You just make it look soooo easy!!! Really enjoy your channel.
Gorgeous looking fly Brian
Thanks for the video
Nice tie Charlie Cravens a hell of a guy shop at his place all the time beautiful fly shop
Chris, you win man! Shoot me your address and I will get a package in the mail to you!!
Hey Chris, forgive me.....I swear you sent me a message somewhere, but now I can't find it to save my life! Shoot me an email when you get a chance bnwise@gmail.com
The Gonga is one of my top producers!!!
I tied a couple of these up following Charlie's instructions, but substituting wire for mono on the connection. Although I didn't get any foul hooking (he says tighten up the connection to avoid fouls), the fly also looked a little stiff in the water. After watching your video and seeing you use a wire connection the same way I traditionally do, I think I am going to take this pattern back to the vise and put some life back into it. As always, thanks for the videos and inspiration on the tying bench!
Thanks again, Nick!
Well I now know my next pattern! Excellent video as always Brian!
Get some browns with this sweet tie, this fall. Thanks for sharing.
Charlie's Fly Box is definitely worth the trip for any fly tier if you're ever in the area!
I met Charlie great gut very nice, his shop not far from me, really dig his patterns
Great action on this fly. Loved the video 👍🏼❤️👏🏼👊🏼
Nice as always! Love that color combo!
I’ve been tying and fly fishing for close to 60 years now and I don’t mind admitting that I’ve learned quite a few great tricks and innovative tying methods from your and your compadres!!
Yuze Gize Freaking ROCK!!!!
I love seeing where fly fishing is going with Dudes like you and your other Streamer maniacs leading the way!!!
Being the Geezer that I amz, I live in Florida on the Nature Coast (Snukez, Poonz, Redz, Troutziz (speculated type) and lots of other mean-ass fighting feeshez!!! I live less than a mile from Lk. Rousseau, a stump filled swamps surrounded lake that produces many 12+ overs every year!! The spillway that forms the lake is a 1/2 mile from my house where saltwater fish like snook, baby Poonz (up to like 20lbs) jacks along with some bog old Bighaid bassez wait for stuns panfish and shadz to come through the spillway!! I love to streamer fish the fast water ( almost rapidlinke) running down to the main river!! It reminds me of fishing the big rivers up north and nothing like you would ever expect around here! Then head down the beautiful Withlacoochee River 5 miles to the uncrowded Gulf full of rocky islands, oyster and sand bars and bunches of wild creeks coming in from the back country!!! It’s a great place for an old fly fisher to go out to pasture!!!
I’ll be surprised if you read this far on a bunch of BS from some old dude from Fla!
I love everything you put online and always look forward to your new posts!! Please keep up the great work Brian!!!
One of your Biggest Fans>>>>>>>>>> Snook Spanker>>> Pete Sansone 🦨
Please excuse my writing Brian, getting over a really bad case of covid which killed me but I came back!! Too mean and stinky to die yet!!! But like many others, it kinda affected my brains some. So if you can’t make sense of what I wrote. Sorry!!
PS>>>> I don’t need your fly cause if you sent it to me, I wouldn’t fish it, I’d frame it of course!!! I know you said you have some kind of random snot picker machine but maybe you should just find some kid to send it to?? By the way, how are your Sonz?? Don’t see much of them anymore? I guess they must have found some galz??
I loved watching them growing up and catching trouts, I’d die to catch!! It always reminded me of taking my two Sons fishing way back when!!!
Take care, be careful and stay COOL!!!
Great work Brian! Love the videos!
Awesome fly pattern. Can't wait to tie up a few!
One of those old school simple flies what is still works well. Bigger version with the bulky head is very good for pike too. ;)
Keep the videos coming Brian!
Oh yeah! I was wondering when this fly was going to make an appearance!
Beautiful tie sir Brian
Have been looking at his patterns forever !! Love to see them!
Another great fly tying tutorial
Great tie once again man! This fly has been on my to tie list for a bit, along with a hundred other flies lol.
Great fly. Now I've just got to find room in my streamer box to fit it in!
Again a piece of art. Thanks for charging.
Another awesome tie. I'll have to test this one out on some TN tailwaters this fall!
Great video excellent looking fly!
I feel like smallies would hammer this fly.
Yeah!! Really like this one...sweet tie. Thanks
Good job Bryan. Thank you for the videos all your time and effort are greatly appreciated !
Definitely going to be tying this one up! Awesome as always Brian!
Sooo good man! Thanks for all your work
Nice tie. I've used similar flies for coastal cutthroat as well as largemouth bass.
Deadly pattern! Nice work, as always
Great looking fly!
Awesome tie !!
Awesome video again! Love these
Solid work!! I love watching your videos and making an attempt at the patterns..
Great fly! You tying videos are always awesome. I’ve learned a lot from watching over the years.
Send it this way!!! Haha another great video sir. Thank you
You make it look so easy.
Another good looking swimming fly. I didn’t realize Charlie had any streamers. I know his nymphs hunt so I need to try this one.
Thanks for sharing.
Man that’s an awesome looking fly! Great video as always
Thats been an effective fly out here in Idaho, great video
excellent as always!
Great instructions keep em coming
You rock- keep up the stellar work.
Love that tattoo!
Awesome video, lots of good info
I've been wanting to tie this pattern. Thanks for what you do!
Great fly that swims well
Awesome video as usual Brian! Keep them coming, I always pick up a technique or two as I watch.👍👍
Awesome pattern used it last week. Charlie has a great shop and is always willing to offer advice. My favorite streamer of his is the Dirty Hippy single hook and articulated.
Killer tie!
great video of a killer pattern.
Awsome fly, you make it look so easy. Gona try this fly for some bass in north carolina.
Cool fly. This has a couple of my favorite materials. Love marabou. And I'm also not confident when tying multiple hooks. Sticking with single hooked flies for now. :P Also, there's gotta be a mullet joke in there somewhere....wooly bugger in the back and clouser/bugger in the front....
Great video as usual. Really good job with the Polar Fiber dubbing loop head. It turned out really nice!
I've always wanted to know how to tie the gonga. Love it
Awesome video! I love this fly! Definitely gonna add this pattern to my box! Hope I win!
keep up the great work! I love your videos.
Very Nice, as always!
good looking fly!
Love this fly! I think it would work great for the Jacks that hunt the reef edges for Sculpin. Thanks again for anther great tie! Aloha from Maui😀
Nice fly man!
Nice fly!
Any reason as to why you used the smaller gap nymph hooks vs a typical streamer hook? Love the videos!
Just got an 8wt rod to throw big stuff with. Definitely tying up some of these soon!
Sweet pattern
Love that thing
Great looking fly. Would love to try it on some Bass.
Great tlying
Oh, the trout around here love dungeons so this will probably work just as good. Might have to tie one when I get the chance.
Going to tie some of these up!
Sick fly Bro!!!! Gonna tie up some and 🤞
Sweet fly, would love to try it for Erie steelhead and smallies
Sweet! I have a very specific color combo I want to try with this pattern. It should perform well on our Arkansas tailwaters. Thanks!
Great lokking fly would slay Big pearch or pike here in denmark Nice fly💪
love ur vids ur BA man ive been tying for years off an on an love ur editing on ur vids
good pattern
Killer pattern
This thing looks deadly
Cool
Nice fly Brian. I've noticed that Kelly Galloup now has a line of vertical eye hooks for stingers so they can stay inline with the front hook. Do you think that makes a difference in the performance of the fly? Keep the good stuff coming, and one of these days you need to get up here to Michigan to fish the salmon run, big fun!!
That looks like a good saltwater streamer might have to try some time nice job
I want the fly 🤘🏼
Interesting pattern! How does it work on trout?
Howdy. I am just learning articulating flies. My question is. Can I use craft store beads plastic wooden 6 mmFor the articulation separation? Love the show trying to copy your flies thanks Dave from PA
Liked AND saved :o) Always a great tutorial. I have Craven's "Fly Box" book, would love a Gonga tied by you for comparison when I attempt to tie one. Brian, what type and size thread and connector did you use? Thanks
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice fly, what was the purpose of burning the head. To help shape it or remove unwanted fur?
🎯🐟
Nice fly. Could craft fur or other dubbing be used for the head/wing of the fly? I have never worked with polar fiber before.
Craft Fur is almost identical!
What's the purpose of using ice wing fiber over ice dub? Great tie as usual!
Great tie! Send it to me and I’ll put it to good use
Haven't see someone use the fluffy end of a feather before.
Sup!!! My dude!
