I’m in a bit of a similar situation where we keep expenses below half our take home pay
that meant sacrificing on where we live, where we send the kids to school, when we go out to eat, etc.
The outcome is a very comfortable level of surplus we can pretty much do whatever we want with, and no sense of urgency (motivation) to be aggressive with paying off the mortgage and invest because holidays, home renovations, a new motorbike, or just Netflix and Uber eats would be more immediately satisfying
every day reminding yourself to have that long game unlocked when you are comfortable is against our basic human nature.

I’m 1:20 in and I can confirm - this woman IS a Tesla owner. She may not OWN a Tesla at the time of this call, but she is, in fact, a Tesla owner whether she knows it or not. Therefore, a Tesla WAS in fact purchased, likely very shortly after this video.

I'm in the same boat. But, I decided against buying a Tesla since I drive so little working from home. It would be a waste of money
