I don't buy the idea that former prosecutors don't make effective defense attorneys or can't effectively cross-examine a prosecution witness. That's just silly. Just look at how many defense attorneys started out as prosecutors. I think Todd Blanche's problems arose from two factors: 1) he has not stood up to Trump and told Trump that he needs to let him do his job and stop trying to dictate trial strategy; and 2) despite having plenty of time to prepare, I don't believe that Blanche sufficiently prepared in advance to cross-examine Michael Cohen. It definitely seems that both Blanche and Necheles, at times, conducted their cross-examinations in a manner that would please Trump, rather than in a manner that would provide the most effective defense. You can't do that. The attorney is the expert, and Trump is not. Letting Trump dictate how counsel do their jobs is just dumb. Moreover, there is no excuse for not being sufficiently prepared.
Trump should have authorized his attorneys to try to negotiate a misdemeanor guilty plea a long time ago to put this whole matter behind him. I would think that Alvin Bragg would have been receptive. I don't know that that's possible now.

Mike Johnson being a "Former Prosecuter" should know you are not allowed to talk or make noise in a Courthouse. Noise in a Courthouse while a case is progress can distract the Jury. A Courthouse is like a Library, you need to be quiet.
