- CORRECTION: It was the TOURNAMENT EDITION that came with the ArcadeStick that I have two of, not Kollector's Edition. Also, to clarify, anytime I say "MK1", I'm talking about the original game from 1992. Their naming convention for the new game just adds confusion.

Dusting off MK9 playing through the game as Mileena and Kitana in the TAG TOWER. Nothing too special, just chatting about MK in general. I go on auto-pilot a lot so you'll see a lot of the same combos throughout, but it was fun times. Played on the Hori Commander fight pad with 6 face buttons that I use on 2p in my KI videos. Normally I play MK on stick, but it's kind of loud when trying to record commentary. I play overhand with an alternate button layout where BLOCK is in the middle like the original games.

love how detail oriented you are with fighting games, a man of my own heart but waaaay more thorough.
Tag Kombat is so underrated, shame it never came back in MKX, MK11 or the new MK1

I played mk9 for the first time 6 months ago, I thought this game would be hard to learn so avoided it all these years lol I discovered I’m most definitely an mk player the execution and combo strings are easy to learn and so much fun once you get the hang of it. I loved the nostalgic look and feel of mk9, pretty much all the iconic moments from mk1-3 are all gloriously recreated here 😊🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽✅✅

I was playing this on my vita. I never really played tag, but because of mk1, I've been dabbling with it.
Oh wow, I completely forgot about the Vita version. Never got one, but this and Wipeout 2048 would have been in my collection for sure.
@GlaciusXL the vita is a savior ever since I think I tugged on something in my ps3 I shouldn't have tugged on while cleaning it. Mk9 is my favorite ps3 game. My vita serves me well, even though my x button craps out on me. It becomes challenging to win never using x most of the time.

Young man, I was watching a video of you on killers instincts 2, which version of the game did you use to have the training mode ?
That's the version on XboxOne that was part of the KI3 Season 1 DLC I believe. It's been almost 10 years now but basically it's a digital version that was NOT sold as a stand alone game unfortunately. It's a great version though.

Love MK 9, but I have always disliked the introduction of X ray attacks.
Oh really? I really liked them in this game. What was it about it that you didn't like? The look of it? The Damage output? The fight interruption? The fact that it's carried on for the next 3 games?
