Please did you provide certificate in your CV when applying for the tailor job, because am a tailor and in Ghana they don't give a valid certificate, so I don't have a good certificate to include in my CV, but I have been sewing for over 8 years 😊
Hi, you should have an apprenticeship certificate, if you can get a vocational certificate from the govt that will be great as well.

yes its possible , there're vocational institutions around canada that you can apply for some of there programs. try researching and calling the vocational institute before landing so you can have the relevant documentation on hand to secure an admission.
