@radicalbowling What would you recommend to resolve the problem with a ball that burns up too soon? Should I scuff the ball with a higher grit or polish it?

I thought you would want to ball up when you move more left? A stronger ball that can dig through the oil that's in the middle of the lane.

It depends if you need your ball to Rev up earlier from deep inside, or go longer and cleaner

@@tylerhernandez5207 all I have to say is if I am forced to play deep on the lane (anything left of board 17 or there about) and I'm on a house shot and I go to a pearl ball that usually ends up being over under for me, very hard to control, the ball skids through the oil and is retaining a lot of energy for a super sharp move to the pins and the only way to tame that reaction down is to add surface to that ball and even then it can still make a serious move. Personally, the only pearl balls that I like to use are short pin asymm's or weaker pearls where I can gunn it up the boards outside of the 10 board, you know fire it up in there 🔥🔥

Well not to move left just to move but because your line of play is changing to drier conditions or the house in general has a high friction surface and you have to play left with a weaker cleaner ball. In either scenario you want the same controllable motion like he said too much hook with a stronger ball even in the oil going left the ball will roll out and forward rather than a weaker ball which will retain that energy to create angle.

I have the outer limits original ball. I’ve had trouble getting back end reaction with it. Had it wet sanded to 1500 and now it’s gotten worse. Would having it polished give me a better back end

The original is a hybrid, correct?

@@jlewis1998 yes it is. Can’t tell if burning up in the heads or just dead ball. Thought the clean up would bring it back to life but it was very lazy reaction last week

I was going to say the same thing about it burning up energy. Hybrid balls don’t do well for me typically. I kept the polish on my TNT Infused and it over reacts which I can deal with. But I have the same issues as you with the Hazmat. I even took it down to 1000 and tried some hand and speed adjustments and it just would not react on the backend. I didn’t polish it because I already have several shiny symms. If I were you I would try maybe 1500 grit polished to see what happens. I would expect some kind of reaction off the end of the pattern with the shine.

@@jlewis1998 I’m going to stop in the pro shop before bowling, afraid to mess it up or make a drastic change on position night. But I avg 220 and I’m fighting to shoot 620 the last few weeks.

Going down on surface grit creates more surface and an earlier roll and much smoother curve. If you want more snap then go up in grit to create a smoother surface it will retain more energy and move harder off the dry.
