Hi friends! It's Tracey! Today is a double feature! I will do my spending recap both the last week of Dec and the monthly spending wrap-up. Then it is time to use my Randomizer. I love when I get to cash stuff my sinking funds by using completed savings challenges! It has been so rewarding and motivating to me to use savings challenges to hold my money hostage until I can complete them. I used to sneak money out of sinking fund envelopes to help cover random things. Now I am determined to finish the savings challenges so I can bulk stuff them into my sinking funds. Have you tried using a Randomizer? It is such a fun way of letting a dice tell me where to put my money LOL. It was so fun to close out the year. Cheers to 2024!

Savings challenges are life. I totally understand it now. I too would just want to spend of i had money in an envelope but now with savings challenges, im actually delaying the gratification and it is super nice to see it build (even if most are for debt). Awesome job! You saved so much and now you have a plump binder again. Tou made a comment about not having enough money for an expense, but ehat you helped offset it. Thst is so so true. I think back to before i start budgeting and it is no wonder i kept going deeper. Those expenses just continue to build if you arent proactively budgeting for things

I know it’s too late for this year or too annoying to switch the order, but maybe next year if you do a similar system, you could put the 3, 4, of whatever number ones that come first in the year in the beginning, and roll a dice that matches the amount of categories you chose. Then roll the smaller number dice until you feel good about those and then roll the larger dice. I hope this makes sense. Awesome video and I love you!
Oh I absolutely could do that!!! There are a couple ways that come to mind to focus on specific sinking funds while utilizing. Random method! Love you friend!!!

I never understood why people do savings challenges seemed like a waste to me but when you explained it the way you did it makes perfect sense. I like how you say you can’t touch it till it’s done 🤯 😂
Our tax guy was amazing retired and sold his business we used the new owner one year and finding a new person this year she had no clue I did half her job after arguing with her did I pay any less of course not. We owed until she listened to me and then we got a small refund. To be clear I don’t know enough about taxes to chance doing myself but I knew a little more then her about some things
Yes! It honestly has worked so well for me for that reason! It’s not accessible 😂 Yes!!! Finding a good tax person is the hard and even harder when they no longer practice 😭 I hope we are able to find one that we like. I completely understand what you mean! Thanks friend!

Happy New Year 🎉. I'm just letting you know that at the start of adding to your sinking funds, you took out a card from 11, not 12. And you put money from clothes in your stat fair category instead of your clothes.
The cards get pull from the fronts of the card not the back & they match the dashboard. @22:38 car main is peanuts which Tracey pulled 😊, unless you're referring to a different timestamp at the beginning of SF stuffing
@27:25 state fair does get $5 instead of clothes.

Hey tracey! I use costco mostly for paper towels and toilet paper. I have also found that butter, coffee (I know not for you 😂) and creamer are better deals. We also get meat from Costco too. Wrens cards are super cute! Maybe your current tax folks know someone else? I love to ask for referrals from people in that field. Perfection at the end! Great video tracy 36:14 !
The letter we received literally said “we won’t be giving referrals”. It was crazy! We will find a new person though. You and I shop very similar at Costco! Minus the coffee 😂

How do you know that you will finish the challenge in time for your sinking fund before you need it 😊
I have a line item in my budget every paycheck to put towards savings challenges. If a sinking fund is getting close to the due date and I don’t have the full amount saved then I will use that savings challenge money heavily on a challenge or two to make sure they are completed so I can stuff it in my sinking funds. I always have the option to stuff directly into my sinking fund if needed or pull from other funds if absolutely necessary.
