- Back again with more Noob vs Pro Scrap Mechanic! Today Kosmo and I are using the ROPES mod to try our hand out at mountain climbing! Unfortunately our skills might be sub par as this starts bad and ends worse!

Seems like a very fun idea but due to the glitchy nature of the ropes it will send you in the wrong direction beacase scrap mecanic physics
scrapman made a slingshot using the ropes mod and more ropes mod (maybe as an R&D series )

You would need to have something to stop the plane from moveing then retract the rope then move the thing blocking the plane from launching
I feel like this series should be called “Pros and Kans”

Kan, the falling race isn't a bad idea! You start at sky-box, and you try to avoid obstacles as you try to reach the ground!
Yep, one stabilizer glitch and then movement thrusters. The challenge could be building each others courses?

Idea for next week: A race with vehicles that slide on ski's made of the Ice Block (with a drag reducer).
Build Limits:
- No Wheels allowed
- Use a drag reducer to increase chaos
-Wing parts may be used for stability and steering(thruster steering is fine)
- 16 × 16 MAX
- 2 thruster limit in each direction
- No glitches... obviously.

I know how to fix it, the ropes are pulling it the static position you set but due to scrap mechanic physics bearings don't like to detach so they over confiscate and just bug out, so to fix it you need a free floating bearing that can be ajusted when you give it rotation

Rope mod 10/10 no issues.
I think part of the problem is when the winch pulls itself too close to the place where it is attached. It glitches out because you’re applying force and there’s nothing to move. I don’t know how you would fix that though because you would have to drive over the attachment point to cross corners

I know you've sworn of ropes, but I recall you loved the boat challenge. Might be possible to combine water and rope mods for a fishing challenge. Any rope glitches are the fish trying to get away.

I think you and kosmo should create a channel called " Kanmoto " and upload your perspective and kosmos perspective in one video.
Actually a fall down race is an interesting idea, build a course from the top of the skybox with multiple vertical drops, the task would be to build vehicle either able to land on all 4's every time, or with a fancy flipping mechanism.
The ropes mod was never real stable, seems like its even more unstable now.

Maybe you could do a cargo truck challenge where you have to go around pick up balls from spawners and deliver them back to the garage for the finish
I spend 2 hours making a giant trebuchet. I attached a rope to the top of the arm and shot it at an engine powered rotating beam to act as a cranking mechanism to pull the arm down. As soon as I took it off the built lift, the whole thing just popped out of existence. Like Goku using instant transmission in Dragonball Abridged.

I have like a really bad idea for the next video, kosmo and you, build a half of a vehicle each (with dedicated controls each half) you weld it and try to race or something. New hard Noob and Pro challenge.
Kan did this 5 years earlier in mm, but he deleted the video, and it was with scrap man and not kosmo

I love this video don't test anything I love it.
I think the cause of the ropes glitching was the massive piece of concrete glitching out more than the ropes. We saw in the Monorail episode that that big single piece started having collision issues.
A new idea: The falling race (as you jokingly said)
You have a parcour of falling stages (like several obstacles in the way: comparible to a dropper map in like minecraft or sth)
But so you don´t just build a big heavy block you still need to drive a bit to make it a race.
So you need to drive from fall to fall as fast as possible around many curves etc (let your creativity run wild there)
And when you don´t fall into the designated area you need to redo the fall.
so that you do have to make it fall precise (for example using the wings mod or something that will maybe help)
I think that could be fun to play AND watch because there will be the competition of winning but also still the chance of returning when you miss a fall because there are several and you may be able to catch up in the race part.
I hope you like the idea and didn´t already do something similar :)

Do a ropes mod battle where you try and attach to someone else and fling them as far as possible.
Challenge suggestion;
Precise landing, use the wing mod to make control surfaces but none Lieftink surface you Will need to be able to land on an 8*8 area, for the Lauch you need to make your OWN plane to drop it from like a bomber plane.
I would like to see monkey bar Challenge or the wall climbing challenge. 🐲✌👍😁

If you want to give the rope mod a third chance:
Maybe you could try to do a spiderman challenge with the ropes.
Like swing across a ceiling, it should work since you're not gonna reel yourself in towards the ceiling and glitch out. Just anchor to the ceiling, swing forward and anchor the second rope, then let go of the first one and swing forward again. It could be a variant of the monkey-bars challenge.

Ropes could be an alternative to downward thrust to wall climb if you put the rope launchers on an alternating timer like when you use spud guns yeah? downward facing rope launchers on the bottom of your vehicle maybe four would be enough? Alternating rapid fire just to keep you stuck to the wall and release in time for you to drive forward. I understand ropes mod is kinda broken now, but i feel like it could be doable. I wish I were better at building so i could confirm this on my own lol

Hey kAN, maybe you could build the vehicles and have 1 or 2 rounds and then upgrade/improve your vehicles together for another 1 or 2 rounds. Basically having an indepth conversation on what to do on each vehicle could be interesting to see (?).
I think not showing the vehicle before the challenge could work, so that the other player (and their viewer) sees the vehicle for the first time when its already in position for the challenge. Like a real drag race, where you dont know what surprises your opponent has until the race is over. You could discuss/improve after the round has finished.
This might make the entire discussion and upgrade of the vehicles inbetween rounds more interesting. These discussions could become very important with survival mode, as many of viewers, including myself, could learn how to problem solve their designs by seeing how you two work together on yours.

If someones made super magnet mods that attract and repel a challenge with them could be fun. Imagine trying to run a race when the car behind you suddenly pulls you backwards or one passing you suddenly pushes you so the side or pulls you toward them. Put saw blades on the sides and you can damage the other car if you attract them close enough. If it doesn't exist someone needs to make that mod.
There is a magnet mod, it exists.

Use ONLY Ropes and 1 seat tires and a engine ofcourse to build a vehicle :]
I think it would have been funny if you made a walker, with he feet having the ropes lauch from the bottom and just walk up the wall, spider-man style.
if your vehicle had been rear wheel drive only the ropes would have had an easier time pulling you up walls. The friction from your front wheels not moving was almost as strong as the rope pulling you up. Maybe?
