We need more of these videos. Not everyone wants an all white room.
White spaces reminds me of a hospital room
@@missysanz9078 I think white walls make a space look incomplete or under-designed.
THANK YOU! I am SO sick of white rooms. I never really liked it. Or the white - gray - black - wood floor formula.
I don’t want want eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to to be like that lol lol lol I just
@@missysanz9078 I love puerile everything we eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww we
finally! I am so over white walls or all-white homes.
Live in the dungeons then.
@@NerdNest0 lol cupcakelover why you commenting everywhere. are you scared of dark rooms?
True . But You can add a wallcovering on 1 wall n colourful cushions n tapestry n beautiful paintings or works of art to make the home warm.or family pictures.for that matter .
@@NerdNest0 Idiotic comment
Actually dark spaces look really chic and timeless with hint of gold
21 yrs ago, I painted a paneled dining/lounge/den combo in flat black but left the Mid-Century honey-gold colored stained wood crown & trim. People thought I was nuts until they saw it, & jars hit the floor. I spent considerable times studying the light in the room. It was beautiful by day, even more stunning at night. When I decided to downsize, it sold before it ever hit the market. I miss it & can't wait to work with dark colors on my next personal project.
You won’t be able sell your next house then. Most people like light bright airy spacious rooms.
@@NerdNest0 Perhaps that's still so in some less-populated, modest or mass-built housing markets. Neverthless, I've been involved in interior design, flipping & staging homes for over 35 yrs--long before HGTV & before either term was commonplace. The longest I've ever had a home sit on the market before going under contract in any real estate market or economy was 7 days except for one home in a very "iffy" neighborhood that I bought & flipped only as a favor for a friend who lived directly in front of the previously long-neglected home, & if memory serves me correctly, even that one was under contract within 3 weeks, & that was right after 9/11. Good design & taste sell, regardless of current trends, & you might want to re-visit your "spacious rooms" belief, as we're seeing a trend away from wide-open concepts to more defined but flexible, multi-purpose spaces.

Honestly, dark walls are just my favorite, period, big windows, small windows, whatever. And it's perfect for any room in which that is what you want to experience.
Then live in a dungeon. It is completely dark.
Cupcakelover, let people like things 🙄
i like the variation, but jet black seems a little over done, though, IMHO. maybe dark blues, reds, grays, or greens, but black?
Dark colours really work with a room with minimal natural light. My lounge is dark blue walls, skirting, doors and ceiling. When I bought the house it was builders white and I had to have the lights on most days.
This!!! People always think white for low light rooms, but it can look so dirty. I think people forget about photo editing with white paint. What you see online isn’t always what you get. Dark colors can actually receded and make things look bigger too.
@@mysticfox1563 Right! Those blown out over exposed photos online hide all the shadows that are everywhere in low light, white rooms.
This comment thread is so counterintuitive, but you all made some great points that I've never seen mentioned before. I have a living space that doesn't get as much light as I'd hoped and I was a bit depressed at the thought that everything had to be white. I've taken a screenshot so I can refer back to this when choosing my paint colours.
All of these are such great examples of using dark colors on walls. And that headboard along with those beautiful fuchsia lamps added such bright pops of color to that bedroom. And the home theater was so genius. The way the room was designed with that staggered effect and the lighting was so creative. I also love how big and beautiful that bathroom was. And the first home that was shown that's in Montreal looked so lavish. These were all really well thought out and designed homes. And that piece of art on the wall with the woman wearing the blue headscarf is so striking.
There is nothing like dark rich beautiful coloured rooms, my favourite 🖤💚
Black has its recognition !😍 Black is the go to for drama, contrasts neutral and complimentary colors . Black has always been equal to white in harmony. Yippee🥳 Black is beautiful just as we said.
Love the dark treatments.
i absolutely adore dark undertones and my ideal design theme would be dark industrial chic accompanied by those brick walls
one of the rare videos where i dont mind the ad, it's done tastefully
Love the black Venetian plaster behind the featured LG kitchen.
I immediately hit like before she even spoke. I love dark moody rooms.
Just redid my very tiny bathroom in black and it looks amazing
It is important to feel at a realtor, I strive to create a universal language that reflects the style of interior designers have helped me create apartments worth living.
looks way better than white walls x1000
Love the LG oven and fridge. Air fry in the oven great!!
Me too
I love Cynthia Ferguson 🤩
Love all the dark rooms,fabulous!!!!!
She “dared” me…that’s all the excuse I need! 😁
I’m going for my dark room that everyone around me thought I was crazy to do…watch this space!
More content like this please 🌈 🌚 Something other than white and beige.
Love black dining room and black bathroom
I love white walls but it's not practical for people with kids and also for where I come from in Nairobi, this is the most relatable and practical colour palette🙌🏽
Out of this world Hermoso
I dig it, all of it!
Bring on colour rainbow 🌈 traditional house where each room has its own mood 😊 can still mix modern & traditional pieces of furniture - so very over the everything the same ( & open so you can’t get away from looking at your kitchen 🤷🏻♀️) = bored 😑 soon & endless
redecorating to the next trend = no thank you 🙏 express & delight yourself in your home 🏡
That bathroom.....whole other level.
❤ them all
Spectacular!
Love this, so many great ideas! Mixing the dark with the light is what makes a house a home to me!
I have several dark walls in my house and I love them! I have lots windows with tons of light coming in. I also have light gray flooring. My house looks bigger than most of my neighbors who have all brown tones everywhere- cabinets, flooring, granite, furnishings, etc.
All stunning👏🏻💕
Do dark wood panels next!
My magic girl REIKO! I was a little worried about you, now I see where you've been, congrats. Things on this channel have not been the same. It is me, your biggest fanboy, aka, Apollo of Veii.
I love color but I never thought about black paint the first thing come to mind is to dark but there home look awesome I remember them so well it was the dark paint.
Todo excelente
You know what they say "Once you go black, you need a lot of primer to change it back."
I just painted my room an almost black (Carbonized by SW) and I’m having a hard time finding inspiration! Grateful I found this channel. New sub here ❤️
LOVE this. I have a dark (Benjamin Moore Racoon Fur) powder room - walls, trim and ceiling all painted the same colour + it looks fantastic. Where can I find the Raffia Lamp? That is super fun.
Please give some interior color recommendations for the palette light green, blue and meduim turquoise. Also terracotta as a kichen accent paint color. Thank you
THANK YOU! I am SO SICK OF WHITE rooms. I never really liked it. Or the white - gray - black - wood floor formula - that’s not design. It’s a formula. Give me some rich, intimate, deep and interesting rooms any day!
I'm so tired of white and pale pale grey from front door to back. 99% of the time, the space looks unfinished and under-decorated. Give me dark, rich colors any day of the week and I'm a happy guy. Thank you.
I'm in the process of wall paper stripping and have considered a dark grey blue. However I've not seen pics of the rooms at night time. I'll be getting samples just to see how it is anyway though
I wish on these videos artworks would be identified for viewers to see choices.
Those home cinema chairs look horribly uncomfortable
Dark coloured walls work well in these large homes .. for most of us a room coated in black or dark walls from floor to ceiling would feel oppressive...
Turns out it's an add for appliances.
Batman gives this video a thumbs up 🦇
First time is see Airfry in an oven.
Is you have a bathroom with little natural light, can you do dark walls? You still want to be able to do makeup and not feel claustrophobic.
Make sure you have good lighting installed to do your makeup with and you will be okay. Search “dark powder room” for ideas on what colors would be good.
The bathroom was nice the other ones looks like was made by random interior designer
I could see dark walls in a museum.
Could these new fool designers learn how to use pattern, line and color in all shades and values. This polarized liminal stark patternless hueless approach to design is very very very very tired and incredibly boring. Mid century modern is now a very sick trite cliche. Hotel lobbies, airports, big box department stores and prison intake areas are fine this way, but not homes. How about abandoning the "tasteful" and end this era of drab lifeless corporate conformity in interiors that actually depresses people? The design industry could use a major dose of full imagination and real individual talent. I have not bought a book or magazine on interiors in years because there are absolutely no interesting concepts being presented lately. Dreamiest? Please help us, it is a nightmare that coud bore a person into a coma.
THE APPLIANCES WAS A WAS OF TIME
Why are American ovens so ugly?
Too trendy and dark.
Trendy? Not at all. It's a look. All white is a look as well and far more trendy.
@@Person-mh6xq What the F are u talkibg about? White has always been super timeless and classic. I have always been using white which never goes out of style. Black? Are you kidding me? Black and dark colors gets stale and out of style very easily. You dont know anything about interior designs. These days people start using a lot of dark and moody colors but these colors will go out of stlyle soon. White has never been just one color. There are variations of shades and colors of white and White is far from being trendy because it has been always timless and never gets stale unlike really dark colors. Dark color walls won't work in most houses anyway unless you have a huge house.
Cupcakelover, dark walls can look great in small rooms as well. Total myth that you need a big space or lots of light to pull off dark colors. People don’t realize that white can actually look dingy without enough light. As for if it’s timeless, it is :) just look back to craftsman and Victorian color palettes.
