I had never heard of Snow Patrol, much less the song, before I heard it sung by Lucy a few years ago. Still one of my favorites from her. Sometimes you just shake your head in disbelief at her ability. 👑
It was a Snow Patrol original but covered beautifully by Leona Lewis, but of course surpassed by the greatest, our Lucy Thomas at 15
Written by Gary Lightbody front man of 'Snow Patrol' off their classic album 'Final Straw' released in 2004 before their multi million selling album 'Eyes Open' released in 2006 which included the world wide hit 'Chasing cars',lucy does it proud like all she records,she is already a superstar as far as i am concerned!💖💫

Absolutely love this song Run and your selection Dazza this week so far. Keep them coming. This is another male sung song that Lucy has completely changed in to her own. Another far superior sung and much better than the original. Run being one of Lucy’s old favourites and mine too. This probably the first song to hook me on Lucy. This song totally mesmerises me throughout, and this is still my number 1 Lucy song. 🥇
‘Footprints In The Sand’ is yet another good one, and there are many more gems to be discovered. This is why we all hail praise to Lucy.
For historical reasons: She also did this one at 10yo 'on the beach' even more spectacular considering her age!

She sang this at the age of 10 'Run' at the Beach and it was amazing of vocals talented the voice pitch pure clean plain pefect. Then at the age of 15 also sing this again, this time her vocals it's more maturity rounded depth beautiful pitch perfect very nice voice she is amazing voice the I have never heard.
Lucy Thomas songs don’t get blocked on YT, Chris Broome is keen to get Lucy heard. I hadn’t heard this song for some time and like you was getting goosebumps at her impressive rendition, so clear and no wavering to get on note. It is incredible and to think she was just 14, her lower register is so much better these days too.
Cholseyroyal Lucy was 15 when she recorded this song !!! She also has a version she recorded at 10 on the beach, and yes she was running !!!
What more proof do you need. This is the voice of the 21st century. No one can come close. Other reactors have already called it months ago. This performance was recorded when Lucy was 15. It’s perfect. Unbelievably, Lucy has even managed to improve on perfection since then. Lucy Thomas is without peer. Show me someone who can sing better than her!
Lucy is a phenomenal vocalist oozing with talent that is destined to take her to the stars. Lucy is in a class of her own, out singing even the greats with her covers of some of the most challenging songs ever written. I hope you continue to feature Lucy. She is a powerful force that deserves all the recognition she gets.

Yes, the Leona Lewis version was a cover. It was not only done first by Snow Patrol, but written by their lead singer (actually, the whole band seem to be credited with writing it).

I had never seen this one and wow, that was phenomenal. I don't know this song but I certainly loved her rendition of it. So emotional.

Dazza, even at 15 yrs old, Lucy has extremely well developed, mature vocals and her emotional 'draw' is uncanny! Her vibrato is just incredible! I have never heard vocals like this before I found Lucy!
Footprints is one of most under-discovered Lucy videos. It’s really excellent.

Hey Dazza, if you DO do 'Footprints in the sand' you'll see clips of a ten year old Lucy running around on a beach, I might be wrong but I believe it's Ainsdale beach near Southport. Anyway those clips are taken from one of her first videos which was also Snow Patrol's 'Run'. Even at ten years old, and in an earlier one from the year before, Disney's 'Colours of the wind' the pure talent on show is unbelievable.

Good Day Mr. Dazza, It's been a very nice Lucy Thomas appreciation week but I'm sorry I would have preferred some songs that should have been featured in the list. Dazza, for your tribute you must include Lucy's classic award winning original song 'Broken Dreams'. As this song will be a household song the likes of Memory. It's also the best song so far from her musical 'Rosie'. It's not a cover - it's an original. czcams.com/video/CgVFstSyLBI/video.html
Broken Dreams exhibits Lucy's incredible range and power but it's in amongst some really tough competition for Best Song (in my opinion) like her duets With Will Callan - Hold On and Above the Clouds, and all of them so memorable. People will be humming these songs when they leave the theatres. Thats the talent of the brilliant Chris Broom.
@@pedromancenithe3rd More songs to come from Chris Broom for ‘Rosie’, but for me this ‘Broken Dreams’ is a masterpiece up there with the household classics like Memory, and even better. It’s also won awards for best song. I personally love ‘Broken Dreams’ way above the others and I think this her own original song will distinguish her, so should be included in Dazza’s appreciation. It’s my favourite anyway, and I’d say it’s her main song. Great that Lucy’s voice displays Lucy’s and Chris’ and even Martha’s great talents.

@@pedromancenithe3rd Chris Broom is hugely talented himself, but pair with Lucy his name will be up there too. Lucy out sings Elaine Paige singing Memory, but ‘Broken Dreams’ is a masterpiece classic just waiting to be heard. The other songs are good too, but for me Broken Dreams will be the song that will be remembered.
