Personally I think this captures the "shitty rat person" vibes Terezi has perfectly. This is the same person who eats chalk, cosplays, and got someone to save her plush from an execution across time via continuity altering retcon powers just to mess with them

@@ubiquitouszergio4267 Unfortunately they have a very small budget, James is making the music purely out of the love for it and not getting paid, so it doesn't make sense to expect new music for everything.

@@ubiquitouszergio4267 the budget for music isn't for new music, you get paid a licensing fee to use a song you already wrote. so they don't pay me to make new music, they pay me a very small fee to use a song that i, or any of the other artists, would have already written. for the covers, since they usually arent my original song i don't get paid for them at all. i'm not going to spend a week on a new track for every character because i have to pay bills.
in vriska's case the author wanted that song and chose it themselves. i did terezi's on a volunteer basis because i already covered the song several years ago and just did some light work to mix it again for PQ. it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth to have someone who doesn't really know whats going on call us lazy when we work very hard to consistently give the fans new content for very little money. I'm not mad at you or offended or anything but in the future please think about the kind of language you use to describe things you are uninformed about.

I see a lot of people complaining that she's chubby but I don't understand why???? I actually got really happy because I happen to be chubby and she happens to be my favorite troll and my zodiac troll. So what if she's fat? Literally who cares. Please just enjoy the song.
I can't speak for the people who are just fatphobic for the sake of it, I don't think anybody can, but I feel like a good few people are just confused at the design change. I was pretty cool with Jane being chubby, but Terezi was usually drawn a lot thinner. Bear in mind that it's been quite a few years since 2016 and I haven't read homestuck in aaaages so I might be wrong about a few things.
@@abox6989 While I think there should be a little bit more to it than "Nice friendly girl who makes cake is fat," it just really doesn't make sense with Terezi. She has the weirdest fucking diet, and she is one of the most active trolls, and she was always presented as stick thin. I'm fat as shit, and I like to see representation, but I'm also a pretty big Terezi fan and this kind of feels like misrepresentation of her if that makes sense. It just seems like pandering, sort of like the June Egbert thing. Most of the post-canon content is just shitty fanfiction and it kind of makes me sad.

Every time she is drawn in the comic in either Hero Mode, Scribble Mode, Hussnasty Mode, or depicted by any guest artist she is drawn as hella skinny, and the only reason this is up for interpretation is because of the "Fat Vriska" meme from years ago. Terezi also plays a roleplay game that involves sword fighting, combat, acrobatics, legitimate actual life threatening danger, and let's not forget this scene: www.homestuck.com/story/2053 which would probably require physical activity, flexibility, and agility that most adult professional acrobats can only fucking DREAM of. And then again, it doesn't really fit her character. With everything she does and the fact that she is seen as the weird freaky justice obsessed crazy girl, combined with her being borderline malnourished and exercising to an almost unhealthy extent she wouldn't just be thin, she should be freakishly scrawny. Like, motherfuckin bony.
If you want to make make fan art or content that portrays Terezi as more representative of you or what you would like to see, go ahead. It will probably be good. I'd probably enjoy looking at it. But the point stands that adding fanmade headcanons that don't make any sense within the context of the source material to an OFFICIAL piece of content is dumb.
EDIT: Also this takes place before her Kismesitude with Gamzee, so she has never drank Faygo before. She wouldn't even have been able to get any, seeing as Gamzee's source of the shit is legit unknown and downright mysterious. No one even knows how Faygo got to Alternia, or how it's being mass-produced, and Terezi lives in a treehouse far from civilization so she probably couldn't buy it even if it was being sold.
I always kinda thought Terezi would be a bit chubby, even before pesterquest. For me Vriska is tall and lanky while Terezi is short and chubby. Basically completing each other.

i'm fine with terezi not being skinny as long as she's still acrobatic and fights well (I say this not having read Pesterquest and only the OG webcomic). some fat people are graceful af, plus alternians are strongly individualistic so she's gotta have good melee combat skills to survive

I should also add I don't think a troll gaining weight would physically affect them the same way it does humans (I a proponent of the insectoid-adjacent troll) and since they would have a carapace I doubt it would change that drastically. Mabye somewhat but not that drastically that late in their development.

Regarding the various discussions in the comments: Terezi has appeared with multiple different body types in official Homestuck media including stick thin. The point of showcasing multiple character interpretations in official media is to emphasize the fact that there is no "canon" body type for any of the characters. They're whatever you want them to be. Same with race.
I really wish the HS fandom would one day grow out of making arguments about this when Hussie settled it in 2011 already.

OPINION: I dont really find her as fat, more just average weight that is still in the healthy range. I appreciate it and I'm loving the Pesterquest game giving the 13 year old kids and trolls the body a 13 year old could have. I'm loving the body diversity coming from Pesterquest and I love the artist's interpretations of them.

I always saw her as the greasy slim type of nerd that is so invested in their hobby/obsession that they forget to eat. Then there's that whole red and firey theme she's got going sometimes. Plus, physically threatening puppets and throwing them out the window counts as physical activity, I think.
