The aunt a full grown adult witnessed the murder of a minor, helped dispose of the body, lied to the investigators about it and she only got probation? How is that justice? She's an accessory to murder. It is beyond disgusting that she got to go free.
It's not uncommon for women to get lighter sentences than men for the same crimes.

Her brother’s voice still trembling while talking about the incident years after she died tells so much about how nobody could EVER move on from such horrible death of a family member.
NEVER! It is something so incomprehensible, that it's hard to actually imagine how that would be, and what that would feel like. You will ALWAYS have a void in your heart/life, and you will always think about what could've been. Everything will remind you of the person. Smells, places, pictures, words, etc. You learn how to live without the person in your life, but you will never completely forget. Thoughts will come and go. Some flee, while others will drive you crazy with the obsessive compulsive cycle of constantly going over certain scenarios in your head. One positive tho is that instead of only praying to God for support, you can also pray to your lost loved one.

The aunt only got probation?? Wow. She helped carry a dead body, toss it in a river and threw out the clothes. Yet no jail time. Unbelievable.
Something tells me if she was a man she'd have been held equally accountable as Paxton. (Being a complicit accomplice in the murder of a kid...)

That teacher that saw him grabbing her by the hair and dragging down the hallway, told them to 'knock it off' and referred to it as a ''lovers quarrel' is absolutely disgusting in that nonchalant dismissal of the violent act. I want to throw up. I hope that occasion has haunted them and made them rethink that attitude.
This was in 1986. Domestic Violence was usually conveniently ignored. No one want to acknowledge it. Even today over half of the states don't consider it as DV if it doesn't involve a married couple. Neighbors heard my mom and stepfather arguing constantly even telling me they'd seen bruises. When did they tell me this? At my mom's funeral. My stepfather killed her. That was in 1987.

I mean, animals don't instinctively like me. But I think it's because I'm an animal lover. And they can sense that. I think they're afraid I'll snuggle em and never let em go or something. But I usually win them over eventually. My bird Pandora loves me. I know because she stopped biting me. 😅

I just don't understand how first degree murderers are ever eligible for parole. They chose to END someone's life. They should be behind bars for the rest of their lives.
I agree.. and then there are people who are given 100 years with no eligibility for parole for things like evading arrest, possession, etc. Crazy world we live in.

Paxton’s aunt should have been charged with accessory to murder after the fact. Giving her probation was a joke.
Also: obstruction; failure to report a crime; desecration of a corpse; failing to save her life when she was still breathing; etc.

I did an inmate search for the state this happened in (Ohio) and I was happy to see that, as of today, 8-14-2023, (Warren) Paxton Brown is STILL listed as "incarcerated." Good. And good for Robyn's family who fought for her when she was missing and who continue to fight for her today. 💔

I don't believe Paxton has changed but even if he had he should still pay for his taking of a life with the rest of his life locked up in prison.

My cousin Chelsea Johnson was found in a creek bed slit ear to ear at 15 years old and it's still unsolved. Seeing her body was something I will never forget

It's because she's a woman. Women serve much less jail time than men, and are less likely to face trial. (She was clearly Paxton's enabler -- he knew he could do what he wanted and she'd fix it.)
People get out of prison sometimes 5 years after a murder it’s twisted!
That letter he wrote to EWU is fascinating. Twisted psychopathic monsters like this have an eerie capacity to mimic human empathy given enough time and focus, but despite the forced sophisticated language and sentence structure, you can sense the lack of true remorse through its choice of words and phrases such as: “opportunity to share”, “explain my achievements”, “terrible decision”, done very professionally”, and “upset the victims…connected to this tragedy.” All of this reveals glimpses into a dark and dangerous imposter of a man who wants to convince you it was just a foolish and impulsive child who understands the horrors it’s committed, learned it’s lessons, been rehabilitated and no longer poses a threat to others.

This monster hasn’t learned anything other than how to be an even better liar and manipulator. I bet it watches this video and reads these comments as soon as it’s allowed to do so. Why it would be allowed to do so, I have no clue, but clearly it’s permitted enough freedom and connectivity in prison to recognize the power of social media platforms that didn’t exist when it desecrated and murdered a defenseless little girl. If ever released from prison, it would absolutely kill again.

That's not true. He clearly said it's frowned upon by the Parole Board for inmates to participate in stuff like this.
@AshAniyah1125 The point is,: the fact that the parole board is his concern shows how little he's changed. He should be looking to do what's RIGHT, not what's good for the board.
His statement should have been something like, "I'm declining to participate because I do not want to further hurt the family any further," instead of, "I don't want to participate because I don't want the parole board to look down on me."
It just signals that he cares more about himself than he does his victim and their family

I know i speak for a lot of older brothers out there when i say i would die for my little sister. The idea of having to identify her body is crushing and i wish nothing but the best for her family.
I don't think I could stop myself from throwing my life away to end the life of someone who murdered one of my baby sisters. Maybe I'd allow Jesus to give me the strength to do so, but I honestly think I would ignore him and kill the murderer.

The aunt looks as blank as Paxton does. The fact that his family was afraid of Paxton was a huge red flag. Paxton's family should have tried desperately to keep him away from girls and gotten him help. He was a ticking time bomb. His family is just as guilty for covering for him too. Sounds like Paxton's family were as grimy as he is.
Also the teacher who witnessed him DRAGGING HER DOWN THE HALLWAY BY HER HAIR and chalked it up to a “lover’s quarrel”

It actually boiled my blood when Paxton called the house asking for Robyn even though he already knew exactly where she was. My heart sincerely goes out to Rick and his family. I hope Paxton rots in hell.

How a grown woman can witness a little girl in this state and be anything less than horrified and angry, is beyond me.
There is obviously something wrong with her as well.
I know what Rick means when he says telling his mom that her daughter has died. My wife and I were separated for some time but she didn’t want a divorce. We had talked for the first time in about a year about two weeks before she died. She told me she was going to her moms for Christmas but after she wanted to come home. I told her that we would see what Christmas brings. Next thing I knew a homicide detective from Miami called me to say that she was found dead in a car. Calling her mother was the hardest thing I had done at that point in my life. In the end her mother and I have remained in contact since she passed away 6 years ago. I know that she is happy about that we talk about Amber and laugh about the crazy things she would do. In a way we’re keeping her alive and still making people smile and laugh the only way she would want it.

I think that's the best thing you can do. My best friend Jose passed away a few months ago & it still hits my heart so deep at times of realizing the depths of how indefinitene it all is...the only thing that helps is thinking Of the times we spent together & , reading messages bw us that still make me laugh. If Paxton truly accepts all responsibility for this tragedy, he wouldn’t be playing politics trying to get released on parole. The fact that he was “only a 15 year old boy” changes nothing. If anything, using that as a defense only shows how little he really cares. For the sake of Robyn’s family I hope he’s never released.

Paxton hasn't changed at all, just by the fact he's trying to push for his own needs and happiness over justice for her family. I'm sure 37 years in prison is hell. So is being brutally murdered (and whatever else he did). This was not a crime by a confused or abused child. This was a crime by a dangerous, manipulative mind that will never change.
Paxton's website and "apology" are pathetic, hollow and self serving. I hope not one single person signed his petition and I hope he never gets out.

Lesson learnt from this, no matter how good your intentions are to try help someone. Having kindness and a caring heart, can get you killed. I stay away from people that are rebellious and have anger issues as their negativity can effect you physically and mentally.
Being willing to help should also mean listening to your instincts and taking common sense precautions. Sadly this young girl took on a huge task to rehabilitate a criminal and the adults failed her. The teacher who stopped the abuse in the hallway failed miserably. Charlene should've had a stint in jail and Jimmy should've got probation. Someone should've looked into the fact that this young girl was showing signs of being in over her head, likely because of the manipulation and abuse. Hope the killer stays behind bars a bit longer where he can continue to improve his education.

We tend to think the crimes of the present day are the most heinous, but evil and severe mental sickness don’t care what decade or century it is. Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I remember kids vanishing all the time without a trace.
In the US alone, over 460,000 children are reported missing every year, according to the fbi.
Can we just apriciate the fact that not only EWU is showing us what happened but also teaching us. I had understood a lot of things ever since I've begin to watch this channel ❤
The fact that the family has to devote their life to keeping their family member's murderer in prison is disgusting. They shouldn't have to relive this tragedy over and over again to keep a cold blooded killer behind bars.
Even if I thought he was a changed man who had killed my sister... I would still be waiting outside the prison doors if he was released..
I felt the same way about the man who murdered my grandfather... and I know I am lucky he died in prison... I never had to follow thru on my threats... and so never had to face the law if I did.
I am glad he will never get out. He committed premeditated murder at 15. No compassion for him, only Robyn and her family. Fortunately the great state of Ohio WILL keep him behind bars. Until this sick, twisted monster is taken out in a box, he can stay at Southeastern Correctional facility. And I will continue to gladly sign the petition to keep him there.

No matter how long, the wounds of losing Robyn will never fade. Listening to her brother is so heart wrenching, still to this day talking about it can be tricky.
Keep that monster locked away from other people's children. He won't change. He's desperate to get out, because he can't wait to get his murderous hands on some inocent girl, or as many as he can as revenge. That aunt is nothing but a murderer herself. She killed truth, decency, and should've suffered more severely. To Robyns family, I want to express my deepest sympathy, and tell them, that I hope that they will have success in keeping that dangerous monster off the streets. RIP Robyn.

This is an absolute SHOCK to me, to see this case on my feed. As a person who grew up and still lives in Berea, thank you for keeping Robyn's story alive. I grew up around the corner from where she lived, on Woodmere. Grew up with Rick's kids. Went to the same middle school as Robyn. We'd cross the street instead of walk past their damned house. Even after they were chased out of town. There's still a plaque memorializing her at Roehm, despite the actual school being torn down and it being an athletic complex now. Her death is still in the hearts of the community to this day and she will never be forgotten.
Also, we forgive you for the mispronunciations of Berea and Roehm. Not many not from the area can without hearing it first x)
