I love the idea of Shang Tsung being master schemer behind everything. Especially when played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
He truly is the greatest in this game
I personally adore Rambo’s ending. Because when you think about from first blood’s version of the character, then you can see him saying no to rewriting history.
The simple fact that spawn is in it and he's voiced by the OG Keith David makes Mk11 my all time favorite.
That fact isn’t the only simple thing around here.

I was halfway through watching the MKX video when the notification for this video came up and I thought excellent as I saw earlier today while watching previous videos that MK11 hadn’t been done and like a gift from the gods here it is. Thank you Don Critic as I only found your channel earlier today so I subscribed (hence why I got the notification) as I’ve enjoyed your videos. I know all this stuff and lore about the Mortal Kombat franchise as I’ve been a fan since 1992 but I’m so hyped for Mortal Kombat One I’m watching loads of Mortal Kombat videos on CZcams. Can’t wait to see your Mortal Kombat One video around October time

My favourite Mortal Kombat game so far I loved the choices of character outfits and the 3 gear customisations (wasn’t bothered about picking certain moves and glad that’s not returning for MK One) which hopefully is all gonna return for MK One. My 2 favourite characters Shao Kahn and Noob Saibot were in the game with new designs making them look better than ever especially Noob Saibot. Shao Kahn’s default design (just with blue colour instead of red and a different helmet) with the spikes on his left forearm and the talon like claws for fingernails looks amazing and I hope they keep that for General Shao in MK One, shame Noob Saibot won’t be returning as Bi-Han is Sub-Zero (fingers crossed for Kombat Pack 2 or 3) as that would make all my favourite 5 characters playable for first time since Armageddon, Shao Kahn/General Shao, Noob Saibot (if in Kombat Pack 2/3/4), Rain, Ermac and human Smoke (Human Smoke is much better than Cyber Smoke)
Those are some great features, I got my fingers crossed for you mate 🤞
I liked the choosing moves feature. It allows you to customize the character more and add additions to kombos
This story has some major issues (Sindel’s sudden change, Kronika’s plan, and the time travel stuff) but for the most part it was pretty cool and the gameplay was at least fun. Good video bud :)
It was just a way for them to reset everything so even if it had issue. I’d rather have already dealt with them, that way moving moving forward it’s built upon the lessons they’ve learned.
Every Mortal Kombat story has issues.
I agree completely.
A lot of MK11 had story moments and/or arcs that were incredibly frustrating and inconsistent. Geras bouncing back and forth between being unstoppable and being useless.
Sindel suddenly taking Shao Kahns side and claiming she killed Jerrard completely undos her entire character arc and reason for being in the cannon...
But I had fun, and I constantly kept saying "Man, this is great." throughout the entire game.
So I guess it's not so bad after all.
Breakaways and fatal blows were pretty lame imo. Played a lot of ranked and those were the 2 game play mechanics holding it back.
@@misterkeys2893it’s a fun story, but at the same time, it’s weird seeing Kitana being able to beat Shao Kahn, but Liu Kang not being able to lol
It’s also funny being able to fight Jax as Jax, but his future self not being affected by the damage the younger self does, even though every other future character is affected by the past one’s injuries.
The final Mortal Kombat game takes place in alternate timeline. What a ride that was!
Crazy thing is, in this new canon since MK9, Liu Kang gets his arse handed to him by Shao Kahn, even though Kitana was able to beat him lol
1:56 I like the feel of this one a lot. I think it's because it is slower and makes me feel like I'm playing as a kid again. Though the story is a mixed bag, some of the most koolest kostumes are locked behind a stupid drip feed, or you have to grind it out in the kombat league. It's not exactly the best way to go about extras, but the game is solid.

Absolutely adore this game, MKX is still my personal favorite, but the designs of the characters are top notch especially Shang Tsung and Liu Kang

Installed MKXL after reading this comment and forgot how much fun it was. I think that was the peak of gameplay in the entire series for me. I just wish it had more combatants.

This was the first MK game i took seriously and contioudly played ranked on. I was hyped for this game since day 1, remember that i mained Jade since the beta (too bad other noob jade players are toxic and gave her a bad rep)
I didnt mind the slower pace, but i hated that the breakaways punished you for getting a combo off. The story was interesting but a bit dull, couldve done more with certain characters, but that was partially fixed with aftermath. This game seriously needed an update for krypt as well. Other than that it remains one of my favorite MK games.
The mad man did it. He completed the saga.
Btw you excited for mk1? They still haven't showed Scorpion interactions with other characters, so he's gonna play a pivotal role in the story.
We reached the end! Yeah I can’t wait for MK1, I’ve been playing Sub Zero and Kenshi in the Beta, it’s very cool, I like the slightly faster gameplay than MK11 and the air kombat

I don’t think I’ll be covering the stories on their own, the idea with these Explained videos is to fit the lore, narrative and the gameplay side all into one expansive video. There are already a ton of channels that cover just lore in these games, I wouldn’t want to tread on anyone’s toes by regurgitating that similar content 😄

The story & gear customization is mixed(especially with all the retcons & lack of certain characters), but the gameplay is excellent & the voice acting is top-notch.

Very good question, according to NetherRealm Studios, he was part of Shao Kahn’s guard when he was emperor

I loved the gameplay, guest characters, fatalities, stages, the custom variations and the characters banter. I did NOT like how they treated Sindel, the fact that the default forms of some of the characters were their stupid revenants, the Call of Duty style storyline, the Krypt, the endings, Sonya's entire altered moveset, and the fact they took away the run button. This was also the last MK Game I spent real money on, just to get everything. And the Switch port didn't look too bad, but HOLY CRAP did they drop the ball on MK1.
This series is awesome. Now that your done with mortal kombat at least for now. I still think your content can expand to other games. Great format will continue to see your channel grow
I love Mk11 and I honestly believe despite some issues, it is one of the best MK games ever.

I really liked mortal kombat 11 it was really good game and how fly my favorite part of the story had to be with sub zero quai liang and hanzo hassasi scorpion team up which is really awesome and tons of fun at least in my opinion.

Although there were heavy retcons applied to some characters and to the narrative the game is still a good time. My only complaints are the grind and the cutscenes were far too long sometimes, it didn't feel as balanced as MK9 or MKX or even the Injustice games. But man, I'm EXCITED for MK1.
I love the Art Style, Color Palette and overall Aesthetic of MK11. Reminds me so much of MK3 in the old games. Never cared much for the look of MKX, as if Gore and Gritty means muted colors. Nature is Vibrant & Violent, and so is MK11. I love almost all of the visual character redesigns.
I will say the story has some problems. Plus I like Sonya & Cassie Voice Actors from 10. Especially Cassie's done by Ashly Burch. The character has much more personality. But that's just my opinion.

i watched every MK video in this series! Im just sorry how this game despise of been truly amazing will be remebered by the many gameplay problems NRS had the chance to solve but abandoned the project too early, so much potencial was lost here, yet i love this game and i will always remember it for the good things it did =)

I had no idea there was a Switch version of 11, no wonder they doing a Switch version for MK1 too, I mean the Switch is starving for fighting games so I see why they did it.
But yeah I think my only problem with the game is how they messed with Sindel's lore, can't tell you how pissed I am at that change, also honestly I wished they brought back EVERY character of the Reboot era, make this game the Ultimate MK3/Armageddon of the Reboot series, including making Seerena, Li-mei, and Kintaro who only gotten story appearances but never playable
I must be one of the only people to like the Sindel switch. It wasn't well executed but her being evil was fine
whether you like the switch up or not, at least we can all admit the execution was poorly and i mean poorly executed
I don’t usually mind characters switching sides and all but considering Sindel has already been used as a “brainwashed” villain it seemed like a weaker take. Especially her relationship with Kitana.
I think this game gets more shit than it deserves… I love it played over 600hrs. I’d say that at least idk 100hrs I’ve spent going thru every character making two variations both fully customized with matching gear for fav skins. The presentation and cinematic is def the best part better in a way than mk1 imo. I think the gameplay is fun too though I’d agree not the best of new era games. Nice video!

I think the customizations of characters was overload like MKX Had it right with 3 outfits and 3 various styles or add ons i just think for how weak Konica is it doesnt offer the replay value of a MK 9s ladder and boss battles
