Tania and Jovanka were great, but nothing can top the Hess and Naro commentary duo! Hope we see much more of them this year.
Wesley (against Abdusottorov) and Carlsen win next round, Giri draws and they are all tied for first
Nodirbek would have to at least draw next to games for Carlsen to have a chance
Wesely will draw
For chess to sustain its newly found popularity, the points for a win should increase. It would provide incentive for draw-machines the likes of Levon Aronian and Wesley So to take more chances. An endless series of draws is not good for the game and outdated. Football came to this realization in 1981, which made games more exciting.
Imagine Wesley Magnus both win and anish draws. We could have 4 players tied for first on 7.5 going into the last round
Carlsen you can do it!
Danya wanted to say something at the end... In earlier Games he was the one who concludes the session, but not today 😄 hess showing who is the real Boss here 😆
Dynamic Duo - Danya & Hess
I hope they stick with the big upgrade in commentary.
Bro Keymer is so underrated, he gets a better position above almost everyone, idk why people hate on him, just wtf
Probably because he just loses after that. And on top of that, he is like that kid in class on test day who always is the last to turn in the test. The whole class is whispering just waiting for him to turn in his test so they can talk normally or watch a movie
@@TopBigMike only that this is a tournament on chess and that it's admirable for people to play a long game😂 that argument really backfires, wtf are you talking about. Nobody of them would just give up early. Also he did never make any blunders but a kot of other players did in this tournament
I was there and was on camera also Anish stared at me.
How cool to hear than Anish talks to Nodirbek in Russian.
I don't understand why the commentators never mention the fact that when the players take their time early, it not necessarily because they are "out of prep", but rather that they may want their opponent to 'think' they are out of prep.
But That's a cheap tactic..
I was going to comment sooner, but I took my time.
4:11:25 is that tyreek hill
Great commentary
Por que o Magnus não fez o Be1 no final??
Idk
Why magnus did not move the bishop to e1 and bring the king
That's what i'm thinking
Really don't know, he has bishop and I was thinking that he's easily winning it. But I'm just 650 rated, surely there's reason why it is a draw 😂
The reason is because yeah he had the bishop on an open board vs a knight which should be winning but if you analyze that with an engine it gets very tricky for the bishop to correctly defend against the knight because #1 the knight is not limited to only black or white squares and #2 the knight just starts forking everything
the pawn is on the wrong side. the corner is light-squared and magnus had a dark-squared bishop. therefore, after wesley parks his king on a8 magnus has no way of queening even if he wins the last pawn. its a theoretical draw by stalemate.
@@ajaygocher4685 after some moves the opponent king would get the opposition and would lead to a repetition of moves or a stalemate
