- Part 1 of 2. I create a new Redbubble store from the ground up. In this pilot episode we look at creating and branding our new store before moving on to upload my very first design!
I go into detail into my methods of optimising this design within the upload process. Giving some advise as I go. Hopefully this shows you the importance of attention to detail necessary for any design you upload to redbubble.
Make sure you check out Part 2 here -- • Part 2 - Creating a Re... For details on how I did my tagging, title and description for this design.
This store is to help me promote and market under the RoguePixel brand, and while doing this, helping you to better harness your skills in your Redbubble journey!

I love how professional, dedicated and classy you are, thanks for the videos!!
Thank you so much for these two videos and for the entire series on Redbubble. You're a hero.
My pleasure :)
the timing 💕 these are gonna be so helpful for me. I just started at the end of August. I hope to post 100 designs before the end of the year. I am doing this as a part-time thing but would love to see if I am capable of doing art related business as a full-time career while I am in college
Great design. I'm into 80s designs to. It was such a tubaler decade.
Love that isometric Techno design. Also, great tip about creating a vertical version of designs for things like phones cases 👍
Thank you! 🙌
thank you sooo much for uploading completed series
The thing with choosing optimized is that new users (unknown to the algorithm) may see your designs on stuff like shower curtains, and besides, I believe that something like a t-shirt is great for displaying the design (sometimes I go with stickers as well). In any case, I am far from decided regarding which way I want to go... perhaps one could try one month with optimized and another with optimized and see if it changes anything. Oh and another thing. Perhaps it would be smart to focus on creating some great designs for more unpopular products such as duffle bags and Jigsaw puzzle... less competition. Another thing I've been thinking about is like focusing hard on masks considering the risk that the pandemic will last. Great video btw! That hardcover hack was cool.
Please, do yourself a favour and throw some energy at masks. My mask sales are paying my bills this month. Yeah, some experimentation is needed in whether to let redbubble optimize or not. A shop can look neater if you just select your main default item. Trial and error! 👍
@@RoguePixel I sure will! Masks are the product to focus hard on now. And regarding the "neatness factor" it is precisely what I've been thinking. You'll not want a shop with a crazy variation of products, I way prefer one main product and perhaps throwing in a few stickers and mask defaults.
thank you I am just getting started today and this was a help getting my head in the game.I am using canva to just make text. my art came out huge on the items and did not even show up on the t shirts. Looking forward to learning from lesson 2. All the best neal sw fla
Thank you for this really helpful video
Your designs are lovely, Martine.
Excellent walkthrough complete with good tips for varying based on products.
I love your channel and just subscribed !!❤
I'm glad I found this video I was told about this app and I was told it was good but I was also told it was crap so I'm a bit excited to be able to find this video
Found lot of value in the video. I have subscribed and clicked the bell. FYI, the video is not clear enough to read along, but maybe that is intended, or not. :-) Many Thanks for the guidance.
Awesome. Appreciate the walk through. Thx
Thank you...Wonderful, comprehensive video...
Martine,I've always wondered what is your name,Thank you soooo much for this:*
My pleasure :) I always forget to say my name 🤦♀️
Redbubble suggests using a size of 7632 x 6480 to cover most products. Have you tried that since making this video. And the extra large prints are 9144 x 6096, so I'm wondering why not just design in that size?
@roguepixel For the mug I found out that there's a rectangle shape in the middle but if You use the lines on the side it tends to be in the middle of the side view.
I've been selling a lot of masks lately as well, especially from my Wales + England collection :)
I liked the video before even watchin!!!!
why thank you 🤣😂
@@RoguePixel same
Good vid thanks. I dabbled with Zazzle a few years ago, but the paperwork was horrendous! Especially the W8ben form.
I’m thinking of trying RedBubble soon, do People from the U.K. have to fill out a w8ben or something similar on there too? 😬
No, thank goodness!
@@RoguePixel Praise the lord! Lol!! That is good to know, thank you!!!
Mam which app r u using for design।
Love ur shop । How we can start journey without suspended
Hey dear i request you to pls start a series of illustrator teaching i want to learn from u
Default product will work on every product or for this particular product
Hi,
At 2:35, the screen showing in the video is my point of confusion !! Which one is good to go for beginners like me... 'create products' or 'setup shop'. I am waiting for your guiding response to my query. And another query is, how to treat redbubble as a business? What all steps one should take to establish it as a business.
I don't understand, but my cover is not loading. The size is 2400 x 600, but does not appear in the profile. Tell me who had this, how to fix it?
I have a problem 8 already posted my two stikers on my redbubble shop but when I go to my shop its emty I don't know how help please
Hello Martine, hope you're well. You mention exporting designs as png at 300 dpi (so we have a transparent background). In my case, where I am designing greeting cards, postcards and posters - so some of my designs already have a background colour, then I assume, I export as png but no transparent, as the background colour is already part of my design. Am I correct? Apologies if this is a silly question, I am just a total newbie when to comes to RedBubble (but very much excited by the potential of RB). Thank you for your straight-forward vids- really appreciate it.
Apologies, this is rather unrelated but I wonder if you might be able to recommend a decent office chair? There are so many out there that I’m rather paralysed by choice haha.. by the way, I really like your style - keep up the good work!
Recommend away!
@ RoguePixel what is the difference between a Banner, Avatar and a Logo if they are all different, do I have to make my Banner around my Logo, I dont want to make a Logo if all I need is a Banner and a Avatar?
I have a Q what software should I use to create designs ??
Hi Martine, thanks for your great content!
I have 2 question, i will be happy if you answer me.
1- Do i have to use like my Facebook add to shopify if i work with printful? some people said, selling on these kind of stores will be so hard, as people wont put their credit cards, or wallet details easily on unknown shop.
2- With Redbubble model, i make the ads on Facebook and linked directly to my Redbubble shop or there is another way?
Thank you dear.
Hi Martine, great videos, could you answer one question pls? if your design is on multiple products do you have to go through descriptions, tags etc for each product. Cheers J
Hi Jim, not at all! You only add the title & tags once, no matter how many products you enable :)
good video :)
p.s. the good stuff ;d
Thank you for this very useful and clear and simple video!
Thanks to you I decided to start my little adventure on redbubble, but I need some advice please: I would like to start creating products with simple text (and therefore transparency), with Canva. You suggest 300dpi but Canva produces pngs with transparency only at 96dpi. How do you suggest to do please?
There are other free programs you can try like inkscape and gimp that will give you a lot more flexibility than Canva. 96dpi is very low, so you won't be able to enable larger products without a massive drop in quality 👍
@@RoguePixel Will Canva let you do the 300dpi if you get the CanvaPro? I tried to look it up myself but can't find the answer. Love your videos! Currently binging all of them.
@@sayit-sayit thank you Norah! 🙌 I really cant be sure, as I have zero experience with Canva. Is there a trial version of pro you could try out?
@@RoguePixel I'm going to try the pro for a month. Free trial, thankfully.
@@sayit-sayit Update? How did it go with the dpi on Canva Pro? Do you recommend the Pro version?
nice, what pixel image do I need to add?
What print on demand company do you use please? I'm looking to get some items made with my paintings on and most seem to be USA and I'm UK x
Ok how do confirm email i mean i clicked resend email and went to the email but idk what what to do next
i cant even use this site because the email confirmation link they sent to me isnt cliackable. so i cant even go forth. what can i do?
Hi
I have a store on redbuble 50 design
But I don't get any sale .
How can i find trend ideas
Do you watermark your designs? I heard there are many art thieves out there that blatantly steal designs from Redbubble, etc, ...my question is if you watermark your designs, will it effect the quality of the product or the sale rate? Because watermark is disruptive in my opinion, but on the other hand we need to protect our original designs, sigh, this is a dilemma:(
Hi Martine, can you tell me if people who live in the U.K. have to set up shop on the “U.K. RedBubble” website, or can they set up shop on the main RedBubble website? I thought the whole point of an international store was to sell internationally? 😬
Hi Dee :)
There is no country specific Redbubble, only Redbubble.com. Hope that helps!
@@RoguePixel Thanks, good to know! I’m just in the process of creating an account and there’s a box about being registered for vat & gst. Do you know if we’re meant to tick it? I haven’t got a clue! Lol
@@deeleerambles I can't remember off the top of my head, but you only need to worry about vat if you're a company that has registered for vat in the UK. But please don't take my word as gospel, have a look into tax issues surrounding POD to be safe 👍
@@RoguePixel Thanks Martine!
