Which uses less CPU power while animating, high res model baked into low res model (like in game characters) or low/medium res model smoothened with subdivision surface?

Hi there! By any chance is there possibly a way to copy a rig skeleton from a model to another model instead? basically duplicating a rigged skeleton.
You can just delete the mesh, bind the joints to another mesh. But they have to have the same proportions
Can you make similar controllers for your characters pack? (heel rotate, toe rotate etc.) I really need them!
