Thanks Daz for getting to this VERY important song in Lucy's career, her first commercially recorded song, and yes an original for the up coming stage Musical Chris Broom is writing and producing with Lucy, this shows what Chris Broom saw in the POTENTIAL of Lucy and the TALENT and that he has Lucy co producing the Musical ROSIE !!! It is based on a true life person Rosie Boote and her life. Yes the song is about the dreams of a young girl and what she hopes for in her life, which I find so prophetic for Lucy to sing at a young age as it also predicted Lucy's own rise to fame. Lucy's original songs are, most recent back, BRAND NEW DAY in which Lucy was sought out to sing the NEW theme song for an unannounced TV series, and is a powerful song, and the rest are all original to the show ROSIE, all written by Chris Broom and are powerful, BROKEN DREAMS, at 18 as a dress rehearsal, WE THANK YOU LORD, a choir group Lucy leading and at 15, STARLIGHT, SUDDENLY, GENTLE BREEZE, and ONE DAY. Lucy is a very top QUALITY singer with a wide and powerful range yet can also be soft, and Lucy does NOT need to use so many vocal gymnastics to just be different, she has the Ability to SING the high notes and not SCREAM them. Lucy has taken on all the divas of the past and smokes them in QUALITY, and she does not need the wild hairdoos and gobs of make up or to be 1/2 naked to do her songs. Some of her covers to see are EVERGREEN, MEMORY, OVER THE RAINBOW, AT LAST, MAKE YOU FEEL MY LOVE, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU is a cross section of Lucy over the years thanks again for supporting your fellow Brit on her road to fame.

Rosie is based on the true life of Rosie Boote. A young, poor Irish girl who , eventually, will marry a powerfull English Lord, against the will of the King and the English nobility. The real Rosie passed away in 1957.
For the staged musical in 2024, this song will not be sang by Lucy Thomas but probably by Norah Thomas( not the same family!). The song , in the musical has to be performed by a child, Lucy is not ,anymore a child.❤

sandraanderson Lucy sang that song at the private show put on at the Bests in Texas earlier this month, but the sound at the venue was bad, but Lucy knows the song and I agree I would like to hear her record it !!

Enjoyed your reaction and comments! You mentioned discovering "younger" singers like Lucy & Angelina. They are wonderful and I've been following their music since December 2019. But there are two other younger ones as well that I began listening to around that very same time. If you haven't reacted to them, you definitely should. They both are operatic/classical crossover/Christian vocalists. Their names are Amira Willighagen & Laura Bretan. Amira is from Holland, but now resides in South Africa. She auditioned for Holland's Got Talent at age 9, singing "O Mio Babbino Caro," having been self-taught up to that point by watching YT operas! She won the competition at age 10! She is now 19, still singing more beautifully than ever, and is a humanitarian/philanthropist in children's causes & endangered animal species. Laura Bretan is Romanian-American, living in Chicago, Illinois. She won Romania's Got Talent at age 13, and went to finalist that same year in America's Got Talent, having first auditioned with "Nessun Dorma". She was also self-taught at that point! She is currently 22. Like Lucy and Angelina, both are breathtakingly beautiful young ladies with strong character values firmly rooted in their deep Christian faith. Please check them out! I know you'll be glad to add them to your rabbit hole collections!

Lucy is my #1,though as we are mentioning other young singers,check out Charlotte Summers,she is an English/Spanish vocalist,a different style to Lucy,but up there with the best of them😊

After watching your reaction to young Lucy it becomes apparent you are like so many others that have been force fed what is known as "modern entertainment" that started decades ago, yes I am an old guy that remembers when QUALITY was what was expected from entertainers, but decades ago entertainers decided they had to be different, wilder crazier, more smoke, lights and fire, and quality singing gave way to the yelling and screaming, the dress deterorated from suits and fancy dresses to tank tops, long grungy hair scraggly beard and wild hair do and gobs of make up and 1/2 naked bodies. everyone trying to out do how rediculous they could be and how loud, and how many weird noises they could make QUALITY singing went away and then along come someone like Lucy who sings top QUALITY music and yes it is different, it is QUALITY rarely seen now days, and that will be Lucy's mountain to climb. sad people have been fed garbage for so many years it has become the "norm" for so many !!!! I gave up on modern music decades ago and Lucy popped up on You Tube with Hallelujah and I do NOT to this day understand WHY I clicked on it, I knew the song never heard of Lucy but I clicked on and my gawd she grabbed my attention and I spent the whole afternoon going from one song to her next, I was hooked, Lucy could sing and Lucy is about 95% of the music I listen to. and I found YOU because you played Lucy. thanks for the react to Lucy !!! The songs I listed below will get you a great start on Lucy's ability, quality and talent for enjoyment !!!
What's so sad is for you to reach your 80s. and to not accept we all have different taste , and many have wide variety of taste and genre including listening to Lucy . one person's rubbish is another's gold . young kids for example may buy bubble gum pop , some like you may consider that rubbish but it's how most people start their interest in music , as they age they often leave the so called rubbish behind but continue to have a interest in music , that's good for the music industry .if everyone thought as you , the music industry would die .😊

I gave up on that decades ago, as I grew up on QUALITY sung by decent well dressed people, people with class and talent and I REFUSE to listen to most of the garbage put forth today, why I find Lucy and Martha so attractive as they can SING !!!!!

@@tomwhite4736 Thats because for decades we were force fed the crap they called "Modern Music" and I refused to listen or support crap I have no interest in, I followed a couple Jackie Evancho but she disappeared for a couple years and when she came back she was trying to use her sex to sell her songs and no thanks, I will choose and listen to singer that can sing and aren't 1/2 naked !!! You listen to the crap you want and I will listen to Lucy and Martha !!!
