Recently I went to the state of Washington to visit Seattle to look for the under belly of the city and I found it when I found drug infested - Aurora Avenue, exploring the West Coast of America where I engaged in interviews with both prostitutes and pimps. This documentary aims to provide a deeper understanding of their lives and experiences.

It's actually chicken vs the egg in this debate. Most of these women on the streets ran nice incall locations prior to SESTA/FOSTA. To have protection on the streets, you need a pimp and the pimps also deal drugs. Part of the deal of them getting protection is to initiate with some drug use.
Bottom line, the "rescue" crowd that brought down Backpage drove these women into the streets and caused these things. Don't blame sex work.

She does look older, though it's not through the drug itself always. Most times (especially with h/fent) its the s*it they lace the drugs with, which destroy the body's of the users. Pure, clean h or fent doesn't even really "destroy" the body, sure it still gets you addicted and stuff but to the body, these opiates generally don't destroy the organs, veins etc its all the other stuff that it gets laced with on the black market.
Sure, other drugs like crack/meth can be REALLY bad for the body when consumed, but with opiates in my opinion you could do a lot to combat the negative effects for the body.

I would assume many of them have seen/heard of their biological mothers using drugs and selling their bodies to survive, going to jail, dying young. They feel traumatised from being abused, or feel neglected by their maternal (or paternal) figures and some cooked part of their compartmentalising and rationalisation probably goes “I could pimp them better than guys before me would’ve, I’ll be better to them” or “one day I really will take them off the street or pay for their rehab so they can raise their kids proper. I just gotta keep using them for this work until I have enough money.”
