and you haven't even gotten to young Phoebe Gill in the UK, who just turned 17 & ran a 1:57:86 800m and broke a long standing, 45 year old W U18 European record - not to mention hitting the Olympic qualifying standard. It's also currently joint 2nd fastest w's 800m time outdoors this season - just unreal running on her part!
Would make for an interesting video. An athlete to watch for sure.
1.57 as a 17 year old? Goddamnnn
Oh yes I watched that ! young lady kept on going at even pace ! unbelievable performance!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉.
Razorbacks four women under 50 for the first time.
For a person who is obsessed with how well the field run, not the person who crossed the line first, that race was a timeless poetry in motion.
I cannot wait to see an entire field under 50.
I also enjoy races more when more athletes run super fast.
Agree!
Watch the 200 for that....
To see a CONFERENCE championship run four women under 50, while seeing the previous two years world championship results not hit that kind of depth, is crazy. On top of that to have three of those four ladies come from one program...Take notes folks, Arkansas is doing something special.
what could it be? 🧪
@@dundukas7899 recruit the best from high schools.
@@dundukas7899
Top recruiting...
U see that one girl ran the second fastest.. the fastest ever time was ran By Britton Wilson also of Arkansas
lol sure
Such a shame for Jacious, she was well ahead and, if Brianna ran 10.91, Jacious would probably have been somewhere near her current World Lead. I hope it's just a minor cramp and she's back in shape soon.
number 3 ncaa all time! he is now a threat in the 200m with a group of sprinters on lyles tail. tebogo, Knighton, Bednarek, Lindsey, Hughes and now Orogot.
and that's not even mentioning the Reigning Olympic Champion Andre De Grasse, or sprinters with an insane finishing kick like Joseph Fahnbulleh.
@@MaxHumphreysMaxHumphreysthey always forget De Grasse hahahah😂
@@MaxHumphreysMaxHumphreys De Grasse has never run faster than 19.75 outside of the olympic games and Fahnbullah will run out of real estate competing against 19.6 and 19.7 guys.
Except Lyles gets injured, I don't see anyone beating him, dude ran the fastest ready split of the WAR but coz it's Lyles it's now more of a norm than a surprise. Then we have imo the best championship runner (Andre De Grasse) who never disappoints on the biggest stage. I think the 200m might just replace the 100m as the most exciting men shorts sprints event at the Olympics 😅
@@MaxHumphreysMaxHumphreysfor me degrass is not a treat anymore
My brother is Jabez Reeves he was D2 indoor national champion in the 200 meters this year. And he is indoor conference champ in the 60 meters and the 200 meters. He just became outdoor conference champ in the 60 meters and 200 meters. He ran a 20.33 in the 200. He’s on the same Olympic relay qualifying team in the 4x100 relay. Watch out for him because he’s coming up and yall better watch for him now.
is he on minnesota state? those boys are hella fast
Orogot was my highlight simply because he finally delivered a time that reflects his potential. But that also has a lot to do with the lane draw. He was in lane 7 and the guy in lane 8 always starts out the blocks like a bullet. I knew that there’s no way Orogot was not running sub 19.80. Let’s hope he runs sub 19.70 in the ncaa finals
Sears might need to work of relaxing a bit when she runs. Running too tense can cause cramps and other injuries. Her potential is still high, running 10.7s is elite
I think that she runs relaxed normally, check on her 10.77s. You cannot have such a top speed if you aren't running relaxed. It was her cramp that made her feel pain, that's why you saw that face expression.
Tarsis Orogot was so fast cause he had Sonic the Hedgehog socks on!
Bednerak's 19.67 was the highlight for me. Felt so bad for Jacious Sears, was looking for the showdown between her and Briana Lyston. Arkansas, going 1,2,3, in the women's 400m,all under 50 was shows the dedication of the athletes, and dam good coaching. Kudo's to Arkansas.
17 year old Phoebe Gill running 1:57.86 over 800m to break the European Under 18 record set 45 years ago by an East German by nearly 2 seconds. Her time has only ever been bettered by Chinese athlete Wang Yuan, who set the world U18 record at the Chinese National Championships in 1993. This was the meet where Chinese athletes coached my Ma Junren set 11 Asian records and 3 world records, before a rash of failed blood tests resulted in most of his athletes basically disappearing off the scene.
Favorite Race- Tarsis finally coming through with a big time of 19.75, hopefully he can finally break Dix's record of 19.69 at regionals or nationals
Least Favorite Race- Womens 100m since I was rooting for Sears and Lyston to race at 100% but Lyston had her hamstring strapped and we all know what happened to Sears :(... I know Sears would have run 10.7high I just had that feeling since her acceleration was starting to kick in the way it did at Tom Jones.
I agree. Look how far ahead she was before she pulled up. She's special
@TotalRunningProductions I have to send a big shout out to Tarsis Orogot, I believe he will put Uganda on the sprint scene. 🇺🇬 🇺🇬 🇺🇬. His hard work is starting to show for itself
Just love seeing these collegiate kids run, these kids are marvellous but its hard to and unfair to place so much expectations on them as they usually get burnt out by the time major championships come around, due to no fault of theirs but insane collegiate athletics calendar.
Really hyped for Tobi Amusan, who's had alot of difficulties recently with her starts and honestly feels like she's been slept on abit after last year's disappointments but coming back from her trademark terrible starts to win with a WL against a class field bodes well for her olympic season
A great recap of the latest sprint competitions!
Last year we had Britton Wilson and Adeleke dip under 50s but now to have 4 athletes do it is crazy! 😮
imagine the time of Sears if not injured in this race...
It was unfortunate that that the SEC women 100 had an injured Brianna Lyston entering the Finals and Jacious Sears getting injured in the race. I am hoping for both athletes to be fully fit at NCAA it will be a memorable showdown
We need to cover Sam Blaskowski!!! 🗣️
The SEC is absolutely insane! I love it!
Give it another month to six weeks and we will begin to see the top sprinters and middle distance runners begin to emerge, getting ready for the Olympic trials for their Countries. Obviously with a view to peak at the Olympics themselves. Some Countries, notably the USA, will require that peak fitness be almost there for the Trials, given how difficult it is to qualify. Unless things have changed, their selection criteria is ruthless and is simply: Ist 3 at the Trials get to represent USA at the Games. (Providing they also meet Olympic qualifying times/distances) Yes, there is a little degree of discretion to make cover for the Relay squads but otherwise it is straightforward. It was often said that, for the USA, it was more difficult to place top three at the USA trials than in the Olympic finals, at least for sprinting.
Note: Top athlete Sprinters that emerged two months ago are handicapping themselves. Holding top form for 5 months is almost impossible. I'm really looking forward to these Games. As TRP has said, the Olympic battles will be amazing! Cheers.
I hope Sears is doing well.
4:21
Gets me so pressed seeing people win races with atrocious form
Shit he had a good lead
You must hate Quincy Wilson then
ngl idk how these professional/collegiate runners still dont have their form, relaxation and lactic resistance mastered. like theres some stuff that average sprinters can do that these world class runners somehow dont pull off.
True just shows how important raw talent is in the sport of sprinting
Hmmm....guess they just have some raw talent.
I didnt even know these meets were going on, thanks for the updates!
Whoa!
is it legal to load up on CoQ10 and preworkout before these??
I was waiting for Tarsis to make a strong statement again 😤 👏🏽
Wow...Tobi Amusan is looking awesomely flawless...I will go ahead and give her the Paris gold medal...
Daaaannnnggg!!!
It's on
Hey Trp I saw that may 18 bednarek, coleman,Tebogo are clashing in the 100m is the la grand prix is that true?
Arkansas could field a heck of a 4X400 team. Gonna see some sub 49's pretty soon.
Kung Fu Kenny!!
❤Evolution🙌
Tarsis Orogot is not from Alabama, he’s from Uganda. 🇺🇬
Morales-Williams and Quincy Wilson have the same running form.
this man is not an Olympic medal threat!! cut the cap please lol!!!
Hold on now! It will take around 19 7 to get a medal in Paris.
@kennethwoods6525 Okay, and who does he beat for a medal? Please let me know if he beats a healthy Knighton, Kenny, Lindsey, Tebogo, Noah, Hughes, Degrasse, 😏 😉 🤔 they only giving out Three Medals at the Olympics right ? No Participation Trophys, lol 😆 at least not yet
@@ronester1 : 1. Zharnel Hughes may get the false start yips again. 2 DeGrasse will need to call on past glory. 3. The U.S. will eliminate one of its contenders and possibly burn out another just to make the team.. Tebogo may be called on to run the 4X400 just to get his team to the finals.
@kennethwoods6525 nah, it's too many people ahead of him, but he was awesome with this 19.75. Usa 🇺🇸 has too many vets that know how to peak at the right moment and the new comers that will light it up. Whoever makes it out the US will be in the Olympic 200m final and competitive for a medal. Throw in Tebogo, Degrasse that peaks for champs and Hughes that's already five six people 😳, no chance for a Medal 🏅 this year IMO
Morales form really breaks down in the final 100m insane that he has so much strength with sloppy form. He is going to be a problem with years to come as he cleans that up
Video on Henrik Larsson please!
Canadian record in the outdoor 400m there.
Samuel Ogazi from Alabama, 2nd in the 400m dash, is only 17 years old so you know‼️ 👀
Wait a MIN... Is that robert Gregory pulling UP? OH NOOOO. I was rooting for him and J.Sears this season. It will be devastating to lose them both before the olympic trials.
Wishing them a speedy recovery...
Congrats Tarsis. Way to FINALLY put it together & Big UPs to Denisha Page. She should be presented with the most improved athlete award - if there was one. She's gone from running high 23s to low 22s in 200m and has greatly improved her 100m times as well. Guess moving from Big10 to SEC does come with some perks..
no comment on the highschool 400 in georgia?
Knighton, Tebogo, and Lyles in the 200m let's go
There are at least two other contenders that you’re overlooking
Wow...that Jamaica flag...the only one of its kindest the stage for the whole video
qué manía con correr rápido
In future, please remember to note that tarsis orogot is also Ugandan. Uganda has never had a single medal in either the 100m or 200m. Please accord this to his country as well.
Is Jacious Sears seriously injured then? I was hoping to see her in the Olympics.
I will say thanks
"sprinting history" every week now
That a great PR. He won’t medal with that time in Paris 2024!
Time doesn't matter if it's not done on the same turf Paris turf gonna be way different from these
was born in Anguilla but lives in great Britain
The men’s 100m SEC finals
4 women under 50 in the same race -wow - and 44.05 collegiate 400m. stunning
American athletes are getting faster and faster, but their form seems to be getting worse....?
Wake me up when somebody dominates 3 olympics and breaks numerous world records, they're breaking 10 secs in the 100 mt, been done since 1963, 20 secs in the the 200 mt, been done in the 70's. Let me know when something interesting happens.
definitely the ACC 400m or 4x400
On the screen tarsis orogot time was 20:11
The screen time was .4+ off for all the races.
Casual
🤣🤣🤣 The chick from Arkansas ran 49.3 & didn’t even run through the line. The hell’s going on with these kids???
Are you not talking about Alisson dos Santos under 47 season opener?
Give him a chance jeez
Brou, Alison did one of best all time 400m hurdle and no love for him? 😂
I didn’t know that…thanks!
@@sergiogomes8035 Hi mate, for some reason, I assumed you were referring to the French athlete that broke the 400mH meet record at the SEC championship in the same competition. I apologise for the misinformation.
Yes, Alison Dos Santos ran a magnificent race. Cheers.
Let us know when someone beats Usain. Otherwise, forget it.
Orogot 🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬
Go Hughes!👏🔥
I think lane 5 faked a injury 😂
👀19.75
Has anyone heard what happened to Knighton?
What happened?

Last time I saw him he was at red bull racing racing cars
He’s ran a couple times this season. He’s prepping for Olympics
Definitely the womens 400m. 4 under 50 is wild!
like watching younger michael norman
keep our eyes on listin what are you on about the other girl was like a yard a head lol!!
Lyston is faster,so yes keep your eyes on lyston.
@@slimfit767clearly not
@@kc5466
IDK, Lyston is 2 1/2 years younger and better at the 60 and 200. Sears is only 0.10 better in the 100.
I'd call Lyston faster based on that.
@@efisgpr did they mention anything about the 60 or 200. Clearly now you see how ridiculous the comment was because you had to bring up other events to make your point.
I’ll play along. Abby Steiner is faster than Shelly Ann because she’s 10 years younger than Shelly and has a faster 200m and 400m.
So based on your logic Abby is faster than Shelly…right?
@@efisgpr anyone with eyes can see that Brianna is faster
Springy shoes!
And juice.
Yep they make an enormous impact over 200m and 400m especially. I've tested them myself and the benefit is hilarious.
Morales-Williams form sucks. Like an underhanded free throw but damn that boy is fast 🏃♂️
Why aren’t you talking about Mr Matthew Boling ? He is an up and coming young athlete from the US - you should check him out
Search back - he's had several videos devoted to him.
He’s not up and coming anymore
@@jayure1346 tbh he ran 44.98 in jamaica yesterday, becoming the 7th person in history to go sub 10, sub 20 and sub 45
The two comments above don’t understand sarcasm 😂😂😂
Every 20 - 30 years we see a real physical evolutionary advancement in young athletes. I mean really a noticeable inrease in ability. This may be the greatest women's 400 Meter race in history, no doubt! It's a great time to be a track fan! And I can't wait to see it all.
1:50.. funny numbers here..he let up at the finish..didn't sprint through..these numbers will be adjusted
Man, I really tried to watch the video but that soundtrack you used has a very high pitched noted constantly in the background, had to bail after a minute
🤔
Why aren’t you guys talking about Tranaurd Folson ?!! Dudes literally a sophomore who qualified for Olympic trials!!
jfc why they don't have good footage
My fav race so far was Kendal Williams getting the men’s 100m world lead with 9.93. The same track that the previous world lead was from by the high schooler. I don’t know what going on over in Clermont but they are always running fast on that track.
Meow
Morales-Williams rocked the 400
I’m not a 400 runner
Could he reduce his time a bit by working on his upper body form ? He seems to be twisting in his torso and also fighting a bit with his arm movement
Any thoughts ( and yes I know he’s world leading , just asking )
I was thinking that a little too, but clearly whatever he's doing is working. Maybe his coach is working with him on form though, and maybe he's got a sub-44 in him.
Williams' running style 😂 and yet he is so fast!
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "THE BLOCKS WEREN'T SET RIGHT?
THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO SET THE BLOCKS. LEFT FOOT, RIGHT FOOT, ONE FOOT FROM THE START LINE. WHETHER MORALES WILLIAMS GOT THE RECORD OR NOT, HE WOULD HAVE TO SET HIS BLOCKS IN ORDER FOR HIM TO START THE RACE. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?
They weren't electronic starting blocks that meet the standard for world records. Probably because no-one even remotely expected a world record run.
Has anyone covered phoebe gill, just turned seventeen running 1;57?
Williams will beat Steven Gardiner at the Olympics.
what about the new WL on 400m hurdles?
It was very gracious of Jacious to let Lyston win.
Please brianna went in the race being the injured 1 and didn't get her usual start as we know she is a better starter than Sears and faster 60m. And dispite that she still ran 10.91 lol look at that top end how she closeddown on the girl Sears was neck and neck with. Imagine if she was not injured 😂😂😂 the voting poll didn't even have Sears to win dispite WL. Go cry with your self and Sears.
First!

Hmmm.... all of these fast times happening all at once? Coincidence or.... ?
they are peaking
This happens every year in track. Either your new to track or you think that we’re still in April.
From now on every meet will register fast times. So be prepared.
No one can defeat Fred Curly Q!
Jacobs did.
I know the pros are still building towards peak performance but these collegiate athletes are making them look like chumps 🤣
And at the Olympics the pros will make them look like chumps. It happens every year.

It was in illegal wind.
I do t trust collegiate timings. That clocks said 20.11 first
The screen time is literally someone stopping the time. The actual time uses laser sensors that automatically registers the time.
Which one would you believe?
