Nah... Luka's been the best player so far. Only Giannis even has an argument. Dallas' Net Rating with vs without Luka on court is crazy. Luka will carry the Mavericks to a top 4 seed in a loaded Western Conference with a far less talented roster than those other candidates.

@@MrTreygo before the 2020 season, day to Davis had made the playoffs twice in his career: swept in the first round by GSW in 2015 and then 2018 sweeping the blazers before losing to GSW in 5 in the semi finals. So before he went to the lakers, 5 of his 7 seasons he didn’t play in the playoffs period and the 2 that he did he was gone by the second round. He had no experience playing 4 rounds of physical playoff basketball. The only reason he didn’t get hurt in the bubble was because the nba basically had an off-season in the middle of the season. He didn’t have to deal with the same fatigue in the bubble that he would of had in a normal April-June playoffs fool, he had a whole 4 extra months to rest and heal his body that he wouldn’t have had if that season had played out like every other season in nba history🤣 and no one’s using future knowledge because he was injury prone on the pelicans too, unless you just recently started watching the nba or sum

Hate to say it but there’s no way AD makes it through the season with only minor injuries. He will have a major injury at some point. Just the way it is, unfortunately. Will miss 20+ games at some point. Mark it down. Sad but true.

Bringing up the bubble season, didn’t they play 70 games? Before they had to stop the season? That season AD was pretty much fully healthy so I think saying oh he had 3 months off before the bubble yeah but he was just fine that year till they stopped at 70 games
AD had played 55 games when the shutdown happened in 2020.
They took 5 months off not 3 and that gave ADs soft a** time to get video games out of his system and prepare for the playoffs.

It's just this *era. Has nothing to do with Lebron. If you're looking for someone to blame, then blame the Spurs when they used to rest Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli when they were perfectly fine. That's were everything stimed from and probably why a big reason Kawhi is the way he is with taking so many games off. Tbh, I think Kawhi is just milking his basketball career. We all seen great basketball players career get cut short because they actually played even through injuries. If a team going to offer you a max contract for you to sit on the bench and play when you feel like it, then why not lol. Who wouldn't sign up for that deal. At this rate Kawhi might be able to play (or not play depending on how you look at) until he's 45 on max contracts because his body isn't taking nearly as much of a toll.
