Take me back to Blackskin mile"
During which point we see a lone horse walking across the screen from right to left ..in the opposite direction that Cherokee came from...as if the horse is going back.
My interpretation is that this Horse represents the "Democrats"...and the words "Take me back to the Blackskin mile".. represents a shoutout to be wishing to go back to the times of a certain Black Skinned leader...
      Peace out.

@@prameednair509 that definitely isn't simple nor plain, it is very detailed and creative and could also be the case. Thank you for expounding. I am so apolitical so I would not have even began to see it that way. I do have a question though, is the symbol for Democrats a horse or a donkey? I am not certain at all. But I do totally appreciate you taking the time to share your easter egg reveal as well.

🎼🎶 *'THREE AND THIRTY YEARS'* 🎶🎼
(the _Alice Smith and Fisk Jubilee Singers_ version)
Jeymes wrote that in addition to most of the entire score. I like how from the very first music _(not counting young Chase Dillon plucking that guitar)_ viewers hear in the film, Jeymes is already giving insight into a overall tale and setting a tone with the song's lyrics as Rufus Buck takes a seat at the dinner table _("Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?")_ and the murders transpire.
*Three and thirty years I tried*
*To forget all the tears I cried*
*Then one who knew me long ago*
      *Appeared upon my lonely road*
      *Warning me of trouble soon*
*And talking me of pending doom*
*Then all at once he disappeared*
*And left me in a tomb of fear*
*Pray in silence, brave the cold*
*A son, a mother, priest and robe*
*Will hold The Word until their sleep*
*A dove will fly above the keep*
      *Now forever life is gone*
      *Beholden to a sacred song*
*The Sun will too late understand*
*That dark consumes the light of man*

This movie is awesome on so many levels. It prompted me to research the lives of people of the African diaspora, Indigenous People/Natives living in the Old West including the outlaws, the cowboys, cowgirls and the lawmen……This movie entertained me and also made me realize how important it is for me to educate our children by sharing stories of our true history and contributions.

This film was truly a joy to watch (especially after Dune). From the very moment Pretty Yende's voice enveloped my ears I was hooked. Literally I sat up on the edge of my seat because I knew that something outstanding was about to happen. It was a perfect mesh of film, score and soundtrack that had me from beginning to end. When Stagecoach Mary walked in with the thump of the rifle It was on. What a WONDERFUL display of talent and vision. I do not know who all to thank, but thank you for getting this done. I should have seen it in the theater. I look forward to many more westerns that highlight the real cowboys.

My daughter is in theatre production and she couldn’t stop talking about the imagery, the set, costumes, etc we were a room full of smile’s and chatter at the end.
