People are quick to forget that Boston went through sports hell for a long time before getting here. The Pats always sucked, the Red Sox need no explanation, and the Bruins always came up short in the playoffs in heartbreaking fashion. Only the Celtics had sustained success throughout the 70s and 80s.
WelcomeToBoston seems like Atlanta has taken boston spot.. no team can do anything right down there..but i have a good feeling the sports gods owe that city something just like us up here in Boston.. we are spoiled but we deserve this after what our city has been threw prior t this century

We just got lucky that a 6th round QB was the GOAT, and some random guy from Minnesota turned out to be a Red Sox hero
1991 was the closest that they came, when the Minnesota N. Stars lost the Stanley Cup to the Penguins. (But the Pens had Super Mario, so the Stars had no chance anyway.)
What’s crazy is that the run isn’t over. The Patriots are back in the Super Bowl. Red Sox and Celtics are loaded. The only team I’m not so sure about is the Bruins but even they are pretty good.
With the Patriots incredible SB run, the Red Sox didn't do too bad either, winning 3 World Championships in 9 years , that's dynasty stuff right there. They get overshadowed by the Pats, but their accomplishment was amazing.

Assuming you are a Tampa sports fan, we have a lot to look forward too. The lightning are the most dominant Hockey team in the league right now who are favored heavily to win it all. The Bucs seem to be moving in the right direction with the recent new coaching hires. And the Rays can be a suprising wild card team next year with all the young talented prospects they have.

I’m a diehard bears fan and we haven’t won a super bowl since 1985 but we still have the most hall of famers and have arguably the best player in football, the bulls ruled the 90s and have arguably the greatest player in basketball, the Hawks won 3 Stanley cups in 5 years, the Sox and cubs are a tough one but Chicago has had plenty of success but not enough as Boston. You guys are spoiled and I’m jealous.
