I fasted with Loren's supervision by phone in an emergency situation so did not go there. I am near Toronto Canada.
My plan was to go 40 days but only made it to 37 at which time I was unable to even take a teaspoon of water so had to break it.. I believe it was the 13th day of refeeding that I finally had a movement but it was difficult due to hemroids. Absolutely terrible. It went on for 3 days. Unbelievable pain. I survived! As time went on and I regained strength I had confidence like never before and felt like I was 10 years old again; so full of energy.
Sadly I have yo-yoed and everytime I go back to conventional eating I become very ill with just about everything.
I did a 10 day fast a few years ago and just did another on my own. I started refeeding today and am hoping the eliminating goes without pain when it comes. If I was living a frugivorous lifestyle everyday then I would be confident I would be fine.

New subscriber. I had a cousin go thru the same issue, though she had not been fasting, and ended up in the ER where they did have to pull the poop out of her. She recounted the horror of it and I have never forgotten her story.It was, like yours, quite funny, but a serious thing.
I would think, however, after this first water fast and your change in diet, eating and juicing healthy foods, you would not have impacted poop again.

A few days ago I watched one of your videos and I was scared to see you so thin. Now I understand why you do it and all your suffering.
I hope you're okay, and that you start eating properly. Friend, regardless of ideologies, we are human and we are here to eat, chew. We don't need to kill animals, not the majority of the population, because there are some people who need to feed on other animal species.

I'm definitely going to make sure I take an enema bag with me. You also mentioned you'd fast again -- would you do it supervised, and at Tanglewood? Would Loren be fine with you doing enemas during the fast? Thank you again!
I will most likely be doing another fast this coming september at tanglewood. after doing a long fast, i feel safe and confident enough to do it on my own, however just to be in the enviroment surrounded and motivated by other people fasting is the main reason to go to tanglewood in my opinon. I would bring an enema bag if I were you. And if you feel like you need it, just do it. Loren will suggest to not do an enema. And I would too, if you dont need to do it. Most people are totally fine and i am probably a very very rare case that this happened too. Next time I will do an enema on day 5, and probably day 18 just to be safe.

That makes sense. I agree, being surrounded by others who are fasting and the peaceful natural setting alone are worth it, and we should give ourselves that if we can, as a part of our journey of reclaiming ourselves and our love for ourselves from all the damage and traumas we've unknowingly incurred from living in this insane culture. I can't wait to hear about your next experience.
Glad to know Loren would be OK with a mid-fast enema even as he doesn't really recommend it. I've never done an enema with oil mixed in though, only water. I was wondering if the oil would "interfere" with the body's fasting physiology or cause nausea or anything? Would it not absorb through the hemorrhoidal vein and then circulate through the body via the liver and be treated as a nutrient? I'm not sure myself ...

Interesting story - but I am baffled by the fact that tanglewood did not have enemas on site. A much needed life saving tool, that is not available at a „fasting facility“ .... very oddddd

They do not advocate enemas or colonics. They let you bring yours though.
They had them when I was there 5 years ago.

I still can’t get over the fact that a fasting center doesn’t have enema bags or Colema boards on site. Unnecessary and dangerous.
I’m so glad you’re ok but that could have resulted in some serious surgery all because of someone else’s opinion and belief on colon cleansing.
Lockman has fasted thousands of people for multi-week fasts without enemas. Same with Herbert Shelton. Almost certainly because they haven't found it to be a good idea.
It's not a legit place, people have died there before and Loren Lockman is extremely arrogant

Boringness is usually the toughest thing to deal with waterfasting
Even after my extended juice fast I used gentle laxative herbs as needed for about two weeks. They should have them at the center along with enema bags, IMO.
This is why it’s so important to clean out the colon properly and thoroughly BEFORE detoxing and fasting

I literally can't wrap my mind around just one thing: the biggest water fasting center in the US didn't have a single enema bag.
Listening to this story is like listening to a birth story. Women think they won't make it and can't take any more and they're never doing this again and then instant amnesia kicks in with the release of joy.

How much water did you drink during your refeeding process?
Hard dry fasting I had some hard matter 9nve after 9 days but an enema got out easy huge one lol such a relief
