Lucy said in a radio interview that this version of "One Day", she sounded like a bird chirping..lol..This song was my introduction to Lucy from Chris Broom, the Composer when she was still 13. Love this version and the voice is incredible.

I ran across this lovely clip by pure accident about 5 years ago and immediately put a shortcut on my desktop. it's been said you can't improve on perfection yet Lucy does with every new release!! When I listen to her sing as a young lady she is so good it just makes me cry, it's like how can that be.
GetReal It can be because of genetics and a good vocal coach and Lucy putting in the work. It is uncanny the drive Lucy had a child to do this, Shows her desire and determination !!! She is indeed a very special young Lady !!!

Layman was first then DCPN but his sound is not good, and then PSI & Bella here. The song is on her first CD Premier, and this video can be found by you tube search of Lucy's GeNTLE BREEZE and it is a suggested song at the end,
She was destined to be great. There is a video of her singing Byonce's Listen at about the same agd. It also shows how mature het singing is for her age. She is insanely talented. Great reaction as always ❤

Just want to advise all that this song can only be found by you tube search of Lucys GENTLE BREEZE and at the end ONE DAY is a suggested video !!!! This was Lucy's first commercial recording at Cavendish Records, and this is what Chris Broom saw in Lucy !! And this song is rather prophetic in that she is dreaming and hoping what will happen to her ...ONE DAY !!!! Beautiful song for anyone any age let alone for a 13 year old girl !!!

Watching this the second time it dawned on me that Lucy and Martha just released their latest video, WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD and Martha now is the same age Lucy was when Lucy sang One Day. and Martha now over a year since her last song is Fantastic also, this is a family thing they can sing, but we do NOT want to compare Martha to Lucy now because of the 5 year 8 month difference in age, check em out and enjoy !!

This song ONE DAY is published on Lucy's first CD Premiere, and the song is listed on you tube, voice only, nobody has said why this song.video is only listed as a suggestion at the end of her GENTLE BREEZE video listed under Lucy Thomas Music. The song/video also appears un ROSIE the Musical sung by 7 year old Norah Thomas, NO relation as it will be the opening song of Rosie the Musical the story of Rosie Boote. !!! FYI

I found this great song from Lucy several months ago and is now sung by an unrelated Thomas girl for the upcoming musical Rosie. What “One Day” displays is Lucy’s real accent. If you ever hear her talk & be interviewed, her English (like) accent comes through in a word like “pass” or “world”. Lucy’s voice has matured over the years to be able to enunciate her words and sing them clearly in the American English way. Great song for you two to find, but hear her interviewed some time, & after one of her songs,Lucy sweetly says “Thank you” in her strong English accent. I just have to pick up on one point here I hear no hint of a Lancastrian accent here, she is singing in RP ( which is received pronunciation) which is British English as she does now .Don´t know where you get the idea that she sings in American English. I am English and I know English dialects .In fact if you listen to her sing over the rainbow at the end on the word Can´t it is perfect English nothing American about it. just a small point maybe our ears hear different things.

Two more of Lucy's early sings at 13 are her UK Kids songs MOON RIVER and WOLVES that are listed on you tube and then her three early 15 years old ROSIE dress rehearsals of STARLIGHT, SUDDENLY, Ans GENTLE BREEZE, That has ONE DAY attacted to it as a suggested video, ONE DAY, according to Lucy's Facebook Fan Page, ONE DAY is OK to watch no restrictions. and thanks for the react to one of Lucys most amazing songs, it is so prophetic, that ONE DAY Lucy would be so famous. side note Marth is now the same age as Lucy was then and had 8 songs recorded !!!

Lucy has a recording out there of her singing "Colours of the Wind" from Pocohontas at age 9 -- amazing when you can look back to her very early days..
If it's true that Lucy did not want this song listed, I truly do not understand why. It is absolutely lovely and magical! Thank you for reacting to it! When "Rosie" finally does come to the stage in London next year, I hope that Chris Broom (the creator of Rosie and founder of Cavendish Records with which Lucy is signed) will have a professional film crew to film it and put it on DVD. I live in Georgia, USA, and could not possibly be able to attend the performance. But I LOVE every song Lucy has performed from it thus far!
I'm guessing, but maybe the song will be sung by a younger performer when Rosie finally hits the West End - by which time Lucy will be 20 years old!
You will see that One Day is performed by a much younger Norah Thomas (possibly no relation) in the Rosie the Musical channel to support this contention. 😊

@@michaelhingley4770 Norah is NO relation to the Thomas family and she will sing the opening song in Rosie, there is a dress rehearsal video on You Tube under ROSIE the musical !!!
@@michaelhingley4770 , Chris Broom wrote and especially designed this musical a few years back specifically with the intent for Lucy’s performance of it, and has produced it in collaboration with her. Because of the Covid situation, it was unfortunately put on hold. I believe Mr. Broom will still make it work to have Lucy as its star and not take away this dream from her. They have a very close professional and friend relationship. I guess I can only wait to see while hoping and praying. I can’t imagine anyone else other than Lucy to play Rosie Boote.
Being the lovely girl she is she might not have wanted any comparison between herself and the younger girl who is now performing this song in Rosie

Just a small point - this is not a "cover". Lucy will be starring in "Rosie" when it opens in the West End next year.
raycornford, NOT a small point but a major as this is an ORIGINAL song for ROSIE and Lucy was the first to sing it !!! Little Norah Thomas, no relation, is the only other to sing it and she will sing it in Rosie as it is the opening song and the story of ROSIE BOOTE and obviously as an adult now lucy could not very well sing it !! Check out Norahs song for a child she is also very good,
Thank you guys for playing this first commercial recording Of Lucy and Now we can see what Chris Broom of Cavendish records saw in her the talent, the skill, the potential, and here we are 6 years later and she has 4 CD's out and about 60 songs. This song appears on her first album. Premier, and it , the video, can be only found as a suggested song after her song GENTLE BREEZE, otherwise all you can get is the sound. but do you see why we recommended this song so highly ??? By the way Lucy and Martha just this AM released their long awaited duet, it has been a year since THE CLIMB, the new duet is WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD and Martha has grown up she is almost 14 (nov 4 2023) near the same age Lucy was in this song and it is a "Different" setting, and you will see Martha OTHER love in the video, it is STUNNING to have two fantastic singers singing together, Thanks so much for playing this classic Lucy piece of history !! !
