The 2004 Red Sox story was so magical that even Hollywood would reject the script for it because it'd be too unrealistic for the audience to believe. Best night of my life.
Truly majestic
Ha! But they kinda did. Fever Pitch
They literally had to change the script of Fever pitch because of the win 😂
You could say the same for the white Sox a year later! Unbelievable run, both our teams broke out curses back to back
"The Braves! Are World Champions!" Joe Buck's final words during a baseball game on FOX
As a Braves fan, I didn’t even know what he said over my screaming. I’d waited long enough, all my emotions drowned out Joe Buck.
My dad literally broke down in tears and just kept muttering “The curse is broken… the curse is broken…”
(Referring to the Olympic curse ofc)
@@SteampunkSavage Wow, I didn’t know that was a thing.
He lets the moment flesh out, can’t get mad at him for not wanting to ruin the moment
I’m Glad It Was My Atlanta Braves
“The Cubs Win the World Series” are words no one thought they’d ever hear.
From 2014-2021, the final out happened on the losing team’s home field.
Giants won all three on the road.
Interesting because 2014 was also the last time an NHL team won the Stanley cup at home
@@bobbybalter135621 and 23
@@bobbybalter1356 at least the nba has home championship wins that do not occur once every 7 seasons.
I definitely remember the Blackhawks winning on their home ice in 2015.
Being 10 years old seeing the Red Sox win the World Series was something I’ll never forget. The 2004 season for the Sox was truly something historic and will be remembered forever
And now you're as insufferable as Yankees fans once were, full circle I guess.
As a Yankees fan living in New Bedford, I'll never forget. Thanks Curt Schilling for making my first year of high school a Nightmare
Too bad you weren't older, it's hard to appreciate those sorts of things until you're at least in high school. I was 18 and saw 4 rings by the time i was 32. My grandfather didn't see one until he was 82. Insane.
And the Patriots won that year too!
It was truly amazing
Just here for 2004. 2007, 2013 and 2018 were special in their own right but nothing will top that 2004 BACK TO FOULKE feeling.
Definitely
That 3-0 comeback vs the yanks is the most magical part!
I was always amused when they ended up playing the Sinatra version of "New York, New York" for the Marlins winning in 2003.
They did because the series was over.
Same thing happened after 2004 ALCS Game 7.
The Cubs winning the World Series is the only Joe Buck call in which he sounds like he actually cares what's going on.
that and when Randy Moss pretended to moon the crowd at Lambeau
Also the Minneapolis Miracle.
And mark Maguires 62 hr.
Doesn't matter how many more World Series titles the Red Sox win in my lifetime, NOTHING will ever top 2004. 2013 was special in its own right, but '04 was downright magical.
The 2022 one sounds odd without Joe Buck
FR
In 20 years when Joe Davis has done this longer, it'll sound normal.
You’re right, it sounds better

My boy Ben back to back. Zobrist in KC and Chicago. Forever a hero.
I had a VHS tape on which I recorded the final three outs of the World Series each year from 1986-1991. My streak ended when I was working and missed the end of the ‘92 series. It bothered me so much I didn’t bother in ‘93 and when the strike ended the 1994 season I never really went back to watching baseball.
THE HOUSTON ASTROS.....WORLD CHAMPIONS. BEST WORDS EVER SPOKEN!!
6:38 and at that precise moment the city of Boston, and the United States as a whole, overcame a tragic act of violence that killed 3 and critically injured hundreds more. The city of Boston found a way to unite and move on past the pain and suffering that the Tsarnaev brothers worked so hard to inflict yet inevitably failed with this very pitch. The 2013 WS truly was Boston Strong
RIP to the 3 that died
And yet some people hate the current City Connect jerseys because they don't understand the connection.
@@martyklestadt6766i understand the connection but there is no denying the fact that they are hideous.
@@randomcub922 You're of course entitled to your opinion, but many people do not consider those uniforms to be hideous at all.

19 years later, and the call from 2004 still gives me goosebumps.

@@camionerosfurgoneros5915because they didn’t finish the job the previous year
since Joe Buck couldn't get excited, I highly recommend everyone to look up Harry Kalas's call of the '08 final out
That's easily the highest resolution clip of the 2005 final out Ive ever seen.
AS a Yakees fan, I started the video happy, the got sad, then got sadder, then skipped to 2009 and I had a smile on my face
7:48 Truly a once in a lifetime experience
No. The CUBS win was literally the once in a lifetime experience lol
2022 World Series is my favorite.
Thats gotta be the most unbelievable experience to watch your team win at home
I was at Minute Maid for game 6 in 2022, top 5 moment of my life for sure
@@jeffbezos1079it’s a shame the astros reputation is forever tainted. Considering they should’ve been banned from baseball, anything they achieve from that point forward comes with an asterisk
@@Connor-tw3uu that very well could be the most stupid statement I have ever heard, that’s like saying that anything the white Sox did after the black Sox scandal doesn’t count, the Astros haven’t cheated since half way through the 2018 season, and they are still dominating, so do everyone a favor and shut your mouth

The Braves winning the World Series was easily one of the best nights of my life. Man I got so drunk and partied all night 😭
One of the best nights of my life too, except when the Astros won it all

@@jjparks9263 bro is still on about the cheating scandal that occurred 6 years ago. I was waiting for a comment to reply to me since I know when someone mentions the Astros all I hear is “cheaters”. Get over it, also basically all of the staff and most of the players are no longer on the Astros from 2017. And that cheating scandal only occurred for like 4 months until they stopped and realized that they were already good without cheating.
@@jjparks9263 tell me, did they cheat in 2022?

The Royals 2015 comeback is incredible.
Watching the camera quality slowly get better is funny
You can have alot of categories (best home run to win, best stikeout, etc) but the greatest basehit in WS history will forever be luis gonzalez base hit to beat the yankees in Arizona. What a base hit
Only reason it wasn't a soft, routine lineout is the infield was in. maybe I'm a bit biased but I kinda think Edgar Renteria's base hit to end the 97 World Series is prettier and more legit. Gene Larkin's hit in 91 was basically a sacrifice fly that the outfielder quit on so I kinda feel similar to that one. But either way, the strategy of each situation means they were all legit game winners. I just think Renteria's hit would have been a hit at any point in the game. And it looked cool coming off the bat too.
And I truly wish Joe Torre had played things at double play depth for Gonzalez. Jeter would have had it no problem and somebody would have needed to get a 2-out hit or it would have gone to extra innings.
Yes my favorite final “out” of the World Series lol
It took down the 3x defending World Champions.
man those even year Giants truly bring me back. but I will never forget that team of destiny 2016 Cubs knocked SF and LA on their way to that chip.
I mean as a giants fan I’ll take those rings
@@Diehardbucsfan agreed, especially with the type of roster we had besides posey and the elite pitching unit
As soon as the Cubs beat the Giants in the 2016 playoffs, I knew the Cubs were the team of destiny that year.
Every baseball fan knew that in the 2010’s, the Giants were an unkillable team whenever they made the playoffs. If the Cubs didn’t beat the Giants, there’s be too much momentum and even-year magic that the Giants would’ve won it all again
2016 was a magical October. The two cursed teams meeting in the WS, going all 7, extra innings and a rain delay before the 10th started. That was an amazing season
Rip Joe Buck, you’re the best announcer to talk on FOX😔😭
He’s still alive
Nah Joe davis
He means he retired as a fox announcer
That was fun to watch!!😊
Rewatching the 2008 Phillies win brought tears to my eyes. That was one of my first ever great sports memories and it was with my dad and brother. My dad went out super early the next morning and got us World Series champions t shirts. Love you dad
If the Yankees would have won the world series in 2001 it would have been the emotional win for baseball and new york due to 9/11
2021 was sweet for two reasons:
1. The Braves won
2. The Braves beat the Astros
Stories say that home run that Soler hit still hasn't landed.

As a Mariners fan I am watching this and wondering when it will be our turn
Our M's have never lost a world series game--who would want to risk spoiling that perfect record?
Crazy how in the last 20 years the two greatest sports curses ended and that doesn't include the Giants who waited 56 years to win another World Series or White Sox winning for the first time in 88 years.
The Giants had a “curse” too but it wasn’t as publicized as the Red Sox, White Sox, and Cubs “curses”…look up the Curse of Coogan’s Bluff
Can’t forget the Nationals and Astros winning one too

4:21 what a lifeless call by Joe Buck
I mean phily was up 3-1 in the series and leading in the 9th inning, you knew they were 99.9% certain to win the series already way before that final pitch
i mean either way, our announcers now have more emotion for a homerun than joe buck for a world series
