If your clearly ready to kick ( you've done your paces and are standing still aiming) but begin adjusting your body to line up that counts as starting your approach, peace x

The kicker had already taken a step towards the ball and then prepared again so Peter Stringer was perfectly allowed to charge the ball or in this case pick it up because it was a conversion
