Now being around the Duran Duran members' age in their beginnings, I begin to realize even more how well spoken they were in such young years, they knew exactly what they were doing and where they wanted to go musically and as a famous band. People often forget Simon was the only one in his early twenties when they began as Duran. Every member, wether they parted or came back to DD, are incredibly talented and intelligent and they were often put aside as the "pretty pinup boys" which is sad. Not only do they look amazing and presented themselves this well they also were and are really good at what they're doing. ❤️❤️❤️
I think he's in 'Who's Who?' ? I'm sure I read he has some distant royal / nobility connection ( without including like most of us in western Europe who are descendants of Charlemagne).
Very intelligent guy, I like him a lot. The references to David Sylvian, they started about the same time in music, that's the similarity and they are both very artistic.
He's got it all, intelligence, charisma, sophistication, creativity, fashion, kindness, humility, his ability to articulate.... he thinks before he speaks. His looks are evolving as he gets older but dang he's just as hot as ever.
You know you play that game of "If you could have a sit down dinner party with any 8 people, living or dead...?" Nick Rhodes would be on my left, Nikola Tesla on my right. Everyone else would just have to sit, listen and wait to be spoken to.
He seems to be acting all the time... I loved him since I was 13, but when I found out about David Sylvian, I just lost that love... I always thought that he was so original, and cool... Great disappointment :(
@@dancing_on_the_valentine_83 To be fair, I don't think you should lose your love for him because of that. Whilst I admit that their looks were very similar, there were so many artists in that new wave period who had similar hairstyles or ways of dressing, particularly with frilly shirts then later, suits, that it's hard to say anyone copied another directly. Plus, by the mid 80s, Nick's hair got much bigger, longer and coiffed, and I think there's enough looks where the two look different, especially after the 80s, that I can't say he copied him all the time. Nick himself has never claimed his look is original by any means, so we can't have a go at him for it.
Nick Rhodes is the most beautiful man on earth! (both inside and out) He’s so intelligent, he’s hilarious and he’s so freaking kind! And one of a kind! Also, he owes his image to no one but himself (Dennis Nelson)
@@dancing_on_the_valentine_83 that’s ridiculous. For a brief time, they just happened to look similar and both wore makeup. Neither copied the other. Besides that, Nicks look was ever changing ... because he IS & always has been original & - ̗̀ cool ̖́- as hell!
@@TheDonnaTB Yes, Japan started the same time as Duran. Nick's always had a solid image of his own. David Sylvian now looks very different (apart from aging), when he started as a solo artist - the make up and blonde hair (dyed) went! Nick, still artistic with his appearance.
I wish I was rich enough to have a butler and if I could I would want the butler to be British and sound just like Nick. His diction is perfect and yet so pleasant
He hasn’t evolved at all. He’s just gotten older. Want to see someone evolve check out some early Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings photos at the start of their career. That’s doesn’t negate that Nick is a legend from one of my favorite bands.
He's so pretty I wanna cry
Dude I literally just said to my wife right now “this is the best looking guy in music!” He’s total bad ass MTV suave!!
I totally agree 💗
I agree
Yess he’s literally gorgeous🥹❤️
Nick is so glorious to listen to.He could easily read a telephone directory and I would think how artistic! :)

He is so humble and the same person but genuine.I love his intellect and it reflects in their music.
Nick's been my favorite since I was a little girl. His voice is so soothing. Love you Nick ❤❤❤
Same.He’s such an interesting man.
Nick totally blows me away with his beauty, intellect and niceness! I’ve been in love with him for over 40 years now and I don’t want to stop!
I totally agree!

The best dressed and most stylish keyboardist I can think of!
He is definitely very posh. More intellectual then rocker.
nick rhodes is the ultimate pop aristocrat :)

The SOUL of DD!
He had the deepest voice
Nick’s brummie accent was stronger in that first clip. Faded a bit as the years progressed.
Nick Rhodes is gorgeous! Nick, you look so hot on the Billboard Music Awards OMG!
What a BABE! 🥰
Omg he's so gorgeous 😍
I actually feel he has got more attractive and interesting as he has got older.

TBH I don't think Tesla would come & if he did, probably wouldn't say alot .
Nick owes his entire image to David Sylvian.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

A MATTER OF FEELING.
Reminds me of spinal tap
The only constant in these 40 years is the make-up.

0:08-0:20 = hell, I thought that was Kris Bryant .....
Maybe nick rhodes should wear makeup again today. Relive the 80s.
Botox gives you lots of confidence mate! Well bloody done!
The word pretentious springs to mind!
