CHEAP IKEA Bed Frame. A Nice Surprise!

- In this review, we'll be a taking a look at IKEA's cheapest bed frame. I found the Slattum to be a nice surprise as I thought it was pretty fairly priced to what you get. Don't get me wrong, the bed frame still has some cheap materials like recycled polyester as the upholstery. But that's to be expected so IKEA can keep the price down. The headboard of the Slattum is padded so you can lean your head on it. It's a thin layer though so you might feel some discomfort on the back of your head after sometime. One thing I noticed with this headboard is that it's not really stable so if you purchase it, you should expect it to move back and forth. As for the overall stability of this cheap bed frame, you can also expect some movement from side to side as it's held up by thin steel legs. But I didn't really see any issues with the middle section as it's composed of a normal IKEA wooden slatted bed base that is held together by plastics hooks at each end of the bed frame. I also noticed that some people might have problems putting the bed together as in my situation, the threads didn't properly align with the screws. But overall, I'm quite pleased with the bed frame other than the small issues.

I just purchased this bed frame . I like it , not bad at all for price point. These days it's all about budgeting.

I don't get the design. it's slatted at the sides and solid in the middle, so wouldn't you feel the bar if you slept in the center of the bed?
