    I've been waiting for 20 years for a player to highlight the consistency of the "one plane swing" Mo Norman was one of, if not the best ball striker that ever lived, it's great to see Bryson DeChambeau win with this swing.

      Pretty much the same setup with straight line along shaft to arms. Interesting to see club plane through swing comparison but obviously would be pretty similar!

    When Tiger and Greg Norman were on top they both said they were the best drivers of the golf ball ergo Bryson has a very bright future. And he can putt. Probably number 1 within a year.

    love this guy... the drive of a long drive champ, the accuracy of Moe Norman, and a short game that is turning out to be-uh-deadlayyyyy.... he has rebuilt himself... bigger, stronger, faster, better...

      Not quite any of what you said, except his short game is solid. Long drive champs get any 30 mph more ball speed and Moe Norman like never missed fairways. Bryson set a record for most fairways missed while winning a major. Obviously it didn't matter but definitely not Moe Norman accurate.

      I am looking forward to a whole crop of new tour players using the single plane swing. Things could get very interesting. Start them young and watch what happens. Combine single plane with single length clubs and the game changes as we are witnessing. Single plane and single length, what a combo!

      @Tony probably was at some point in the off season but when there is testing in a league you can't use that much anyways. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if most players use performance enhancers. Any player over 30 not using at least hgh is stupid. Remember performance enhancing drugs aren't only limited to anabolic steroids used for bulking up. Look at Tour de France guys they all use ped's but it's mostly endurance based stuff

    Power took over in baseball, tennis, even ping pong, everything I can think of hitting a ball with a stick. Surprised this kind of jump was still attainable in golf, but then look at the long drive guys. Now becoming even more a "crush it, find it, wedge it" game for the pros.

      Do you think they should start making the rough tougher for the pros to hit it out of now ? Just got into golf 4-5 years ago but I've seen people say that back in the day, the rough use to be high and thick to where you really only can just pop it out back into the fairway.

      @@anthonio96 Yeah, could use the US Open approach of impossible rough. Or maybe narrower fairways, which is a lot tougher to do on established courses than letting the rough grow. But let's face it, where did all other stick and ball sports go? What will American fans want, intricately dissected holes demanding shorter precision, or crushing it 350 yards and chipping to the hole? I think we both know.

    Bryson has taken my philosophy on golf to a whole new level, stronger/bigger = better.. I'm definitely nowhere near his level. But, I've been golfing for 5 years now and have been under a 5 HCP the past 2 years (my GHIN is 2204571, for you doubters). I'm also very much into powerlifting, and have seen my ball striking improve drastically with that.
    Granted, I do not carry my driver 350..only 300 lol
    Biggest difference is Bryson weighs 60 lbs more than I do, I'm sitting 6'3 180lbs...initially I just wanted to get stronger in my lifting and NOT bigger..Bryson has me rethinking this lol

    Not the most graceful golf swing. I hope he doesn't tear his back up throughout his career because he is fun to watch. I've been impressed with his putting, he's improved tremendously

      @@mattbecham8795 Yea but there's no flex, there's no bend in his spine. That's the whole purpose of the traditional reverse C posture, to balance out the tension so it's not centered on the lower back

      @@tonyh1718 That's why the reverse "C" follow through was so effective for so long, it evenly distributes the tension of the swing through the length of the spine and preserves the lower back. The modern swing has more of a straightened back through follow through, open hips and less engagement of the lower body. You're gonna have any entire generation of guys who suffer serious back injuries and lead leg ACL tears too, because some try to shift all their weight to the lead leg through impact, like Buba Watson does. Mark my words, injuries will have an impact on the game like never before

      @@davidthomas7032 No, because at the moment the tech is allowing him to negate the course features, penalties and strategy.
      So the idea being that he still retains an advantage from his extra length but is still required to contend with the course.
      At the moment he's just bombing it over EVERYTHING... the R&A know this will make courses obsolete at the tour level and will soon become boring for fans real quick...

      I love what Bryson is doing and always admired his unique swing but I honestly dont see him winning any majors until he gets his short game a little more dialed in. His putting was awesome this week tho.

    idk i really wanna see him get tested for roids. hes added 20 yards to his average distance, and somewhere close to 2'' around his chest in muscle. he really doesnt look like the same person. i think it would have a severe impact on golf if they tested people.
