I have the exact opposite experience with tufjord 180x200, bought a week ago from IKEA Munich - extremely noisy, can hear from next room. - middle of the bed is not sturdy even though there's a metal support there. When you roll, It feels like sinking a good few. - the drawers are not the same height and some sewing folds are too thick even on the lowest setting. So it grinds to the top fabric. I had to iron them down. - some if not most wood screw holes were literally 0.5 size smaller than the screws, I had to use so much elbow grease to fix them. - did some extracurricular testing, literally the sound is so bad It felt like clown roleplay.
I have the tufjord without drawers. That's the only version available here in India. It was a pain to build because the headboard segments wouldn't align. I had to sit on them to get the last few mm aligned. The slats creaked for the first month and one or two fell out a couple of times because there's some room to move. I placed a 10mm wide dowel rod from my garden supplies on the middle metal rail and that closed the gap between the two sets of slats. They haven't fallen out since. The creaking has also stopped and it's now a really comfortable bed. I even like the wraparound headboard because it blocks light on my face. In retrospect I'm glad I didn't get the version with drawers. Blocking the nightstand is a deal breaker. IKEA makes underbed slide-in drawers in black colour. I have four of them below. They slide in deep enough to not be visible, don't get blocked by the nightstand, and the bed retains its airy elevated elegance.
When I sleep the bed slides is falling down. It is not even able to take the weight of a single person. Very defective and badly designed product like all other IKEA beds. The IKEA customer support is also pathetic. They are totally untrained to provide any customer support. I would not recommend this product. These delicate wooden planks are stapled with a ribbon not at all durable.

Does this need a box spring? Did you use an ikea mattress or one from another store?
I have one of those, you don’t need a box spring due to the bouncy wood slats that come with the bed.

Sorry to hear that! However I've had this bed frame for about a year and have not experienced any issues with the durability or construction.
